My sister used to play the shit out of this
She nearly cleared the 7 extra after like 2-3 weeks of practice

I've been thinking of getting into this, is it worth it?

I beat 6 and 8 on hard, and the rest on normal.

That took me a good 2 years. I regret nothing!

(The prismriver sisters are just too strong, so 7 will stay unbeat.)

Started playing this series yesterday.
Seems its gonna take me just as long to get good at this game as it did to get decent at osu! ;w;
Can't seem to beat 8's normal :L. Stuck on stage 4.

I've cleared all of them on normal, with the exception of 14.3.
I just can't pass Remi. Way too hard, man.


Also, it seems the new game is going to be an expansion of HM, just like Soku was the expansion of SWR.

Love Touhou but plays them casual as ever, I even picked up super marisaland

First series I've played was imperishable night when touhou was popular back then and it is probably my favourite

Unlike the above few posters, I'm a competitive player, especially in the 4 fighting games. I like (and play) 13.5 the most, although I do play 12.3 for a more traditional experience. I run tournaments for the two as well ^.^

I've cleared Touhou 11 extra and beated the game in Lunatic.

I clear Touhou 12.3 hard mode.

I actually discovered touhou because of osu. Both are my most favorite games :)
Anyway i'll list my achievements
Touhou 6: Easy to Hard 1cc and extra clear
Touhou 7: Easy to Hard 1cc, extra and phantasm clear.
Touhou 8: Easy to Norm 1cc and extra clear.
Touhou 9: Easy 1cc and extra clear
Touhou 10: Easy to Norm 1cc, currently trying wako
Touhou 11: Easy to Norm 1cc, currently trying koishi
Touhou 12: Easy to Norm 1cc, currently trying nue
Touhou 13: Easy 1cc, I didnt really like TD as much as the others
Touhou 14: Norm 1cc, didnt try easy, currently trying Raiko

Touhou 15 has announced (Today as in 22/4/15 at ZUN's blog) (And this announcement was like hours ago before this post) named "Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom"
With playable characters, Reimu, Marisa, Sanae and a new playable in the shooting game (Except Fighting and PoFv).. Reisen!

I'm not particularly shocked by the difficulty of most spells and the stage portions themselves. However, the nonspells are... wow. Seriously, wow. No breather room at all.
Here are my absurd number of retries per chapter on my second playthrough of the new mode (no bombs used)... Italics are nonspells, Bold are spells. Rest is stage portions.
Stage 1: 0, 2, 0, 5, 1, 2, 0, 1, 5, 4, 1
Stage 2: 1, 0, 0, 5, 1, 0, 3, 3, 12, 8, 1, 0
Stage 3: 1, 0, 24, 2, 10, 0, 0, 6, 1, 13, 0, 3, 59, 8

Megatopkek at the underlined ones. These freaking lasers.

I think this is a game I will never LNB, along UFO.

So yeah.. Byakuren got a motobike in ULiL, and fan arts are appearing.

And I already finished the game's story mode for like 2.5/4 hours for ULiL

Its a nice game. The graphics really surprised me.

Also, it took me forever to find a download link.

Can anyone explain to me about what The Touhou Project actually is?
All I've heard about it is that apparently it gets super hard and you basically play as a loli who flies around and dodges bullets to the music?!?!@?!
Please someone I need to be informed about this :o

Touhou is basically a shoot em up game. You shoot enemies while dodging their bullets. It's not a rhythm game. You don't need the bgm to properly play it. There's the touhou wiki/wikia if you want to know how touhou works.

Damn for fuck sake, Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom is one of hardest game in this series. I got depressed on Pointdevice mode (normal) when i'm fighting with Clownpiece, THAT MOON, THAT HORIZONTAL LASERS, DAMNIT.

Anyone have any idea how to pass the boss with the eyes in Highly Responsive to Prayers?
Sorry, I'm a noob - just started playing Touhou yesterday for like 15 mins.
Legit the arrows that fly out of the bottom two eyes I can never dodge :cry:

Did a short ride to see how the games looks like.
Honestly the system looks really, really fun. Perma grazing make items stay longer on the screen, which is awesome for the graze-maniac.

If it's the one I'm thinking of you just need to keep in the small triangle space between the stream of arrows.

If you think that boss is hard, try the last boss. I tried for half an hour to kill it, then I realised that you actually needed to complete the game on one set of lives. Nope. Not happening.
