Now, I would prove this, but I can assure you that it would make no difference, as there is no swaying you or the other no-name BN who bubbled this to consider that this incredibly poor attempt at mapping this song is anything but perfectly acceptable in your eyes. And frankly, it doesn't matter that the map has been working towards rank for a year, because there are people who have only recently gotten maps ranked that had several years of effort put into them, as well as many maps that tried for years and either have been DQ'd over incredibly minor matters until the mapper gave up trying and maps that had to settle for Loved because BNs and QATs refused to let them through qualification (regardless of attempts to rank).
Art may be subjective, but music structure is completely objective. And the music structure here says the art is wrong.

What I DO have, in abundance, is common sense, which is telling me you don't know what mapping (or art) is.
Please learn to actually use your head instead of only filling it with immaterial knowledge and mistaking it for intelligence. Osu is just a game. Hardly. Making a sub 2* diff (as well as a full spread) would be a triviality for pretty much anyone. How much more so, then, for someone of Monstrata's prestige! The song has a lot of potential simplification opportunities, most especially in the beginning and the last half. People have copypasted sections of a song before (https://osu.ppy.sh/b/664095 for example) and they have gotten through just fine. Just know that Monstrata is not the only one doing this stretching/extending/copypasting to get over it. In some cases it's perfectly fine and I would argue it's fine here as well.

I really shouldn't have to personally contact the composers of a song or plaster screenshots of sheet music or the MIDI notation just for people to use their common sense. I'm not even remotely sure how I have extensive experience with music theory and composition (yes, even for this kind of metal), information direct from files containing the exact structure of a songs beat and rhythm (or even sheet music), and have no problem asking the actual musicians themselves for confirmation, and STILL people like you think I'm somehow some complete idiot who has no knowledge or experience to back me up.Kisses wrote:

Eon Fox I hope you realise that this is just a video game right? Writing essays on your view on how everything is formed (and thus can appearently only be mapped in that way which is dumb as music is always recieved differently and that'll mean theory can be discussed too!) makes you look like an extreme pest.
