It's goddamn rock/metal, its even in the soundcloud track tags.
Not to mention there are voice overlaps in a few places.

I have noting else to say other than I'm quite dissapointed.

I would say that maybe they didn't see that the wild card stage was removed but it's too late after that change for that to have gone unnoticed. The thread even says POP.

About the voice overlapping too, all rules from registration still apply and this has been answered already. I think it should be assumed that the rules are the same.

Because I follow all the rules, my cover is not soooo great...... That song is fast....... But I guess picking an easy song would not advantage me ^^
Took me 4-5 tracks and over 60 takes to finally get my final result!

I did hear your voice get left behind slightly on some places. But that didn't sound fast at all..

If anyone else is questioning if their song is pop, then try looking up the song first and checking pages with either the song or the album it is from to see if pop/jpop/kpop/any pop is in its genres. As long as pop is in the top 2 or 3 genres it should be okay. If it's a sub genre of a sub genre of a sub genre tho then it prolly isn't the best choice.

If you've ever looked at genre lists for songs or just genre lists in general it is insane sometimes. Like the main genre could be jpop but then it's sub genres might include something like indie alternative electro soft rock.

Lots of menthol rubs and pickled ginger right now. I got over the big part of the sinus infection in only 1 1/2 days but now it's all the gross stuff coming out.

If I try to do any recordings atm it's gonna blow out my vocal cords for like 2 weeks >.>

I'm sorry for the echoes in my entry, but I was in such big room, i couldn't avoid it, and it was really hard to sing it since i couldn't hear everything in the correct time. Anyway, I checked genre, and wiki says "traditional pop" so I'm kinda happy <3

I am living in halls of residence, walls are so thin that I cannot sing in my room, my superiors allow me to record in a room for playing table tennis...not only it is big, but also placed in basement so every sound is bouncing from one wall to another. You may think it is something tricky, now I can see it too, but it only makes my work harder. If I could live in my home, that wouldn't be a problem :/

Want You Gone is a bit easier to sing than Still Alive. I'm thinking on singing it for the next stage, but I'm not sure.... It's just like Yowamushi Montblanc, it sounds like crap without effects

It was quite a busy week for me too. I had to start recording on the last hours and I finally submitted my entry 6 mins before the deadline D: (kyonko don't hit me)
I'm not really happy with it though. but hey I tried. No regrets :)

Anyway, GL for stage 1 everyone!
