is it okay if I record all the songs for all the stages ?
I don't think that i will pass all stages at all but I don't have time to record a lot in the next months but I really want to participate. so i want to record 2 free songs, 1 pop and 1 rock this week so I can at least kinda participate... if i make it far of course. Just for the case and stuff... Would that be okay or do we have to record the stuff in the destinated weeks?

What part of no effects are allowed didn't you understandMy Angel Zeraph wrote:
So when I read the rules saying it could be mixed down I thought it was alright to add reverb to it to make it even out with the song.
I just went through the comments though and saw that reverb wasn't allowed and only found out after I submitted my entry,
would it be okay for me to resubmit my entry without the reverb?

In the rules, it says no dual vocal layers - Would that mean that a complete vocal arrangement would be out of the question?
e.g: Beatboxing for drums, "ooh ahhs" for guitars etc.

You need to have a microphone to be able to record.Roseheart614 wrote:

It's not that I couldn't find an instrumental. It's more just that I made this the other day: https://soundcloud.com/asher-mcmahon/pyt-acapella and I figured it may be good enough to use.LoliFlan wrote:

I'll get rid of the reverb and delay effects.
Only voice preffered in your case. You CAN use the beatbox sounds but they must not interfere with your vocals.iAshy wrote:

Generally, we don't really like our own voice. But if I can give you only one advice, just try to get your air from your chest, not only from your throat. You'll end up singing louder and better.C0medy425 wrote:

The main problem I run into is that I can't find songs sung by female singers where I can actually reach all the notes, so I might enter singing songs intended for male singers, which will be interesting... we'll see
