I still can't FC Ryougen on the Wii2 and my 1 Button is already freaked up. Crapcrapcrap

Also, who here actually tried using the Wii TaTaCon? I just want to know about its functionality, and if its actually usable? I want to know before I get one

Next, my DVD Recorder is a jerk and recorded everything I recorded from the Wii in 720x480 resolution, which isn't even 4:3 or 16:9... I need to apply some hax before I can rip the images off.

Also, I was supposed to put some new pseudo-userbars here, but I completely forgot to take a screenshot of Teruru :/

Also, no one's still telling me what to put on the artist metadata for Hikari no Kanata He D: Yes I cannot find it, actually.

Tatacon for wii is a piece of crap, really.
I bought it for 3000yen and I think it doesn't worth that price
I cannot even fc saitama2000 with it. I'd rather use my remote. By the way, classical joypad pro
is better to use because it feels more like DS.

Funny,I -think- I've seen you FC Ryougen on youtube.Or maybe it's because I didn't watch the whole thing.
BTW,there are people who play Ryougen (and possibly Hataraku) on x4 speed.Crazy.

Pseudo-userbars...?I wonder if we should make one for Pippi-don and taikomaniaIIDX.
Or...for the 2000 series/Garyoutensei/Kikyoku series.

I had my D-Pad repaired once. The right button got killed off by me grinding X-DAY 2000.

As for Hikari, the artist is Tanimoto Takayoshi. Also the artist behind many of the other obscure songs in Taiko.

However, there is a huge defect with the classical controller on Wii1: the +pad double-registering problem.

This problem is so apparent that it makes FCing songs with the classical controller impossible.

By classic controller, you mean a GC controller or that specialized Wii controller that looks like a GC Controller? I'm actually having annoying problems with the Wiimote as I'm not used to pressing Don-Katsu using that 1 and 2 Buttons, since my PS2 setup is that Square is Don and Triangle is Katsu, which is Left-Up and not Left-Right...

If you've been following my posts, you'll know that I suspended all of my current mapping activity at the moment to make way for SBing Wii2's Boss Stage 8. So far I'm still ripping the stuff I recorded, and next step is to keep on cutting off screenshots for images and etc. etc.

on the iPhone/iPod touch though)

And for once it's possible to download song packs into the game instead

The don-kat patterns are mostly 'parallel', making it become an epic map.

It's that specialized Wii controller.

Actually, about that registering problem, it only happens on the 1st Wii Taiko, not the 2nd Wii Taiko.

Toccata, Kare Kano Kanon are unlocked by crowns. 99999 gives you the mother load of 2000 songs. Most of the rest of the songs are unlocked through story.

Speaking of Wii1...it's quite a long time since I last played it..unlocked pretty much everything
though ('cept Sudden Death)

...what? What issue with preferred skin? Set it to Taiko, simple as that? What conflict is there or w/e? It's a freaking Taiko song for crying out loud. Hell, I even forced Taiko skin on some of my non-Taiko maps :>

EDIT: Uh, why'd you even bother starting up that thread in the MAT HQ? Set it to the preferred skin if the song/map was fit for that skin, simple as that...

Lol, that guy who hates the skin either has no clue what Taiko no Tatsujin is, or is simply a hater.

But I got something else to vent.

I really, really hate the failcasual players at the arcade. They just waste time, and thanks to Namco's "double drum" system, they can actually PASS certain easy mode songs just by randomly drumrolling. And they even get to play a second song. >:(

If they aren't time-wasters, I don't know what they are. Some of the drums are wrecked because of them.

At least there are still lots of Oni mode people who get 1m+ points on a lot of songs. :D

(Why they made Oni only appear after hitting the right rim 10x, I never know. :| )

Why Oni's hidden is probably to stop new players from going "Oh hey what's this Oni diff lemmie try-FFFFF SO TOUGH",
and end up not playing Taiko anymore.Sorta like that.
It ensures only the SRS!! players get to play Oni.

Personally,I'm OK with them casual players (technically I'm one too) since..well,not everyone are taiko pros.
Everybody starts off as beginners,amirite?
Still,I lulz away mentally when I see people drum randomly and whenever they leave early,I get to play for free XD

But I agree that drum-wreaking is a big no-no.C'mon,there's no need to whack on the drums..

