So, hello everyone.
I'm totally new to mapping and I'm working a little on three mapsets now. But all I did is general structure and the main problem is hitsounding. Of course, after finishing several diffs, I'm immediately started looking for guides about it. I watched videos of pishifat, read some forum topics, but there are still some questions. And now I hope someone helps figure this out.
1. Sound choice
1.1 The first thing is: should I always use custom hitsounds or it's ok to use std ones?
1.2 If I want to use some custom hss, what is the best way to find the appropriate ones? Is there some websites with sound libraries, or something different?
2. Algorithm
2.1 What is the common way to hitsound map?
2.2 Should I make initial hitsounding with std sounds, just to make proper beat, and after that find some custom sounds to change std ones, or vice versa need to originally hitsound with final sounds?

Oh, maybe I forgot some questions but I hope it will be much easier for me to map if I take answers at least of these questions.
Also, there might be some some mistakes, sorry for my English. :)

if a default sample fits theres no reason not to use it
