+ curly (the only other protagonist you watch/play through) and his relationship with jimmy as a "friend" and how this (plus some elements of curly's own personality/insecurities as a captain) ultimately enables the events of this game
+ anya (the most important non-player character, thematically/narratively speaking) and how her experiences and actions in the course of the story have been influenced by the people and environments (literal and cultural) that surround her, and how she exists in the minds of jimmy and curly
+ "safety" (the safety of what/who? what people/entities are responsible for safety, and what two kinds of people can cause isolated environments to become unsafe for someone in a story like this? who is most likely in this scenario to be threatened by someone/something in these literally-isolated & culturally-isolating environments?)

"the first one happened when he was little. so, he found a rock outside while him and tristan were playing and then he ran up to me, dave and ex and yelled 'expunged, dave, bambi!! i found a rock!! i'm gonna name it larry!' and then he ran off with the rock and told tristan that he named it. tristan played into it and said hi to the rock, lol. and the second one happened a few months ago. he had found a roly-poly outside and ran inside to show me, and he just put it up in my face and said 'isopod!!' and then ran away. i was so confused afterward, haha! i had to go ask him what he had 'cuz i didn't see it the first time. he showed me again and had me hold it for a second. i was a little weirded out, but hey. he was happy, so that's all that matters."

expunged: "there are alot of times that he has, so i can't only pick one. but basically it goes like: oh no i'm feeling really bad, i need to vent, i find mr. haywood (he may not be in the same room as me so i'd have to look for him), i ask if i can vent to him, he agrees and sits by me as he holds me close, i tell him about everything on my mind and decompress as i do, he comforts me, and then i feel better. hope this answer's okay ^^"

ps!expunged: "yes. i showed zem locket - crumb and headlock - imogen heap (thanks for introducing me to that song by the way), and ze has been listening to them ever since. i'm happy that zeir happy."

i also have been keeping a meal diary lately... i didnt realize i ate rice so often, i think i had eight servings from that six-day tub of white rice! and then i wondered how much it costs for every serving/meal i make, and i'm a little relieved it's still 4 cents a meal... of course i add like two other things to it most of the time (usually beans + something else like meats or potatoes or idk) so it's still more expensive than that, maybe ~50 cents...? but that's still a really good comfortable price and it usually means every day of food costs less than 3 dollars each, how cool is that :>
anyway, it's so heartwarming to hear that "headlock" has been a sweet addition for ps!bandu <3 seeing where the music goes after you share it is really fun!!

currently recording any probable costs of books & supplies for every specific degree i can find at local colleges
(an unrealistic endeavor, but it's important to me anyway despite not having any meaningful relevance to anything in my life at the moment)
i only started with one degree and i'm already discovering that this is a very tall order
dozens of courses for every degree, books for every course, at various costs
maybe i can get a handful of degrees recorded out of the ~80 that exist, before the day ends
that being said, mindgaming is fun/interesting depending on who you ask and what their position is, as well as their mood/mentality, so that's pretty fair-- most strategies are now quite old to me and hardly mean anything anymore... as much as mindgaming could prove to be engaging, this game has been ruthlessly optimized to death (currently, success mostly just relies on adaptation + execution + availability) and i generally prefer collaborative socialization now
although i still play to "win", that socialization is still generally sincere, and it seems like it'll continue to be how i want to value the thread when possible
in any case, i can only wish you luck in whatever you plan to do, in-game or not

update on dr2 but it has been stuck in the chapter 3 trial with the playlist tab still open
i got distracted by half of the 40 other tabs for the past week or two lmao
emotionally peko was devastating but personally i felt disappointed when i noticed how little we learn about her and how her story is basically mostly under the idea that she's side-by-side with/for fuyuhiko... but it's understandable ig
i still do appreciate fuyuhiko a lot with the way he opens up
