When I saw the menu and the name, I thought ZUN caved in to the fans and their Cirno obsession, but when I read that it was a sequel to a story he wrote involving the three fairies, Sunny Milk, Star Sapphire and Luna Child, I was somewhat relieved. I still think the Cirno popularity was one of the reasons for her inclusion, which saddens me 
. Don't wanna see ZUN cave in to the fans too much.
Oh well, I won't make any judgements until I get my hands on it. No matter who's in it, hopefully it should be a fun little game to play though (I am happy that the three fairies finally have a game appearance though).

Found this recently on Nico, thanks to another DoujinStyle member which I don't remember his username
Installation is simple:
1.) Extract all files of both zips unto your TH12.3 folder
2.) Run th123v.exe
3.) Click first button
4.) Run any th123.exe you will have.
5.) Turn the BGM and Sound Effects down a bit, I guess
6.) Play
Notes:
-This can work with any th123 executable, so you can play English patch while th123v.exe is running
-Cirno, Youmu, and Remilia don't have samples yet.

Sixty pages later, I finally decide to change my touhou fullscreen so it isn't stretched. Playing without fullscreen make me crash into stuff too tiny for me to see.
Except my monitor can't do it and my graphics card magically reverts to the old settings every time I change it.
After an hour of googling, I found a workaround and now I can play touhou in their 4:3 awesomeness. Sweet.

Hi i need some help i used to have windows XP and SWR would run just fine even with my super sucky graphics card; this year i updated to windows 7 and re installed SWR not only that but i updated it to the newest version and applied the English patch, the problem is that it wont run anymore it just keeps saying failed to create d3d device so i reinstalled Directx but not even that is helping. its been about a year and i half since i last played it can someone please help?

uhm, is it talking about a missing .dll? if yes, google the exact called .dll that is needed, than put it in the SWR file, then it should work. XP doesn't need .dll, but Vista and Windows 7 needs it, which actually can be recieved, if you have the installer and installed yourself. I keep trying to go for Gold medals for the spellcards, but end up getting silvers instead, and mostly bronzes by the last stage lol... OVERBOMBING FTW!
At least the increased intensity of the game is balanced out by the 3-stage layout of all the routes. The second stage already pushes the difficulty by simply adding unfreezable bullets.
This is actually fun since it's a new take on the usual Touhou. Also since I'm using gamepad I don't need no Rapid fire button ♥♥♥

The characters look quite.. plump.
Geez I can't even pass the first route on normal. I figured out on how the freeze thing works and yes it is seriously useful especially when there's a ridiculus amount of small bullets coming towards you. Although it won't work on bigger bullets

Also I am wondering, where the hell is my remaining lives? I can't find it D:The first percentage in the upper-right is your life. If it reaches 0%, game over. You hear the extend sound effect everytime it reaches a multiplier of 100%.

Basically you have to do the same thing that makes th125 portable:
1.) Fire up Notepad or any generic text editor.
2.) Copy this:@echo off
md "%CD%*backslash*user"
set APPDATA=%CD%*backslash*user
th128
3.) Save the file as something like 'th128p.bat' or whatever, as long as the extension is .bat inside your th128 folder.
4.) Now everytime you fire up th128, launch the .bat and not the .exe.
5.) This will create a folder named 'user' inside the th128 folder. Your replays and score128.dat will then be saved here instead of the computer's Application Data folder (which is normally a system folder, so computer illiterates may not know how to access it)
6.) So if you want to get your progress from your current th128 files, get the files from the My Computer*windows drive*Documents and Settings*user*Application DataShanghai Aliceth128 and place it inside the newly created userShanghai Aliceth128 folder.

Enjoying myself with the Lionheart game with Sanae and Okuu. Yes I do know what the Fusion command does, its frickin hilarious. Touhou Sky Fight is nice too albeit the clunky controls. Voices for the chars are pretty well done imo.
How good is Touhou Skyfight? If it's good I might download it.
Also I give up on 12.8 for now. It's just hard and painful to finish. And the three fairies including cirno is...big for some reason.

sky fight is good for mindless fun, not mentioning about story mode or the challenge mode. The versus mode is the best part imo.

Man touhou EoSD difficulty hacks seem hard but theres glitches with the levels like on flandre (hacked difficulty) this one vid just makes the difficulty harder but theres another vid showing flandre's spell cards glitching like just shooting randomly on most of her spell cards
