only when you want guidelines are only guidelines, eh?

why not tolerate maps that have a good reason, instead of saying "it's rule" before even understand that.peppy wrote:
READ THIS: All guidelines are exactly that: GUIDELINES. They are NOT rules and may be broken in special cases. If you are wanting to break a guideline, ask yourself only this: Does what I'm doing make sense? Is it more fun to play like this compared to if i had to stick to the guidelines? If you answer yes to both these questions then it is probably OK.
When have I complained about anybody else using more than three slider speeds?Lunah wrote:

I and everyone else am at liberty to map whatever I want. I could complain about you mapping nightcore, which is essentially the original song sped up and made higher with a beat underneath, but I don't. I also have no idea how you can't find this hilariousLunah wrote:

Probably, if they actually worked well with the map. As unlikely as that is.ouranhshc wrote:
does this mean i can use 10 slider speeds in a map?
In fact i did: "I'm not really against all these changes (because i always supported any kind of creativity)"RandomJibberish wrote:
And of course, having 0.8, 0.7 and 0.75 isn't neccesary, and I should have reused speeds at points instead of making new ones. I think you'll agree, however, that it works fine as it is now and isn't worth adjusting a large number of sliders to fix.
That's not entirely true actually.RandomJibberish wrote:
The slow slider has already been increased in speed - Anyone looking at the ticks can easily see the slowdown coming. Actually, I'd say the speedup at the BPM change is worse.

I actually did once. It was worse than this believe it or not!Glass wrote:

Both map and song matter. If the song is total shit, then the map won't feel good. Learn to add the two together.Blue Dragon wrote:

OMG SLIDER SPEEDS THAT MAKES IT THE WORST MAP EVER RIGHT
But saying the MAP is bad when the map is pretty nice and the song is terrible is bullshit.Natteke wrote:

you're just angry because you got a D on the mapJesusYamato wrote:

That "random screaming" in fact had pitch and rhythm associated with it. Your argument is faulty.JesusYamato wrote:

I refuse to play it, i just did it fast to vote 1.E-Hooker wrote:

FYI = a song is part of the map imo. I won't make any comments there because the music makes it not fun. (yes I played it)Blue Dragon wrote:

This is absolutely ridiculous. Maps of a certain standard are ranked because they've been deemed as acceptable. It is completely irrelevant if nobody else likes the song but the mapper. osu! will never have any sort of filtering regarding that unless, I guess, the song itself lends itself so horribly to a map because the timing is all over the place or something, but I don't see that happening.Lunah wrote:

Why the fuck do you have to leave comments like that in every other map thread that you don't like the song.JesusYamato wrote:

There are much better map with better music/songs waiting to be approved/ranked and yet shit that can hardly be called music gets ranked faster because it's "mapped by a friend".Glass wrote:

Seriously if you don't like it, don't play it, and don't complain about it here, or just do that quick 1/10 shit that nobody cares about and keep it to yourself. You don't see people bitching about how certain nightcore/animu songs sound like shit in every other thread, do you?
You know what? You're right.Blue Dragon wrote:
