Uh... nvm i just upload it and the osu! not read/detect skin "version: latest" so it's a bit problem with the skin but it's okay

Twice now I've attempted to use your service, but both times the video came out like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3Mjhlp8NjQ
I made sure I was using the right files, but to no avail. I don't really know what the issue is. In the live showing box, I saw the map and I believe it was my skin, though, no actual replay. I don't really know what is going on. In the first second or two of the video, in the lower left, it says the map is missing.

most of my replays give me the same problem , it gets stuck in the menu.
After i upload a replay it loads successfully and i can see the map on the preview , then osu restart and it just say "you don't have the beatmap this replay was made for.

I ran into this problem today too.

Upload obscure things? There's no real way to get past the copyright besides DT/NC, and even then it isn't always enough.

I'm having the problem where it says that I don't have the beatmap and the video is just the main menu... Earlier I uploaded a 6 minute beatmap and it worked perfectly on the first try, but now I can't upload a 2 minute beatmap

that means that the map is quite new, so osu!record doesnt already have it. or maybe the beatmap repository of osu!record is just outdated. a lot.

Can you please add an option to press skip at the beginning? Some songs get rejected because the intro is longer than 5 seconds.

Osu!record isn't working properly, after the processing on youtube it shows only the main menu until the end. Someone having the same problem? :?

Because then everyone would be using it all the time. One person could queue up 20 of their own replays. Currently, they can still do 20 of their own songs, but if they're too slow they can't hog the system

It was working before for me, but now it keeps returning a video of just the menu when I try to make a video of this beatmap: https://osu.ppy.sh/b/516322?m=0#

I've tried three or four times now.

Hey darkinmortal, any chances to add a checkbox with the option "no background/video" ?
Also another checkbox for "use skin combo colours"?

Its not that I don't like videos or storyboards but..... some beatmaps are better to watch with 100% dark background and some people like to watch the skill rather than video/storyboard. Also I find likeable my own combo colour and not relying on map's one when I upload a video.

Well just my little feedback on it. I upload videos oftenly and its very cool you run this for us, but I find sometimes I rather would like to have dark bg.

wasn't it limited to 4 replay per users? just add a queue and limit number of replay per user in it..

That's really bad idea imho, I oftenly press the play button on the main page while waiting my turn and most of the time "user deleted this video", I mean people record stuff for their sake and later just delete it, wasting bandwith and resources, at least if you really want to have your replay on YT you'll wait your turn, imagine with a Queue how much bandwith and time wasted

no you don't. if it only worked when you had osu! open, that's a pure coincidence. your computer isn't in any, sorry, ANY way related to the osu!record website itself for recording the video.

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else but when mine finished recording, it just recorded the osu! menu screen with the osu! background music. No gameplay was recorded at all. Any help?

i'm having the same problem.
I'm not sure but the last time I used this, I didn't upload any skin and they used the default skin and it didn't have any problem.
This time I uploaded an OSK skin and this problem happened.

Tried it with my replay and skin too. Works great, currently the video is processed by YouTube.



Everything about this service is awesome! But can you add a background dim option?

I uploaded a replay with a half-time mode played and my replay is a half long duration (should be twice longer because song is slowed down) so not all the play is recorded and it suddenly ending in the middle of the song =\ :(

I wanted to give this a try seeing some of the osu!mania results on YouTube, but it did not work for me. My video output only showed the title screen and that's it, unfortunately. It looks like an absolutely fantastic tool, but it looks like I won't be able to make use of it myself.

This would be absolutely perfect, if the hit sounds was disabled >.<

Some songs I play on Osu Mania, to keep the rhythm between long breaks, I press the keys to the rhythm so I don't lose it, and its annoying hearing 'tsh tsh tsh' over the top of the music track D:

Any possibility of disabling this? >.<

If hit sounds didn't exist on the upload, I would use this soooooo much!

Well, in my actual Game settings I have sound effects and hit notes turned off completely, but when uploading my replay using this site, it added hit sounds :/

Could you please tell me how I could disable this, either on the site that's linked in this thread or some other way >.<

The server hoster must change the setting on the server side osu! client, and changing it locally on your computer will do nothing.

