You don't need a tripod, per se. You could probably get away with upping the sensitivity of the sensor (ISO) or opening the lens aperture as much as it can (though both come with inherent downsides like noisy pictures and shallow dof), on top of having the shutter speed as slow as you can manage with just using hands.
There's also photographing in raw format and doing post-processing in lightroom, but idk if you already do/want to do that or not.
But yeah, keep it up! Can't wait to see more cool photos!