Yeah, I can see why Namco did that. Still, it's common sense for a person to see that Oni probably means something TOUGH...

And what I meant by "casual" is people who just waste their time on easy and randomly beat on the drums and crap.

I'm a "casual" in the form that I play Oni mode, but I only touch ones of average difficulty (6-9 stars). CS, I assume you are one as well?

I fail a lot of 10-stars... mostly because I can't handle the drum so well, but also because the drum is wrecked (to the point where I can't even enter the code for Ura... >:( ).

Also, a lot of people don't seem to get what I'm doing when I enter the Ura code. They think I'm a newbie, lol.

Namco should really set up the AC song selection like they did with the Wii song selection. That way, it's easier to know all the difficulties of a song, you can freely choose modifiers (2x, doron, etc), and eliminates the need for the Ura code. (It's about time they made a revamp to the AC versions anyway! :) )

God darn it, makes me wanna get back to that Taiko arcade I saw when I was on vacation :( Hey come on I amazed my friend by doing that last Rotter stream :> though I don't know how to unlock Ura so I asked him to do it, and now I still don't know haha

I'm also gonna order WiiCon tomorrow, hopefully everything goes well and it functions well, like for some people that I've read from other forums where they actually can't pass Oni songs without the con

Make sure it's a original Namco-made Wii Tatacon. Everything else just doesn't work.

You should see the condition of the Taiko 8 and 10 in Penang. The left drum in 8 is half wrecked. The left kat and right don don't work, so I'm forced to play with my body tilted to the left, to hit the left don and right kat. I can still FC Rare Hero sometimes though :P

@Propeller_Cap: I guess I'm more of a Muzukashii person...and thank goodness the drum condition
of the arcade I go to is pretty good.Notes don't get registered sometimes,but it happens quite rarely.
(But the one I go before I'm allowed to enter arcades legally?The drums there sucked...naturally,since the arcade's
open to little kids)

And if entering the Ura code looks odd to others,then what about the code for Kidaruma?

Hitting the drum rims alternatively(ie.left side,right side,left side...etc)
until the "12" or "13" in the logo flashes,duh.
If you wanna unlock Kidaruma,do the rim-hitting thing around 200 times.

That's why I say that the arcade song selection should follow the Wii selection. >:(

And I dunno if this is against the rules or what, but is it possible to emulate the arcade versions? If so, where and how?

I'm saying this because I want to play AC without having to use Tatacon with those HEAVY LIKE HELL drumsticks. We can play CS with the Tatacon, so why not AC with keyboard or joystick? :P

I think there are arcade emulators out there,but IDK if it
works for AC Taiko.Heck,I don't even know whether there
are ROMs for AC taiko..

BTW..it always helps to have your own pair of drumsticks,so you don't
have to worry about using drumsticks you're not used to.

Do the Wii drumsticks work good enough with the arcade drums?

I want them light, but not so light to the point it doesn't register hard enough.

I'm saying this because I want to play AC without having to use Tatacon with those HEAVY LIKE HELL drumsticks. We can play CS with the Tatacon, so why not AC with keyboard or joystick? :P
Make your own drum sticks. And make them lighter~

After about two weeks of blisters you'll start to improve and do fine.

Somebody tested them,apparently.It's possible to play with them,but you gotta hit harder
with those than with normal drumsticks.

Drumsticks for asian drums work pretty well with me,but some prefer to use drumsticks
for western drums and Drummania.
Those are much lighter than your typical taiko bachi,but at the same time they easily bounce off the
taiko face...

EDIT:New map!!It's FIRE FIRE,a song by StripE (a-la Kors K)
I wanted to have the whole song on Kiai mode (just like Taiko Ranbu "Fire scroll")
but eh couldn't figure out how to do so properly.
Either way,I ended up having Kiai on for most of the song lol

I'll do the BG later,I promise!

Sorry aquabluu I just came back to my home and I'm going to Shanghai for another 7 days. Here's Etude.

And there's another encouraging side-street news from a reliable source that 14 will came out this September. The AC firmware pack will start order at the end of June.

And asia13 are no longer coming. Maybe there will be an asia14?

