1 star? What the fuck? Is this the full version or something? It's got 100 stanzas... (I don't remember when I last played PS2-1... or wherever it appeared, durr)

Well, I couldn't get a picture of the cd now that it completely broke into pieces (for some reason it suddenly broke, and I had to be careful of splinters while getting out :/), but... wow, just wow. To think I was describing badly to my friends back then... how I treated it as a big-rhythm-game wannabe. And here I am, taking it now as one of the things I love the most. Wow. Just, wow.

The first video game I played is probably Pokemon Silver (on the emulator,game boys and carts are hard to come by)

As for Taiko,I started playing from DS1~my cousin introduced me to it
First song I played was Mario,methinks.I can still remember how
I kept trying to get to muzukashii in no avail,and how happy I were
when I finally passed muzukashii!Conan by that time.

My first Taiko was DS1 too. A lot of people started out from there. First song played was Together.

So BRA's composer is indeed Tatsh...fanon's correct once more.(but then,it's painfully obvious..)
And BRA's notechart is a collab between Tatsh and エトウ?
That explains EVERYTHING about BRA's crazy notechart.

Probably because it's so iconic to donders...You don't see that kind of pattern much in other places,
so when it showed up in Ryougen everyone's like WTF o_O and "What have you done Zeami let's name this pattern after him lol"

Well,I did try gathering hints...*racks brain*

1.Tatsh is well known for great songs with sucky(read:difficult,but doesn't fit in the song) notecharts,and Ryougen's a classic example
2.Ryougen's overall style is similar to Kachoufuusetsu,a song Tatsh composed under his Byakko alias
3.Senpuu is sung by Ayane,a vocalist who often collaborated with Tatsh.(I think platoniX refers to this combo,but I'm not sure)
4.Fuushikaden,the sequel to Kachoufuusetsu,sounds very similar to Ryougen
5.Sorouban's morse code.Not a lot of video game composer's name atarts with "Shi",right..?
6.From the blog entry for Hataraku: あぁたしかに。白虎みたいな曲もあるし。 One of the four gods is Byakko.Explains a lot.
5.Tatsh composed a song for the idolM@STER,something to do with Tenyou?

Decided to use this osu! rendition so you can differentiate it from tabs of the official blog.

3. I've registered http://www.taikotime.tk (1 year) for the blog too instead of that nasty long blogger address... don't freak out if you can't access the site for a bit, DNS has to catch up. This will most likely take a few hours, but may take up to a day or two. Thing is I found a way to sign up to their DomainShare program with one email and register domains for my own use under another, so it's completely free.

The blog will still be hosted by blogger.

All that changes is the access domain, everything else aside from the images and content specifically assigned to the old domain should be unaffected.

If the domain still isn't working by tomorrow morning on my time I'll revert it though. I don't think you should have to wait THAT long for it to work.

Fixed The Dirty of Loudness,and added a "new" difficulty:Zenoshi!Oni

This diff replaces all of the large notes into 全押し (simply by placing another large note of the
opposite hitsound in the same timeslot as the note)
To hit those notes,you have to hit both don and katsu at the same time.

Mekka Pippi-don can hit those successfully,so I guess it's technically possible to hit those notes.

...fuck I'm actually waiting for Mitsubachi wallpapers >_> darn it, seems like it'll be the last batch along with Alien Attack and the general Wii3 wallpaper...

Also, do the green and yellow taikos have official names yet

@Zekira: The green and yellow Dons have official profiles in the Wii3 instruction manual. Yellow is Dondi (ドンディ), Green is Yomogimaru (よもぎまる)

Playing many rhythm games that all use your hand is not healthy.

My Taiko is getting affected due to me starting to play that 9-input game which is still infuriating me with its dynamic scrollspeed... I am actually using my fucking right hand to hit the left side of the drum, what the fuck.

Lol I only play it on the AC.With only 5 buttons cuz I completly suck with 9 buttons
(I tried playing 9-buttons,I failed horribly)Still stuck at lv.11-12 on Normal herp derp.

Pop'n Music is a pretty tough game when it comes to higher diffs,though IIDX still tops.

And no,that's not the craziest bemani game out there.
I give you Keyboardmania,a rhythm game based off PIANO-PLAYING.
With 24 keys.Thank god Tatsh didn't deal with this one.

I'm actually thinking that it should be a gradual process... after mastering 5, then 7, then 9... you get what I mean. First try on 7 button, I barely survived a 14 @_@ god this shit is orz... I am mostly disturbed at how I have to use the shoulder buttons as well. Probably easier on AC since your gonna be using your entire hands, I guess.

I remember seeing a Keyboardmania somewhere around my place, I just forgot where, so I know that 9 keys looks like easy shit to the pros on that, which is to say I haven't really seen much on those yet.

