Little bit iffy on what I just said but i'm mostly positive that's what they said, you can ask ztrot yourself just to be sure

The reason in which ztrot enabled a password on vent was to keep a certain someone out.

There are other ways of keeping someone out that are much more flexible

We also discussed that if people really want to get on the osu! vent then they can ask for a user account

People don't want to have to ask for a user account, it's annoying for both THEM and the admins.

since a lot of people just hop in the vent, don' talk, and leave.

Basicly there is a shit load of server/channel/user options you can set. You can stop people from being able to broadcast out/in , you can silence channel TTS and there is a shit load of options. This is what i meant with there are a lot more flexible ways to handle this situation.

I could help if you want to set up the server from people spamming it etc, so the channel doesn't have to be password/user protected, cause honestly to me, in such a large free community, it is dumb to have it user/password protected like that :/

Banning someone that uses a proxy is retarded because everyone knows you can return easily, this is why there are other WORK AROUNDS for people who use proxys. Also, half of the current admins that i read on the other page should be removed. You should only have admin powers if you are A. a person with authority or B. a person that knows how to navigate in ventrilo i.e knows how to stop people from abusing TTS's, channel spamming, and has some fkn common sense.