Oh god, now there'll be a flood of new Namco Originals again ♥♥♥

But IMO they should put Hikari no Kanata He there, along with Ura for the long version and replace all the bombs with Katsus or something, and the clash-notes with balloon notes (since I'm pretty sure Hikari [long] is more than 900 combo already)

Hope to hear the new 2000 ASAP too, if ever there is one...

Yay Taiko 14! :D

And yes agreed, Hikari should definitely be in the next. Why wasn't it in 13?

Also, Bachi Osensei should be revived, along with Hibike and Haikei. Possibly the CS Senpuu as well. Long versions FTW!

It's also about time they revamp the song selection... once again I say, they should make it exactly like the Wii song selection.

As for Hikari, they should make a COMPLETE revamp of the song (and better make it contain insane strings to make it "god level"! :) ). As of now it's too similar to regular.

I doubt Hibeke will be in AC14,since it got revived pretty recently (12 and 12.5)
But if it appears in CS taiko (like DS3) then YES YES OH GOD YES.
A new 2000 song would be cool too,and perhaps more of SORA,Total Eclipse or
Tokoyami no Mori.

And of course...Senpuu no Mai full version.DO IT TATSH ZEAMI.

For the lulz,why not add GOLD RUSH?

Asian12 has been released for a year with a price around 7500 USD in China mainland. And, of course, it sells not very well.
The activitiy is oprate in Zhongshan, China. The main idea for this activitiy is to encourage other people to try Taiko games. Everyone who came to the Zhongshan-Shiyu Zhongshan Gamecenter would have a free play, but limited to Kantan and Futsuu.

The location test has been completed in September, 2009. Shanghai Liehuo and Beijing SEGA-huahan are the two test place.

About the 11/12 Asia thing, it's actually pretty good here. There's 3 places that I know where there are these machines, along with some Japanese versions.

But god dammit, no 13 in Guangzhou. :(

11 Asia is obviously inferior to 11, due to its lack of Folk/Variety. Same with 12 Asia, but it has Naked Glow, Obsession Latino, and Angel Dream (Ura), something that 12 doesn't have. But 12+ has these included along with many other new songs, not to mention Wii2 included Obsession Latino, so 12 Asia is once again deemed obsolete.

(Psst... fun fact with Stage.0 ac11 in 11 Asia. It is missing 2 notes from the original version, and both are right before balloon notes! Proves how unreliable the Asia mappers are. ;) )

I really wish there is an "Asian song" special, which will include ALL the Chinese folk/pop songs included in 11 and 12. Of course, there will be a few Namco Originals and Game Musics here, just like PS2's Anime Special.

And Taiko 14 better include OL, the new download song from PSP2, along with the Asia-exclusive anime songs.

Hopefully a sequel to Mint Tears too. Also, where's the 3rd and 4th songs of the "PaPaPa Love" series? (Unless Metal Police is 3rd.)

DON'T CUT ura is very easy ^^ On the regular, i have over 50 whites XDD like Yozakura Shanikusai Ura: I can fc it with no problems, regular notes: Omfg i can't FC it even yet <.<

Because there are some songs, which i can't fc it after all atm (a 9 Star Oni is included o_o from YMCK <.<, the rest, 10x), I just started to get better accuarcy on already fc'ed songs. But only on Oni, other diff. are boring XD already have 3 songs over 1m, 2 songs with 990000 points ... yeah ... i don't know all :P

OL is directing to Obsession Latino. An 765 original song which first released in Asian 12.

And Obama Star Overmaster should be 2nd series of Idolm@ster, but no new dancer in PSP2.

Also, @crystalsuicune, did you give me a bit of misinformation or something? Kodama = the maiden in Wii 1. I still cannot read the name of Hakase's assistant in Wii 2, but it's definitely not Kodama. Now unless I'm missing something and she chose to descend from heaven and suddenly look like Hana-chan (lol), I'm pretty sure that's not Kodama.

@Zekira: I checked the instructions booklet for Wii2,
Hakase's assistant IS named Kodama.And she does look
quite similar to the maiden from Wii1....
So there is a chance that they are the same person,
or they just happen to look alike.

Mint tears, Zeihen, Metal Police, Hataraku,, Yumeiro Coaster (actually, that wasn't half as nice)....Namco's got a lot to cover. Kimi no Akari would be epic.

Song list updated, except Monkey Magic. If Zekira or lepido can't get a hold of GODAIGO's version of the song I'll put it up.
