I like how if a 'famous' or 'pro' player gets banned for cheating, everybody goes "OH NO HE DIDN'T CHEAT".

also agree w/ azure, there were PLENTY of warnings and second chances. In fact, this time people are still getting second chances [score wipes and not bans if they admitted], which I don't necessarily agree with but still, it's more than they deserve.

It's not our [legit players] faults that people don't use their head before they cheat.

We can show a video, that Ignatius does not use "hack"?
Are a vote and then for those who believe that the video is convincing

doesn't really matter if you have proof of him not cheating, because clearly he cheated at least once, which is resulting in his ban.

so you're saying that u want to show a video of him not cheating to prove what? .. it's already known about real facts that he cheated in at least 10 maps submitting maps with FL hack , so making a video of him not cheating will prove absolute nothing.

I really think I need to write up a blog post about the whole... cheating thing. It totally leaves me in awe that people are still willing to side with accused cheaters against the creator of a game to try and prove their innocence. They are standing up for what are in most cases complete strangers that they have had no contact outside an online chat room. I've been through the backlash of various regional communities fighting against me to have someone proven innocent (note that no-one yet has been falsely accused) and am getting quite sick of it.

Banning cheaters is a necessary action to take, but I don't like spending too much time on it. In the last two weeks I have spent over 20 hours working on improving the automation of the ban process, adding tools so others can help ban cheaters etc. This is time that could be spent improving osu! for those that don't cheat. Of course, this time is time which I chose to allocate to this task in order to keep people happy and keep the online rankings fair. Having to deal with multiple email threads, abuse being yelled at me on IRC and a lot of forum PMs is something I don't want to spend my time on.

If you don't agree with my decisions on who is cheating, then please take this opportunity to leave osu! and find something else to play instead. I am not interested in offerings of videos proving anything, as they don't help. Nor am I interested in knowing that you know a cheater in real life and your opinion that they would never cheat.

If you choose this option, I do suggest you should reconsider how much you trust other human beings, and who your friends are. My judgements are both automatically deducted (in a way that can't be wrong. as in 100%. 101% if you like) and checked individually by myself or another administrator just in case.

I'd just like to add that trying to prove that someone ISN'T a cheater by recording a video is a bad form of integrity. Recordings and videos can easily be manipulated in favor of the accused, which is another lie in itself. If this is the path you are trying to attempt, stop for a minute and think about what you are doing. You are lying to a community of 600,000+ members, to protect a lying player, who has cheated and lied to said community about earning his score. You're doing nothing but making yourself look just as bad as the cheater in question.

The other problem I have against recording of plays, is that what is stopping you from installing another, un-modified copy of osu! and playing from that? Great, you have the potential to play without cheating. Congratulations. That's what you should have done from the beginning. Keep in mind that just because you're a hardcore gamer does not stand grounds for banning for cheating, nor will it prove that at one point or another, you used a cheating method to enhance your score. osu! has other methods for proving scores are modified however, but that information is not going to be released.

If you people think that peppy, the creator of the free game that he has provided for peoples enjoyment, is unaware of how his code is supposed to work, I would also recommend finding another game to play. Those of you who are trying to cheat for score are unaware of the other negative effects you are causing, including the programming time spent that could be used to improve osu!, as peppy said earlier.

If you use cheat-tool once, you are cheater. You could be banned.

I hate whoever ask others to record osu , especially in score seems thread.
Pay cost of video recorder and time asap (in my opinion of course)

Enjoy osu!. Never use any kind of tool. Enjoy osu. Don't be suspicious.

I'm almost sure that acc is a multi from Ignacio , taking the same tops he lost when he got banned , and in case he isn't , it's still a multi account so deserves the ban.

you can never know for sure.. just look out for weird ranks and report them i guess, then they'll be checked

I've never cheated before and I'm not on the list but I hear a lot of talk about a Mineral Hack. Like in the comments in replays and stuff. May someone please exlain to me what that is? I'm not going to use it since I don't cheat in rhythm games....there is no need to >_>

I suspect this guy of having multiaccounts, since he's Sing hard/insane songs since the day of his registration, i.e today.

That's just not right, and not necessary, makes people just mad.

I'm also wondering why no one have tell that before or has do something agains it, do the admin don't know it?

If some one plays a beat map with a BPM over 200, hard patterns and the mod's HD + FL, this can't be a true gameplay! Nvm how often you played it!
And if some should really manage this, there should be a gameplay with a huge count on the profile!

That creeps me now months ago out and I'm not the only person who is thinking about that.
Now some people can say there was allready a threat about it or has report some people allready, but then I'm wondering why there are still - in my opinion - so much people who are using that? If you would say that, that would mean that the Admins didn't care about it and didn't made good job, what I don't think so!

Rokodo uses a double monitor and he has a lot of Taiko #1s (including one of mine, in which I used HD+HR+FL legitimately). Apparently it's not even considered cheating, even though IMO it most definitely should be.

Unfortunately, the way taiko is played makes it impossible to differentiate (from replays/records, not by our opinions) exploits from real gameplay.. The only possible way I can think of is to remove the multipliers from taiko, but that would make many real players rage (because it really is ridiculous - I'm not saying it should be done).. That's why the admins can't do anything about this.

It's all up to the players whether they want to respect themselves and the other players.

I've made just a picture of this site because, I don't want to publish it.
I think it is clear to see, that there are the notes of KITAsaitama2000(name edit for LM, lol). That mean's, all you just now need, is the feeling for the BPM and that's all.
So people with a really good BPM feeling are possible to play like this without doubly monitor.
Makes sence, or not? Am I'm wrong?

Edit: Just as reminder, I did not published any names who has played FL + HD (+HR).

Exactly! I don't see how any of that is cheating....it's just how people play....I've heard people say Z and X for clicking is cheating....unless you're modding the game you're cheating. 'Nuff said.

^ Indeed because of the modding. So double monitor or hitcircles sheet's are still another kind then these equipments.
Same like cheating in exam with the answers on the sheet. It's also not allowed.

I believe what he means is watching the sheets while playing the map, not memorizing them and then playing. memorizing them from a sheet and then playing would be completely legit (and awesome) but sadly most of the times you can't distinguish between the two cases.

Well honestly I don't want to disscuss about this in the Forum, otherwise I must make examples and I don't want show peoples name.

o. o what? Note - I played these maps offline, and to this day I was in the top 1-4 in these maps. :evil: And have experience of playing in these maps. After I played this maps with spun out and realized that I could achieved #1 - i played this maps without him. How about Hatsune_Miku, Kochiya_Sanae? They is too cheaters :?:
