@cHelli, I will take a look over the basic rules and see what I missed, otherwise, I've added more red timing points before the song, provided by Midnaait, which I finally got around to using. Thanks guys!cHelli wrote:
One basic rule:Notes should be put after the first red line in any case (maybe you can find it in wiki )it's an unrankable problem, you should fix it...
I guess you should study the basic rank rules before start mapping, or your map is just unplayable....
anyway, good luck~
You can't realize how hard are they by only watch the diff names.Ranking Criteria wrote:
A difficulty's name must indicate its level of difficulty, with the exception of the hardest level of difficulty in a set. The mapset's hardest difficulty may use an appropriate custom difficulty name, unrelated to a username. Mapsets may also use a complete set of custom difficulty names that clearly indicate their level of difficulty to the player. Marathon maps with a single difficulty may use free naming.
Thank you for your input, I've put the difficulty names in parentheses. I'm not sure if this flies as rankable, but we'll see.Nerova Riuz GX wrote:

For the general things, I was testing an sb and I didn't really like it either, got around to removing it now. As for the diff names, I may need to discuss them with a BN. For now they are the default names, excluding the hardest difficulties.koliron wrote:

I'm not sure about this one, my current BPM sounds fine, but give me an offset and i'll test it.ayygurl wrote:
Yo, me again, maybe the BPM is 229,70. I didn't re-checked for the offset.

CrimsonDarling, it's possible that you have an older version of the beatmap. Try deleting the version you have and re-downloading it from this forum's first post.
You could help out if you let me know what these notes are, you'd even get some kudosu which you could shoot at this map if you wanted.Firemolten wrote:
Really nice someone is working on a nice undertale song. Some of the sliders/circles don't sync in with the strong beats and misses the feeling the song gives out. So keep working on that and i hope this gets released.

Changes made! Thank you for your input!Pew wrote:
from ausu!ctb modding queuePlatter00:52:278 (3,4,1) - You can widden this set to have a better flow and design in general
00:58:004 (2) - Move this a bit to the left so it goes onto the next not easier
00:59:306 (4,5) - This can be moved to the left side to make the jumps harder, since it feels like the difficulty here is a bit too easy for a platter
01:06:334 (2,3,4) - This is quite difficult due to the sudden movement between it i suggest changing the patter to something like http://puu.sh/mq0uc/5f3e0ef14a.jpg So the movement would be more fluid
01:07:635 (1) - This could be a reverse slider rather, so you can put in a hitsound to match with the music
01:14:142 (3) - Could CTRL+G for better flow and distinction between the music
01:18:307 (3) - ^, also because the jump to the next note is a bit too hard
01:26:636 (5) - CTRL+G i think because the anti flow slider here doesn't really suit for this part
01:35:746 (1,2) - The Hyperdash jumps
02:06:980 (8) - Areas like this with hitsounds on the slider ticks isn't recommended since hitsounds are suppose to represent strong beats, i recommending to change the sliders to single notes to fit with this hitsounds, (I asked a BN and its rankable but not recommended) (There's several instances which is from Third kiai,Fourth kiai, and near the end of the map)
02:06:721 (7) - Move this further to the right to increase difficulty, since its too easy
02:08:282 (9,10,1,2,3) - Should arrange this to be much easier, it a bit difficult right now
02:16:741 (2,3,4,5) - Decrease the gap, the spike difficulty around here doesn't fit the music imo
02:25:461 (3) - This slider could have more horizontal movement
02:40:818 (4) - CTRL + G suits better for flow
03:08:018 (7) - Move this to the left

I'm glad that there's so many Undertale maps being made. Good luck getting this one fine tuned and ranked!![]()
Let's give this modding a shot.. Keep in mind that I don't have any ranked maps yet, so don't take what I say as absolute.
Easy:SPOILER00:56:963 (4) - This looks nice, but I'm not sure if it goes with the rhythm of the song well. Agreed, it is now two sliders.
01:01:128 (4) and 01:01:779 (5) - Perhaps these should be changed to a note followed by a slider with a reverse arrow - similarly to 01:03:210 (1) and 01:03:470 (2) ;I nearly missed this when I sight-read it. Kind of done, I forgot what I did with this, but I did change it.
01:54:487 (2) - This could be rounded out a little more. Done
02:40:297 (1) and 02:42:379 (2) - I think these sound better if you made them end a white tick later. I think I did this.
02:51:750 (5) - Perhaps change this to a smaller slider that is one white tick long, and reverses once. Done
02:53:832 (3) - I think this sounds better if the slider ends a half beat earlier. Though, i'm not sure if this would make it harder to read.. Not sure if I did this one. Sounds fine as it looks right now though.
Normal:SPOILER00:36:401 (5) - If this slider ended half a beat earlier I think it would sound better, but that could cause it to be hard to read. I'm not sure what to recommend for this part. Maybe replace 00:36:401 (5) with a shorter slider using a single reverse arrow, and then remove 00:37:182 (6) ? Done
00:40:305 (4) - I think that sliders could be utilized for the rest of this combo to make the rhythm more intuitive to get into. The combo just before it uses a different timing, and here it switches and uses notes rather than sliders, which I think should be used only once you've gotten into the rhythm. If that makes sense(refer to previous comment). Maybe this could stay the same if the rhythm of the previous comment's section was adjusted to be the same as this one. (feel free to message me if this doesn't make sense xD) Got it, made em sliders.
01:23:252 (1) - Since this is only normal difficulty, I think that this spinner should end a bit sooner, giving the player more time to adjust. Done
02:19:474 (2) - I think this sounds better if you made it one beat longer(two in total since there's a reverse arrow). Also, I'm not sure if you're going for a specific shape but it could be made to look smoother/rounder, I think. Just made it a spinner. Also I'm using this easier to read color now.
Hard:SPOILER01:28:198 (2) - Perhaps put this in the 4th spot in the combo, and move 01:28:588 (3) and 01:28:848 (4) up into it's place. this is preference but it'll let the player click on the 'on' beats rather than the 'off' beats, if that makes sense. (I noticed that's what you did here 01:53:185 (2) . I prefer this one.) Sorry, changed the chorus since this modding reply and your modding reply.
02:04:898 (5) - Spacing should be increased here since the timing is delayed, but the note is right next to the previous, giving the impression that it should be played sooner. Ah, done.
02:19:474 (2) - Spacing should be increased here for the same reason as the previous comment. Done.
02:21:556 (7) - I think this sounds better if it was one beat longer. This is now a spinner, but its one beat longer now anyway, thanks.
02:31:968 (1) - The spacing on this stream should be reduced; the slider gives the impression that it'll continue at the same rate as the stream. (use 1x distance snap for it)
02:34:050 (9) - I think that this should keep a consistent distance snap with the rest of the mini-stream
02:36:133 (5) - same as 02:31:968 (1).
02:38:215 (4) - same as 02:34:050 (9).
02:38:996 (7) - same as 02:34:050 (9). Done as best I can.
02:40:297 (1) - I can see what you're trying to do with this combo, it looks nice but I don't think it plays very naturally. That little part might need to be re-done. See if you can find a way to keep a consistent distance snap for that little section. Revamped.
DOING NEXT vvv
zenithlight's Fight:SPOILER00:38:092 (5) - See if you can copy 00:37:832 (4) and paste it in this place. Then, use ctrl+h and ctrl+j to flip it. Then, ctrl+g to switch the starting end of the slider. I think it looks a bit nicer this way.
00:41:867 (1) - Keep this as well as 00:42:127 (1) ,and 00:42:387 (1) part of the same combo.
00:46:812 (1) - increase the depth of the curve of this slider a bit so that it blankets around the next note.
00:47:853 (1) - I feel like the slowdown for this part shouldn't be so drastic. Perhaps a small slowdown but this feels like too much.
01:01:909 (3) - This can be copy/pasted from 01:01:388 (1) . Refer to the first comment.
01:03:470 (8) - It'll look a bit nicer if this blankets around 01:03:991 (1) .
01:04:512 (3) - Slowdown feels a bit too drastic here.
01:28:198 (1) - Spacing should be increased here. It gives the impression that you should hit it on the red tick before it.
01:56:179 (5) - I think that the jump here is unnecessary.
02:09:844 (6) - Increase spacing on this one.
02:21:556 (3) - I think the slider speed should stay the same as 02:19:474 (2) .
03:02:942 (1) - The slowdown here feels unnecessary and threw me off. I think it should use normal slider speed.
01:58:651 (1) - I just wanted to say that this part is really fun!
thank you for your feedback. I'll let Candlestorm know next time I catch him on.Paranoid_Goomba wrote:
