Yeah, I talk about Wii games on here sometimes. But if someone without a PS3 came in here talking about Halo or something, then they're in the wrong thread.
Yeah, I totally believe now that Anonymous had nothing to do with this.Sony wrote:

They're going to be retarded, because they know they can save more money by forcing a shit title on members instead of having them save money on the expensive stuff. Also, where did you hear that it'll be up this weekend?awp wrote:
PSN's supposed to be up this weekend, and the people who attacked it are planning to, well, attack it again, apparently. Or maybe some other Sony servers (in which case PSN will probably be okay).
Sony still hasn't said what "free downloads" entails, but if they're not retarded, it should consist of "money added to your Wallet" so you can download whatever the fuck you want rather than some obscure title less than 100% of the people want.
The soundtrack packaged with the game omitted a lot of songs. I think they threw half the soundtrack there and the other half was available for purchase or something.awp wrote:
Back on Persona 4, my legal copy arrived in the mail the other day, and I've noticed that the soundtrack CD is missing the last two tracks from the Truth. No, missing isn't the right word. They're just hidden. Accepting them as missing would be a convenient truth, but if I look hard enough I might be able to find them.
Atlus and some other companies do this quite a bit. They throw in a "sampler" disc with half the tracks from the game and it's worse when the sampler is in the special edition...Ivalset wrote:

Wait, wasn't the JPN PSN already up? Or maybe I heard wrong.....Behonkiss wrote:
And another update. Sony no longer has any clue how long it's going to take.
People were doubting me when I said that this could kill the Playstation brand, but the longer it goes on, the more likely it looks.
The problem is that online console gaming wasn't a big deal then. Now nearly every game on the console integrates it deeply in some way, and players aren't getting the full experience for their 60 bucks. People are already pissed and are getting more pissed with every announcement. Even if they survive this, they're never going to be the same again.Pokebis wrote:
PSN didn't exist the first two generations and it was successful enough.
Provide good software support and people will buy it. Network ain't everything.

three months, actually. Three months after it's all over people will have forgotten about itIvalset wrote:

I'll probably be getting RB3 soonish. I've finally gone through most of the games I wanted to play and RB3 is finally at a decent price. But there are a lot of really decent games coming out soon, too, like LA Noire. But since RB3 is so cheap, I can get it and just play it every now and then or whatever.Rolled wrote:

I know I had my first bout of "oh god dammit PSN's down" the other day when I was playing rock band 3 and it was like "Harmonix recommends you download Blood and Thunder by Mastodon" and I was like "that's a great suggestion I think I willRolled wrote:

That's been debunked by Sony.Behonkiss wrote:

New PS3 update is live. PSN is coming back up very, very soon. Time for things to get back to the status quo.
Edit: Or at least, you know, some of it is back. The Store isn't back yet, which kinda sucks cause Honest Hearts for Fallout is coming out on Tuesday. Also, my LA Noire DLC needs the Store.
PSN's already up for me, sooo...anongos wrote:

Haven't heard one. I assumed it's going to be cheap, but I could be in for a huge surprise, now that I think about it.adam2046 wrote:

The crappy thing about that is even when the PS Store goes back up, you'll still probably have to wait until they eventually release the game. Cause they're not gonna just release everything we've missed all at once.Ivalset wrote:
Yeah.
I wish I had more to say in this thread. But that store needs to go up.

See, this is plenty good information for me: I don't like playing games online.Ivalset wrote:
I could confidently say that WKC2 will be an absolutely amazing game for online multiplayer (which is the meat of the game).
I never really had trouble with getting killed by enemies like that, however one of the late bosses did that. Also, I played with my brother so I was stuck as Marta, I don't find her too bad though, and her Mystic Arte is great for random enemies.Seibei4211 wrote:
Lately I've been spending all my time with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World though. It's not as good as the original, but it's good enough. It's also a bit harder than the original ever was. Some of the most random enemies are able to drain my health in less than 2 seconds sometimes. It kinda sucks that there's only two actual party members, and one of them suuuuucks.
Quick Reply has been around for several months, but not always.Ivalset wrote:

Also wow, about time there's a quick reply. Or maybe it's always been there and it's the first time I've misclicked.
Yeah, it's not my favorite by any means, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to rush out and buy it, but it's a decent enough fix for someone who hasn't played a Tales game in ages like me. The game gets a lot better the more you play it, cause you start out with shit moves and stuff. The good thing is that this game isn't nearly as long as the first one, so I should be able to get through it soon enough so I can start the real run with 10x EXP and all that GRADE stuff.Ivalset wrote:

I died in my very first non-tutorial battle. The bats in the cave could somehow kill me almost instantly. It took me a while to realize that I should get surrounded by enemies, which would always drain my health fast, and that I should just play Semi-Auto instead of Manual because I can't block/dodge for shit in this game. I could in ToS, but not here. Once I realized that juggling was pretty much the easiest way to not get hit, I stopped getting hurt so much. Also, I forgot about Quests until chapter 4, so I wasn't getting a lot of EXP.rust45 wrote:

Actually, now there's a rumor going around that it might be $14.99, which sounds incredibly cheap so I'm a bit weary still.adam2046 wrote:

They hacked a single website? Holy shit, yeah, these guys mean serious business. The entire fabric of Sony's network will be unraveled with the hacking of a few of their websites. Unless these guys permanently take down the PSN or something, they won't even bruise Sony's wallet.Behonkiss wrote:

Between this and the apparent breaking of the promise to get the store back up at the end of the month (And saying literally nothing in the way of updates), Yeah, I'd say the Playstation brand is in serious danger now.
The PSN attack scored a crit of at least $180 millionSeibei4211 wrote:

I'm not talking about those guys at all. I'm talking about the people who hacked that Japanese Sony site and are planning on doing another "Sony operation". I really don't think those guys are the same ones who fucked with the PSN, and as such, they aren't a big concern. The PSN attack was somewhat damaging to profits and reputation, but in a few months the internet will move on and these profits/reputations will return to the status quo.awp wrote:

that's fairly sizeable. More-so when you factor in the reputation and goodwill damages
iirc that lulsecs or whatever group we're talking about claimed they did the PSN attackSeibei4211 wrote:

I checked it out as well as Dead Nation (the two I'm making a choice over). Both look pretty interesting, though for different reasons. This doesn't seem the kind of game I'd go co-op for, but Dead Nation looks a bit like a run and gun/roguelike combination, which I would actually play with a friend.DawnII wrote:
Someone questioned Super Stardust HD earlier. One of the first PSN games i bought, pretty kickass. Can only really enjoy it with a really large tv, 32" for example feels way too cramped. It is very pretty and the coop is cool, tho it gets a little annoying ala old school side scroller coop. Anyway, it's certainly recommendable. I already have Wipeout HD and LBP as well, so infamous and dead nation for me. All these 5 games are apparently really good so you can't go wrong with whatever you pick.

Yeah, I just screwed myself out of a free game since this shit isn't working right. Luckily, I have a second account, so it doesn't matter. That also means I can probably get all three of the games I don't have if I just wait until this stuff starts working.
Oh shit, thanks for that info, dude. Never woulda figured that out myself.Nekoroll wrote:

I'll probably get the free games later this week.
Thank goodness it was free then. I'd be more pissed if I paid for a game that was way too hard for me and/or fucking bullshit.Ivalset wrote:
