Yeah,that's MEGA's work.Heck,his works have a -very- distinctive style (Rotterdam Techno)
Basically...if it sounds like something from Ridge Racer and features a lot of voice samples
(I'm looking at you,VOX UP),chances are it's from MEGA.

Here's a list of songs he composed for BEMANI!
(Rottel-da-sun and Violently Car appear in Pop'n Music too)
His songs there sound pretty interesting (if not WTF-am-I-hearing) and I think
they're a challenge to taikomap.

Outside BEMANI and Taiko...?Errrr,I can only remember Son of Sun from DMT...

Sometimes it is quite easy to tell the artist from his/her songs,especially
when (s)he's got a distinctive style.Or a leitmotif.

How do I put it..?
Usually when I listen to MEGA's weirder songs like Rottel-da-sun and VOX UP,
it sounds really WTF to me,but eventually it starts growing on me lol.
(the same thing happened with Waxing and Wanding too)

BTW,we don't have a lot of custom taiko maps for Pop'n songs,amirite?
That game's like a treasure trove for BEMANI originals.

Also,I -think- Tatsh's songs tend to feature a "don kadon doka" or "dodon kadon doka" rhythm...
Namely with the ASIAN MIXTURE stuff,Mei,the latter two for the no Mai series (not sure with Ryougen),
Day of the Future and other songs.
(it's most obvious with Mei and Kachoufuusetsu)

And if the song sounds like Evans,it's DJ Yoshitaka's work lol
He's lacking originality those days.

4. No Way Back (Ura)
5. KAGEKIYO (Ura)
6. Etude Op. 10-4 (Ura)
7. Doom Noiz
8. Black Rose Apostle (both)
9. Hataraku 2000
10. Joubutsu 2000

Graphics and links will be made over the next few days.

There was another DVD before this (man I gotta clarify stuff, I forgot I actually broke this one), which I recorded the 4 on, but only very few PCs can read it (the DVD is a bit corrupt I think), but my sisters' PC can still rip the stuff from there. Since I figured that my PC can't read this DVD (and even the DVD Recorder needs to reset like, 8 times, just so it would work with that DVD), I bought another one and re-recorded it there, which is the broken one now. After cleaning up some stuff, I found this old, almost unreadable DVD, and it actually works on my sisters' lappy. I can probably rip it from here for a while, that is, when my sister leaves home without her laptop.

But certainly it's ages easier to pass Hataraku than Doom Noiz. On that 2000 song, all you have to do to pass hard parts is to press/hit very fast don buttons! Doom Noiz requires a skill of another level, surely.

(and post the SotW of this week-I'm using a portatile. See my notes S:)

Hataraku is still harder than Doom Noiz.

...for the most basic example I can tell, I failed Hataraku the first time I played it (owata).

I failed Hata five times (on DS3, and still managed to fail it twice on Wii3 orz) but passed Doom on my first try :P

First question:
When I was in Japan I bought a Taiko drum con, with it I play now. And I was wondering who else have one?
Would be fun to play with more people on the drum con.~

Second question:
Do any one of you know this...? Like you can see it is called　メダルの達人(Medaru no Tatsujin). ww

1st Question: personally, I have the Wii drums! I usually use them for Pc, but I'm not the kind of player you'll normally expect... -_-" I'm also outside home right now, so I bet you need to fing another rival for now S:

2nd Question: You're right, the arcade you've seen is Medal no Tatsujin, the arcade spin-off with board games and TONS of tokens. More accurate, your snap comes from the arcade's sequel! If you wanna know more 'bout the games, here are a pair of links about them on Taiko Time, Aquabluu's blog:

3rd Question: Aaah... Rotter Taiyo(9)shinko... I'll put my hands up, try to ask the other circus attractions (like the already-cited Aquabluu or the Android-handed Zekira xD) If they are able to pass a 15* song (Joubutsu2000), to clear that will be a piece of cake x3

(@aqua & Zekira: I'm the only alien here? Doom Noiz took me 2 tries in order to pass it; Hataraku2000 needed me ONE, SINGLE try. And again, ONE try for Pc. (let's obviously hide my 123 tries on Ds T.t))

Both Doom Noiz and Hataraku I passed on my first try (on computer Taiko, lol).

I can definitely tell that Hataraku is way harder to FC though.

To get Ura mode (Inner) in arcade:

1.) Put in your coins
2.) DON'T PRESS DON YET
3.) Alternatively hit right and left katsu twenty times
4.) If done correctly, the logo on the arcade should glow. That means you've activated Ura mode.
5.) Now you can start play mode. All Ura things will replace whatever they need to replace.

I'm assuming you know how to unlock Oni? (hit right katsu ten times while on Muzukashii)

Well Lokamp's map works (and also I kinda forgot about lepido's mapset, he's ranked so many and rarely ever posts about them so I didn't really know...gotta check his profile more often) although Lokamp's mp3 kinda has a low volume.

Anyway, I somehow managed to find the .ttf font file to the official version of the Taiko no Tatsujin font. I love it. <3

Compare the fonts here.

Click here to download it. Again, I have no idea how I managed to find it, because I forgot how I found it. But enjoy anyhow. :3

Or, it might increase circle numbers ;_;

I've done quite a few 765's already by deleting random notes or substituting certain clusters for something else.

lol, nah. The site where I found the found the font from is absolutely free. The only problem was that the site the font was hosted at was entirely Japanese, so it took me a while to find the actual download link. Moreover, the site's bandwidth was at a pathetic 10kB/s which is PATHETIC crap to what my ISP provides. Hence why I uploaded it to MediaFire, since its in English and has a more generous download bandwidth. :D

On the Wii3 unlockables list there's also one more hitsound unlocked through normal play. I don't understand what it says, but I know it consists of two kanji characters, and it's unlockable at a random point during play mode (just like soccer, vuvuzela and thunder taiko).

Also you do NOT get a hitsound when you achieve Taiko God (highest rank), just saying.

Have any of you got the Kodama hitsound (9999 Dream Taiko Land medals) yet? It takes way too painfully long, only 7.6k so far even with the method you told me, aquabluu...

Anyway, I made to unlock that stuffy 9999-medals hitsound. Still thinking it's easier to unlock it in Taiko Wii 2, by the way xD

Once aqua's don with that picture of Arumujika, crystal should upload it on pixiv and credit the original artist (and make sure he/she sees it, lol)

Eh I figured I didn't want to do anymore shading because that picture was so frickin perfect I didn't want to mess with it any further (and comboburst for Taiko skin doesn't have shading anyway)

If you want a pixiv-worthy version I can do simple BGs.

especially since there's no (?) fully European lady in Touhou (maybe Remilia, but she's a vampire).

However from your description I actually think it looks weird at the moment.

Uploaded the comboburst into my Arumujika map, together with a section-pass and section-fail (better credit LuigiHann for the original design too). Goddammit I love vector art. So easy to make and comes out looking so professional.

@above: Hey, great work!. Could have been a bit more violent and active (like the song itself), but whatevs :)

It's OK,BRA has a pretty ruthless side,almost like Ryougen.
(but the ultimate nightmare is Joubutsu,of course)

I'm actually basing off the official's opinion about the diffs of the 2000 series.
In Hataraku's intro on the Official Blog,Hataraku was considered the toughest out of
the 4 god songs.So yeah...

IDK...that song seems to be pretty popular...(I blame the ear-worm factor.And the Mitsubachi meme.)

I just dreamed last night again (...and dreams that are stories are kind of one of my more unnatural powers, I won't bother explaining), and now I couldn't stop thinking about adapting these designs and writing it. Yep, you heard it right: I think I'll be breaking my shell here and ignore the 9 unpublished fanfics that I have, and make a new one based on these.

...it will however stray away from the usual genre of Taiko's story, as I'll be writing it in my preferred plot and genre, that is, more towards fantasy.

I'll be keeping the details to myself for now, but the reason why I'm asking is so that I could listen to the songs and maybe come up with the personality of each of them. The only detail I can tell right now is that the protagonist will be Ryougen, and I'll possibly be writing it from his PoV.

You guys can also suggest to me how their personalities should be, but right now I am in dire need of a word-ified visual description for all of them (I suck at describing something visual)

(hopefully I don't get writers block and end up stopping this, like the million other fics I have... I don't actually have a fic that I've finished, lol, just like the Teruru fic I probably haven't told anyone about)

In particular, I still don't know what song "Shito" is from, but the fact that he's connected to Blackrose means that I really need him for an important plotpoint.
