Trashipitus-B infection through quoting

It has been a really, really long while since any new development regarding to how the Trashipitus-B virus works have been published. As you may recall, Trashipitus-B spreads through visual stimulation of certain patterns. This stimulation triggers a rampant reaction within an individual which causes them to behave in uncontrollable and indecent ways. 99% alcohol has an active ingredient to suppress this rampant reaction, but it has been banned for quite some time.

While OT since suffered few isolated cases of Trashipitus-B outbreaks, surprisingly things are under control given how there is little to no treatment available. That doesn't mean conducting research on this virus is not needed, however. This latest research is related to how the virus spreads via quoting.

As you should know, once an infected person makes a post, coming in contact with it would likely make you infected. As such, the best way to prevent the spread of the virus is by not quoting. A lingering question remained despite this: Does the virus eventually die if you give it enough time? If the virus indeed does die, then that would make older posts safer to quote. If not, then old posts would be as dangerous to quote as new ones.

I conducted experiments and found the results really interesting. Quoting infected people's posts has same infection rate no matter how much time has passed. Meanwhile quoting your own posts, even if you were infected at the time, has significantly less infection rate. Do note the rate is not zero, so there is still a chance you might get infected.

I have one idea why that might be. The virus is slightly different in everyone who is infected, and each person build immunity to the strand they are infected with over time. So this would make you less likely infected with the same strand, hence less likely you would infect yourself. It is possible that with enough time you would build enough immunity to have 0% chance of getting infected from yourself. More research and time is needed to confirm that.