I don't remember how much inputs are between 9 and 24 though. I think I remember seeing one game with 13 inputs but that may just be me dreaming (...I actually sometimes dream that I'm in an arcade filled with every rhythm game I could recall, and some of them just look absurd to be true actually)

Well,jubeat's got 16..double-play!IIDX is 14..I doubt that a rhythm game will have 13 inputs.*shrug*
The arcade near my home recently installed a Keyboardmania 3rd style cabinet,TBH I was pretty miffed
(I was expecting Reflec Beat,not some ye olde BEMANI game)

In AC Pop'n,people can only choose between 5 buttons and 9 buttons OTL
While you can use both hands,the buttons are pretty large so if you play 9-buttons,
sometimes you need to use your elbows or spread your fingers really widely.
I guess I'll be playing 5-buttons for a long time~

BTW,Pop'n Music's diff levels go up to 42 (or is it 41?Hm).Holy crap.

Sorry about Taiko Time, I don't know what happened either.

It should have worked but for some reason it did not.

Probably best to keep the .blogspot subdomain I guess, since they seem to be reluctant about providing a 'full' service without it.

@arken: If I remember correctly, play and clear 2 songs on Futsuu difficulty and above on Arcade Play.

Also, Yuujou Pop is now in Pending. HUZZAH

@arken: just keep playing Muzukashii Arcade modo for the first 3 games, and you should unlock Oni in around 2-5 rounds.

@crystal: some pros I know actually spread their entire forearm (hand to elbow) onto the buttons, and just move their arm 2 dimensionally to adjust. Most that I see though do it the normal way (hands only), and they sweat like hell right after due to all the moving around.

Nope, no story mode. Compensating for that is a CRAPLOAD of things to unlock through the Taiko Counter.

Medal farming is sooo slow x.x done the Black Rose Apostle/Flight of the Bumblebee method (which is faster?) on the ghosthouse minigame for around 20 times and only gained like what, 300 medals?

Ugh 2000 (and eventually 9999) is going to take a HORRID long time. Only have enough for NECOLOGY atm.

Ran out of dojo tasks but I only have daily #3. Golded all so far except the Punishment one, can't get above 290 perfect hits for some reason. My current rank is Taiko Plasma. What are the reqs of the rest of the Tatsujin/Unagi challenges?

90k don counter so far. Currently clearing muzukashii/futsuu/kantan for don count, clears and play count. Already have all Onis cleared so far. As a side note, idk if it's just my game but the go-go time on Beethoven Symphony #7 is screwed up for me on Oni. It starts a beat late...

To be honest I like the lack of a story in this game, it throws you right in the action which the series should always have been like. Some games just make unnecessarily weird plotholes (looking at you DS3 rpg). I admit boss fights were fun, and Wii2 had the best of the bunch.

Keep it coming I guess...

@Propeller: Play Flight of the Bumblebee on Muzukashii for the Ghost House. The first note is the Death note, lose that and you're left with one candle, then miss the first note. Chances are the CPUs won't miss the first note and all three of them will come first. 22 medals! Also, yep, Go-Go Time bug exists in this game for certain songs.

OK so I haven't been on lately... I'm actually on a roadtrp rightnow (typing from this really, really small aPad, which is hinderng my typing) so I havnent been able to read suff yet. While I tryand see if I get otivated to do Lalala Happinessand Popcorn Parade, I'm gonna comment n sometthings first

5. Won't be back until maybe around new year. If anyone is looking for me (n osu in general), say that I won't be back till new year

7. UI will probably map some PNMstuff when I get back, so don't bother me, lol. Ill get back to Taiko when I'm finally fully frustrated.

But...Pop'n has a batshit amount of songs...(Sengoku Retsuden has double the amount of
songs in Taiko 14,and plenty are BEMANI originals)

orzzz Taiko Time is owned by me. I may try to do an FAQ for the RPG mode of Taiko DS3 if there are enough requests, but if you want to go to the top right part of the map, wear the grey hair given to you by the lady after beating the Tenyou no Mai boss, then talk to the miner blocking your way to the top part. It's a very, very common part for people to get stuck in.

Wow... I got 1.28m on Taiko Ranbu oni and 1m on muzukashii. Kurouto score sure is crazy o.o

Are there any letters for amount of gold crowns you get? There's 100 and 200 golds in the last Wii game, but this one lacks regular crowns, only playcount. Do you get anything for clearing all songs on all difficulties?

Only songs I'm missing left are Doom Noiz and Joubutsu 2000. Damn playcount x.x

(Is it just me, or is Black Rose Apostle CREEPILY similar to Ryougen?)

Yes. The crown counter is for unlocking Taiko sounds, modifiers and of course, Oni.