This program is fantastic, makes uploading replays so much easier! Big thanks to the creator.

I'm sure there's countless people who have asked this but I couldn't find how to do it - how do I get my skin into osu!record? I know you have to upload a .osk file but I have no idea how to do that as I can't find one anywhere. I'm using Doomsday v4.0 if that is of any relevance. Thanks :D

Fire up osu!, go to options, search for skin settings, and find an option to export the skin as osk file.

Then you can find the osk file in the Exports folder in your osu! directory.

Sorry for the double post, but how long do you normally have to wait for newly ranked maps to be available on osu!record? I tried uploading a play of TwoThirds & Feint ft Veela - Epiphany, which was ranked on the 28th Feb, but the program didn't recognise it (probably because it was too recent). How often is the program updated usually? Thanks.

  2. Is there a way to disable the effects like storyboard, combo bursts etc.? I just want to have full dimmed background without this stuff

What's the licensing for this like, currently? It's definitely a marvelous concept, if the licensing for this is pretty shut-out I may have to redevelop for personal use haha but kudos on the project.

The osu record did not have the best map so it just recorded the home screen for the duration

Hum...there's a bug. When I try to record, OsuRecord says: '' osu! has stuck on 'checking for new files' so recording has been aborted to save resources.''.

I'm not sure if it must be RANKED or not to work.

Would been a really good idea if some day you add a little chat service for the osu!recorder website as you can, mostly for these people that are new can read if it's working or not. For an example I know when it will work or not, by only seing if the last submited video has sucuessed or not, bui seems that most people tries on this situation in which the last submit failed and of course they gain another failure video that only shows the osu's mainscreen in the whole video.

Today osu ! record does not work as it should. What happened? Each of my replays ends with the image of the main menu osu ! I even tried to process these maps that are already on YouTube , the result of the same

I am having same issues as you guys, I found that using my own skin (I always upload this one, its an .osk file that I use for long time only for osu!record) ends with video only showing the score screen. I tried without using skin and it worked. I guess will have to work with that till it goes back to normal.

I still can't get it to work with or without a skin unfortunately, it always just gives me a video of the menu screen. It's a great service but just a bit buggy - any chance of a fix, Mr Darkimmortal? :)

EDIT: Just as I say that I'm able to upload another song with a skin. The song I'm trying to upload that wont work, DJ THT - Head Over Heals (Rave), has definitely been uploaded by people using the program before so I'm not entirely sure why it won't work.

I had one issue repeatedly, you never had the beatmaps I had even after the replay and my skin was uploaded, so when the video was published it was literally just the main menu screen. The map is ranked T_T my pc cannot record nuuuuu pls fix

One problem, if you got "Someone's already using the system, wait your turn" message, no chances that you're going to be next
osu!record just doesn't notices you
so, i can freely upload my replay without skin
but when i'm trying to upload it with skin, other replay is being recorded this time, and when osu!record is free, nothing happens ;-;

And the only thing that recorded is osu logo.
Can anyone help me with this error?

I have recently found that the recording will ignore all the settings users made such as disable combo burst. Besides the font setting, it disable the colouring settings in "skin.ini"also, btw I don't think I am the only one who have found the bug ;w;

I've recently made a video which is my first one :D (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu0N1WiRrc0) using osu!record and noticed that it ignored all settings. I thought it was supposed to be like that, but after I read your comment clearly that is not the case.

I personally don't mind if it's gonna be like this, but having a toggle or just in general the thingy remembering settings would be awesome ;)

Ok it used to ignore all settings which was not really a big deal, but now it ignores the skin as well??

The map I played had it's own skin, but I of course use my own which I also input into osu!record like always, but it disregarded that as well and every time I upload that map replay it just uses the crappy map skin :cry: .

I double checked my skin in-game , outside of game and the .zip of the skin as well.

It looks fine, but not when it's in youtube... How to fix it?

Playing on windowed mod. But like before 2months it was okay, i could upload but sometimes this bug showed up too.
