2P maps is for people who enjoy playing 2 drums with only 1 player. That's what they expect. Double Play.

And I forgot Tomare! is also a ura DP maps.

Hataraku is easier to pass, but it's not the key.

Because DP is a kind of ura, you need to activate it as ura.
And Natsu Matsuri, Cherry or other songs are not actrually DP maps. They just change the sequence of notes. The total notes and scores are the same.

Personally, my weak points are streams with random patterns added onto them (Ryougen, Kita, Etude's Ura). And also for some reason I just can't seem to perform dkkdkkdk perfectly (Hikari no Kanata he, Akuugan Yuuei ac 12.5) or dddkkkdddkkk (Kurenai, Sengoku's Master).

HS I can deal with (Kumasan's Ura, Angel's Ura), same with high BPM (Punishment, Hayasaitama2000).

And I play Owata the most now. That is, until the new DS ver is released.

And to play the different maps of Taiko Ranbu, you need to reach the MAXIMUM rank for the dojo. It's time to change your DS clock!

I can't deal with anything above BPM 200 on the arcade. I get tired really easily if I don't get a lot of practice on those. One exception is Punishment, I find it really, really fun

I'm fine with dkkdkkd and other similar patterns. My weak spot is dk kd dk dk kd, 2 by 2 beats, on high BPM. I can't handle those (i.e.Rotter)

I'm all good with HS if I have a few goes at memorizing beats. I know every beat in Rotter's HS by heart but my slow fingers say no to the fast BPM

My weakness is High BPM and strength.

BPM higher than 200 makes my watching not very clear. Like Punishment, I still don't know how to deal with.
And then some song needs strength enough to pass. Like EkiBEN2000, X-DAY 2000 or other songs. I feel very tired when play these songs. Especially EkiBEN2000, the first 700 notes are not very hard, but the last boost are so tired for me.

X-DAY, Yawaraka Ura and Rotter are the most tiring ones. For some reason I don't get flustered playing Punishment. I love it

Yawaraka Ura is to train you how to how to play TAIKO with less strength. Once you understand it, you don't need so much strength. That's what Kurenai does when you're in 8-9 stars.

And yeah, X-DAY and Rotter can do that too - but you should had high strength enough.

As you notice I haven't been here for the past 3 days. Reading from the other parts earlier...

1.) I don't have any glaring weaknesses except KITA SAITAMA2000, GOD DAMN IT. IN THE PAST 3 DAYS THAT I WAS GONE I WAS TRYING TO FC THIS ON THE PSP. AND IT JUST.DOES.NOT.WORK.OUT. I keep getting at least 10 misses (yeah fuck this) as after the dkkdkkdddkddd part, I lose the beat almost immediately and I can't hit anything on purpose anymore. Seriously. Any other song I could at least FC (even Hataraku, but using the authentic Taiko merciful hits) after at least half-a-day's practice, but Kita... I've been trying to do for over half a year already. shitthefuckimnotplayingthisanymore.

It's the final unlockable of Taiko no Tatsujin 13, so yeah, Kimi no Akari is only for arcade. For now, maybe I wouldn't bet on it making it to DS3 though. I'd scream if it did XD

Story Mode of DS3 is similar to a simple RPG, you have numbered HP bars, enemy encounters and leveling up. And yes, that's Totoro for DS3. Ponyo too. Love that one. If Hataraku makes it and given that nothing's changed, the game is going to want you to clear an Oni 10 star for the highest rank. Which means epic is just around the corner.

Also, keep in mind on Wii (not Wii2) the Classic Controller has a tendency to double-register Don on the + pad, making songs like X-DAY2000 very very difficult.

US Wiis definitely CANNOT play JP games by normal means, since it's going to ask for a System Update.

DO NOT UPDATE YOUR WII FIRMWARE WITH FIRMWARE FROM A DIFFERENT REGION. Once you do that, it's ruined for good.

I worked around it using the Homebrew Channel. I don't know how you can install it using a Wii of a newer firmware, so just google it and find the official site for the instructions.

Once you get it installed, look for 'Neogamma backup loader'(either .dol file or .wad file, if you get the .wad file you'll need to use another application known as the WAD Manager to install it directly onto your Home menu) and just follow what the website tells you to do and you'll should be fine.

It says 'backup loader' but it also plays genuine games, bypassing the region lock and bypassing any and all unwelcome system updates.

Wii/Wii2 have four save files(Miis), though all the unlockables are controlled as one- if you unlock something using a profile it's unlocked for everyone else. All the songs are unlocked as you play through the game- the Dojo is there for getting new sounds/costumes. You play, you fill up a tamashii bar on Don-chan(Wii1) or Arumi-chan(Wii2). Once they level up, you get something new- costumes(Wii2), sounds, songs, boss battles(Wii2). Finish Wii1's story and you get to play as all the forms of Don you get throughout the game. So there's so Story Mode per se, it's all integrated into the regular play mode.

New songs are also unlocked by racking up the Hit Counter(like in DS2), except in Wii, the rewards for filling it up to 99999 are much, much richer. All 10 2000 songs in Wii1 are unlocked simultaneously when you reach 99999, and all 9 Ura difficulties are unlocked simultaneously in Wii2 when you reach 99999.

Find the files by googling them. They're homebrew stuff, so I can't link them here. 'Homebrew Channel Wii', 'WAD Manager' and 'NeoGamma Backup Loader'.

You install NeoGamma as a channel onto the Wii using the WAD Manager. The Homebrew Channel will use its own method, but since you just got your Wii(with system firmware well above 3.2U), it's highly likely the Twilight Hack method doesn't work nomore. Just check the Homebrew Channel's website for installation directions.

This is because the FedEx people in your country aren't jerks. Mine are. So I prefer EMS over it.

UPS is cheaper, and I don't mind waiting a bit longer for a sensible price.

Things I delivered from UPS never got to me at all.
