If we pick a song for a stage, Can you shorten the song and if you're allowed to, is there a minimum length required for the judges to judge?
(let's say Song A is 5:32 seconds long) a freakishly long song yeap, Do we sing the whole entire song? if we can minimize the song, How long should it be atleast?

For the stages, please sing the entire song you are choosing.
For registrations it doesnt matter, just make sure your entry is long enough like say around 1:30 like a tv size heh.

I want to join osu!idol but I don't have a microphone or programs for the audio. What should I do? Also is their like a rule for songs like no profanity or something like that? Just want to make sure. Oh and can the duet be someone that's not on Osu?

Use your smart phone or tablet to record thats okie... u can download audacity for mixing your instrumental and your record voice...
I think for the duet u need someone who is also has a account here in osu...

Buy a headphone mic if you can't afford a decent one.
For the programs, you can just use Audacity,
it's free and simple to use.
Don't know about profanity, but I'm guessing you can't cover a really extreme song or something like that.

Although if they don't have an osu! account,
they won't be able to receive the prizes,
but I don't know why you wouldn't be able to sing with someone outside of osu! (Unless this is limited to osu! members only) ?

Since this is osu!idol, in order to join you must be registered on osu!
Only voice preffered in your case. You CAN use the beatbox sounds but they must not interfere with your vocals.iAshy wrote:

Some of the entries do contain the tag #osuidol, just depends if the user added it.

The main problem I run into is that I can't find songs sung by female singers where I can actually reach all the notes, so I might enter singing songs intended for male singers, which will be interesting... we'll see
