What version of Stepmania does Staiain use?

Going to try out Stepmania for the heck of it.

I don't know what version of stepmania Staian uses, but if you want to start playing it I would suggest Stepmania 5 (that is the latest version of Stepmania) downloadable from the official website . You need to download songs manually from websites like stepmaniaonline, Flash Flash Revolution...There are a lot of good song packs (For example In The Groove 1, 2, 3 packs are very well made packs).

As of September (not sure if he's changed builds), Staiain uses a custom build of StepMania 5.

The build and theme kind of work off each other, so here's the links to both of them.

I think it'd be better for you to download the main StepMania 5 game and just play from there. If you want some more customizable themes or ones that are more user-focused and practical (though the default theme is awesome), look up Simply Love, spawncamping-wallhack, and Consensual. The first two are especially my favorites.

If you're starting off you probably would want to get ITG and/or Mungyodance packs, as they have easier difficulties to work off of.

Yeah, if you are going to improve your stamina. I'm mainly a 4K player and 4K is more on stamina and finger speed.

I think you'll find it especially enjoyable trying to accuracy attack and shoot for as many Marvelous notes as you can. :>

Once you're able to tackle on the streamy stuff, the most classic packs to play would be the Keyboard Mega Pack series, Community Keyboard Mega Pack series, Keyboard Collaboration series, and Puritanical Penis Packs.
