Yeah, screw the water adepts. Wind can heal just fine. You know, I totally don't know who the second earth adept is. I guess I get to have at least one surprise.
God, you guys are so gay for Sveta.RL Link wrote:

I honestly find her little walk to attack it pretty amusing, and then she slowly struts backIvalset wrote:

Oh my God, right? I thought something was wrong when I first saw that. I thought maybe her agility was too low or something or maybe she got debuffed, but no, she's just that slow. Besides, little girls shouldn't be fighting monsters in the first place.Ivalset wrote:

Eh, I can probably stomach that. At least Lightning keeps her trap shut.Ivalset wrote:

Seriously. Who needs healing when you can win post-game boss battles much quicker by using debuffs?Ivalset wrote:

Imperil is actually better than Sazh, no lie.awp wrote:
What's that, son?
And that's what I love about Disgaea. All of the main characters in Disgaea are as awesome as Sazh. But thank god for Sazh, he's good enough to make the "FF13 cast" enjoyable, even if he's the only good one.Ivalset wrote:
And Sazh is better than the entire cast, so you know how it goes.
Sazh is this game's Balthier: the gun-wielding badass who makes the game justifiable just due to his existence.awp wrote:

Level 65. I felt very overprepared, but then again, I loved grinding in that game.Ivalset wrote:
Pretty much agreed. What level were you at when you beat it?

Has anybody else played Enslaved? I'm doing a run through it on rental and enjoying it so far. It's a little repetitive, but I like the conversations and interactions between the two leads, and the world the developers created is brilliant. It's post-apocalyptic without ripping off Mad Max.
Also, Resonance of Fate is pretty cool.Seibei4211 wrote:
Just finished getting 100% in Enslaved and the DLC for it. Pretty cool game. Not a lot of complaints about it at all. Gonna start Resonance of Fate tomorrow.

That ice queen bitch had me going when I faced her. She was the first "hard" boss fight in the game only because she fucking one-hit killed Tyrell on her very first kiss thing. Total bitch. I was disappointed with the last boss' song. That doesn't even belong in the same universe as the Doom Dragon theme.Ivalset wrote:
I don't even think djinn blast is bad. Every boss in the game should be using that, at least.
I'm a little disgusted that I could ease through the entire game without planning much of anything. I mean, my final boss strategy was "use pure wish".
Playing other mmos right now, but I have an eight hour car drive back to alabama on sunday, so I'll tackle Dullahan then.
Man, I've been playing for 35 hours or something now. I totally know all of that stuff. The reason Vash is such a high level is cause he is my MG user, but I don't have a second high level cause I try to keep Zephyr and Leanne equal. So for every level they both get, Vash gets twice as much experience. Then when his HG gets too high, I switch him to rookie grenades and those levels just skyrocket, so now he's just ridiculously leveled.Ivalset wrote:
Vashyron owns, he's awesome. I can't say he's better than the others because I have equal love for all of them.
Easy way to level is to switch weapons around. Beware, it'll just make the rest of the game easier, it's not balanced for level-grinding.
Oh, also, you can switch character positions in the menu. Make him third to go, and put your machine gunner in top position. If Vashyron is your machine gunner, then that is pretty much why he is leveling like a beast. Generally two people will be high level; the scratcher and the main source of direct damage. Third person usually ends up just doing utility/knockbacks and set up for tri-attacks.
Oh wow, that is pretty badass. The battle animations are half of what make this game so damn awesome. If they just ran around with boring camera angles, shooting like normal, this game would suck. I haven't been doing any dual-wielding yet cause I don't wanna sacrifice customization to make room for a second gun like that. Maybe once I have way more weight capacity, but that'll take a while.Ivalset wrote:
Well, okay! It sounded there was some confusion as to why so I felt compelled to explain needlessly!
I always had Leanne as my highest level because she was my machine gunner and grenadier. Her dual sub machine gun skill activation animation when running past an enemy is the greatest. She like does a flip in the air while shooting, lands on her knees and turns around, all while still shooting. It looks like that one move from Bayonetta, except more badass somehow.
This is it. Also at 2:36.
Gauge breaking is extremely useful since it stuns enemies and forces them to give up more bezels. Additionally, it's easier to juggle enemies while dual-wielding since you're putting out up to double the bullets.Seibei4211 wrote:
Yeah, that's the thing that's keeping me from dual-wielding SMGs. Armor Piercing is so damn useful and you can't do that any other way with an SMG. Why would I need to dual-wield HG though? So far I've only been using them to take off scratch damage with one hit, so I like having a high charge time just so I can hit multiple enemies in one run. There are only special occasions where the HG's skills are even useful right now, too. Unless there's something I don't know...
Yeah, I actually learned why gauge-breaking is halfway decent today. I was fighting Bigfoot in the arena for the first time and I got my SMG user frozen and the bastard was just camping and freezing him a bunch, so I used dual-wielding Leanne to stun him until Zephyr got unfrozen. Then after the fight, I realized Vash had a fucking First Aid Kit the whole damn time. But yeah, so far I don't really need gauge-breaking and stunning that much. My guys are at such a high level right now that I can just scratch bosses with one or two full charges. I'm sure it'll get useful with more ridiculous bosses though.Ivalset wrote:

If you're gauge breaking, more bullets = much higher chance of breaking and a higher chance of multiple breaks. If you're juggling/converting scratch, you can just do a bunch of single charges to hopefully get them off their feet.
I don't think Rolled has the second one. Either that or he just doesn't play it much. It's some random guy on my list that has it for sure though. And Just Cause 2 is fucking awesome. PS3 version's great just for the video recording.awp wrote:
and it's probably Rolled.
I bought Just Cause 2 today because hey it was 20 dollars
and I had a blast with the shitty demo
Most games would be better on PC (assuming, in this case, you can hook a playstation controller to your PC) because of modding. That's why I don't want to buy games like Fallout 3 for PS3. I just need those mods. They extend the life of the game and, in Fallout's case, offer a much more balanced gameplay experience.Pokebis wrote:

Yeah, but dual-wielding has all the best poses. And seeing all those bullets is cool.Ivalset wrote:

Yeah, I figured you probably liked a challenge or something. I like being so overpowered that I can make any enemy my bitch though. I hate that it takes the same amount of XP to level up a grenade. They're so annoying to use.Ivalset wrote:
Just saying it'll probably pull another 20-30 hours out of you!
I really hate being overleveled though, zero challenge.
Need to finish my third playthrough actually. I want to get to the last difficulty eventually, but that might take a while.
