Btw, guys. You can turn it off via the mods. They said that in the post. ^^; (Unless that was just recently edited in.)

Gotta say though. @.@ I had to quit after a while cause I was getting a headache.


Some songs this can work---However anything Hatsune Miku will rupture eardrums with it's unbearable squeakiness.

Initial reaction:

Half asleep Aisua opens osu. Random anime girl pops up out of nowhere and changes half sleep to half death. I didn't even NOTICE the nightcore switchover until after I got over being freaked out by a random loli. xD

Add switch ON/OFF changes , maybe not everybody like nightcore and unclick "dubletime" every time when want play :]

A few minutes ago, I just thought of this thing as a bug which makes Double Time a 'default mod' for eternity, which I know, would suck for me. :o So, I thought of ALMOST sending it as a bug, but oh, I saw this topic and LOL, did I get a breather. :?

Anywayyyyyyyy, this sounds AWESOME!!! :)

But also, with all due respect, I suggest that you inform players who don't check the main site so often(like me)... :? A pop-up that shows up in the lower right bottom of the screen like a notification when they log-in the server in-game might do. That would save more people from panicking thinking that their game got a bug and run around flailing their arms like a little girl. (honestly, I almost did that.) :| I just felt like I fell for a prank :o

Oh, right. Speaking of pranks, Happy April Fools! :)

For all those who want to get ri of it. Just go to Mod Selection near the bottom of your beatmap list window and take off double time or "2x"

Because this upgrade can make some of the beatmaps difficult to play, you can disable osu!core on a map by disabling DoubleTime in mod select. It will be enabled on the next map you pick, so you can experience it as intended. Keep in mind that Reset All Mods will turn it on, not off.

just click on mod selection, then click on double time and play, but when u change of song the double time turns ON again.

That would be the giant anime girl on the title screen?

The only people I can understand getting confounded were those with their clocks set forward.

I love this, even songs like Street Fighter songs sound better, and all the heavy songs, epic.
One thing, I heard a couple people said they set the computer clock a day ahead to disable it? (Instead of setting DoubleTime to off) >_>
Does that mean tomorrow there will be no more Nightcore? D:

hopefully not spoiling the pleasure everyone else is enjoying...
it's just that....I actually found it disturbing to have a whole list of song become "8va"-ed....
turning the mod off does not affect the pitch in the map list...and every time you picked another map, you have to turn off the mod again...

maybe it is impolite or sth, but I still wanna ask: when will the mod be disabled?

Lol at first I thought it was my comp so I turned it off and back on again....
Then I thought someone fed my OSU speed and I laughed...
I listened to the chipmunks sing for a while..... I got a headache @_@
There is nothing worse than listening to a chipmunk Hatsune Miku sing at her highest pitch
Though it makes Mindless Self Indulgence songs sound hilarious, I hope this truly is an April fools joke but in case it isn't and they are being serious I hope they add a true on/off switch so I can listen to them as they normally are and that I don't have to keep turning it off in the mods for every song I want to play... I never knew how bad was at it till now lol XD

Will Double Time continue to be like that ? Or it's juste for 1rst April and they will turn back 'normal' Double Time tomorrow ?

lol you should try Xion's song from Kingdom Hearts or some of Epik Highs songs, it's mind blowing with epic lols I'm enjoying this joke in every way of the word... now I just have to use it to trick my younger sister into thinking she broke my comp and it will be 3x the lols ^.^ Wierd al's Polka Power *falls to the floor laughing*

can't u make a button in the special mod??? it will be a lot easier for new players and they won't be confused from the strange high sound and the speed although is cool but I get al little frustrated from the high pinch and not normal music from the menu if you make a night core special button it will be great

mr creator of osu. this aint funny. you have taken away chance for lower rank ppl to train properly. more importantly..by doing this, u r looking down on them, which when u first started playing any games u wud have suck on it. u only attain better skills tru training isint it? And also some songs are better in thier original. yet u changed them all to chipmunk style. even if u r a fan of chipmunk...hatsune miku in chipmunk style isnt hatsune already rite? then wad for we need a miku? just ask th chip munks to sing th song. all the song sound so spolit now. I urge u to reconsider this change. please consider setting up a on/off button for nightcore style. previously the setting was to press once and it will stay double time for all song rite? now we lower rank ppl who r training hard get to enjoy the hassle of pressing off double time for every map we play? that's preety unfair. Please! I strongly urged you to reconsider again. Thank you very much if you can help.

Not a fan of nightcore myself but it was an interesting twist. Considering I never use doubletime anyway.

The character is one of the original character created by an artist for his artbooks sold in Japan.. He/she is one of the most inspiring manga artist for me....I admired him/her so much..... I don't know his/her real name, I cannot even get his/her artbooks... I really want all of his/her artbooks for collection... :(

By the way, how to turn this osu!core off forever? I like it at the first time, but it is starting to annoy me... Someone said I should change the computer's date... Is there any other way to turn osucore off without changing the computer's date?

I would very much like an off-switch for this. Having to change the settings each time I choose a different song or change difficulty is getting pretty tedious.

I understand that it's April Fool's day but not everyone is going to be so enthusiastic about this.

The character is one of the original character created by an artist for his artbooks sold in Japan.. He/she is one of the most inspiring manga artist for me....I admired him/her so much..... I don't know his/her real name, I cannot even get his/her artbooks... I really want all of his/her artbooks for collection... :(

By the way, how to turn this osu!core off forever? I like it at the first time, but it is starting to annoy me... Someone said I should change the computer's date... Is there any other way to turn osucore off without changing the computer's date?
