No matter what I'll do I'm still using HS.

It just is in the matter of not blurting it out to anyone.

It's a lot safer if you restrict HS to Taiko-only diffs. I have no intention of changing anything.

@aqua: I probably can. I'll just use an audio->audio jack and plug it to my PSP->Computer's Mic Port

EDIT: My hardware's pretty bad. Maybe I can find a way to record it on my DVD Recorder instead or something, but right now I can't rip it without it having too much noise

It's getting dead here... I guess I shall put out something to discuss, lol.

So, the 3rd set of unlockables in Taiko 13 are not yet announced. I'm going to take a wild guess on what the songs might be.

1. Mint Tears. This is pretty much confirmed, so no need to bring up any other possibilities.

That brings up 2 more slots - one for a new song, and one for an Ura map.

For the new song, here are the possibilities:
- Obsession Latino (Included in Taiko 12A but not in 12, 12+ or 13.)
- Hikari no Kanata e (This is the only boss song that is not yet in an arcade version, AND does not really relate to the story.)
- Probably some whole new song that we haven't heard of...

For the Ura map, here are the possibilities:
- Hikari no Kanata e (The boss version is longer, so it's possible this will be unlocked along with the short ver.)
- Kaze no Fantasy (Angel Dream had an Ura, so this should receive one sometime.)
- The Carnivorous Carnival (Same reason as Kaze.)
- Sora II (Based on rumors)
- Probably a song in the classic or J-pop section seeing as they don't have one yet.
- Something else...?

So, what do you guys think are possibilities?

And as a side note: LOL score on Haikei, Gakkou ni te... long ver. With over 100 "ok" hits I'm still able to get 1.07m points. :o

The following TaikOsu's will be left to rot in the graveyard while HS is not supported:

-Kita Saitama20000
-Hataraku2000

Angel Dream is still going through because the custom HS is limited to the Taiko difficulty only, and hopefully I can sneak that in.

Hakuuchou no Mizuumi is also worrying since I'm forced to use 0.75 and 3. I actually wanted to make the 3 into 2 instead since it's practically looking the same,

EDIT: Can someone clarify for me the notechart of Wonder Momo-i, please? I mean, there's a level change on the first note? How is that even possible? In PSP2, I always get something like Level 0 -> Level 3 on the first level change. I have no idea how to activate the level change at the first note. lepido's authentic map also reflects this as all of the Onis follow the first level 0 notes before the next level change.

Really? I thought Mint Tears was another song in the "PaPaPa Love" series, since they have similar traits (English title, vocals, annoying to pop balloons). :?

PaPaPa Love series are actually all songs from Muscle March (Wiiware). mint tears doesn't come from that game.

@Zekira: Can't you use BPM changes instead of custom HS?

We were disapproved at that too.

I'll probably just... try and see if I can get away with custom HS. Seriously. I kinda don't care anymore. The reason why were shouted at in the first place was because some guy mentioned it in the open.

If I'm gonna use it I'm gonna use it discreetly. Problem is, this issue was addressed in the MAT Forums, so MATs will probably shout at anyone who's using this technique too. It's annoying.

I for one will be one of the MATs that will permit the use of it though.

It's possible... I could swear it's possible, but just really difficult given the existence of wrong-side hits. I mean, I'm already beginning to see which hand to use to switch to Katsu and back to Don, and I can even FC the first stream of the last kiai, but not too often, but proves that it is indeed still readable.

It may take me another half year to FC though. This may take a while.

Rotter Ura....EASIEST OUT OF THE FOUR?!

I can clear KitaSaitama and Ryougen no Mai on arcade just fine, but I failed on this song. The notes are readable, but it's too god damn fast for me to hit. I know the beats on HS2 and 4 by heart, but my hands just don't move fast enough for those...

I don't play arcade so yeah... but let me dissect the other 3 songs and compare it with Rotter Ura.

Kita: Faster BPM, some bunch of random notes all slapped together (go-go time), least number of notes out of the 4
Ryougen: Faster BPM, again, some bunch of random notes all slapped together (go-go time), and 24th dkdkdkdkdkdk
Hataraku: Slower BPM, 32nd notes makes up for the "easy" parts (non go-go time), especially the last string which is kinda random too

Rotter Ura's notes are readable, of course, but the notes just aren't as random as the other 3 songs. Because of this, I'm able to consistently get 100+ combos (beginning part and 1st go-go time especially). Only real difficult part is the HS2 and 4 parts, but even then it's just "basic" rhythms slapped onto a string (dddk, dkkk, dkdk, etc...).

It also shares the BPM of Saitama (200) so I'm kinda able to get the speed down.

That's why I do the best on Rotter Ura. And still, up to this day I still sometimes fail Kita on PSP. Damn buttons... >.>

Kita's notes are fine. Most of the notes aren't crazy dk kd dk kd or arranged in continuous long streams like in Rotter. The go-go time would've been much, much easier if, say, the BPM was reduced by 20 (i.e. Kita 200). I clear it on both console and arcade :D

Ryougen: Not much faster than Rotter (difference of 4 BPM), aside from the parts you mentioned, the rest of the song is pretty easy, and you can pass just based on those (and randomly going nuts on Go-go time :P)

Hataraku: Haven't tried that in a real arcade yet, so I can't say much. osu!taiko's accuracy and pass mark is different from the real thing.

In other news, I frankly don't care about people pricking me about the HS anymore. I mean, a lot of maps got away with it, so why not ours too? Even if now the trick has been exposed to the authorities, there's nothing preventing us from using them right? And as long as you keep quiet to the people you're supposed to keep quiet to, that's going to go through.

Just tried 366 Days on owata... that DEFINITELY fits into the "gimmick song" category. (For a 7-star too!)

I couldn't fill up the bar and got over 170 "ok" hits on first try... :(

Perhaps that should be one of the next songs on taiko trials 3?

And it's kinda getting boring here without any more ranked authentic maps.

I bet Hataraku might make an appearance(after all,
it's the only 2000 song not in a CS game yet,sides
KiSai200) or even better,a new 2000 song.
There's also a chance of seeing a new "_____ no Mai" song..Tats-er,Zeami's
been making songs for recent taiko releases,after all.

If any of the four gods make it into taiko DS3...DS-repairing
services are gonna be busy.

Actually, I'd like to see Family Dondon make it into DS3.

Also, aqua, DS2 also only had 50 songs...

You have to remember that the DS has a lot lesser capicity than any other console barring GBA/C...

Also, with the word 'youkai' in the title, I'm expecting some NicoVideo laughings after this game has been released... I'm serious the theme song sounds like a Touhou PV would fit in or something.

so it's normal for DS3 to have one.

Yay, a 3rd DS Taiko. :D

I would like to see Punishment, Mori no Kumasan Ura, Yawaraka Sensha Ura and Tank! Ura make it in. And possibly Hataraku2000 but that might destroy my buttons, lol.

And there needs to be a NEW classical song remix. Namco just keeps rehashing the same ones over and over.

Maybe they did consider at one point that hard songs like these can't be FCed on DS, that's why Taiko DS1 was easy. Then people started FCing Tenjiku, and DS 2 started to have more hard songs.

Wait...are Namco trying to put more Originals in DS3? The Anime section has been cut from 11 songs to 8, and J-POP from 8 down to 5, Children/Folk could be 0 this time, and Classic only has 3 (probably 1 or two secret). Is Game Music and Original going to have a wider selection?

There are already 4 songs on Variety, and none of them are Yawaraka Sensha, Caramelldansen or Before After Medley. Heck, we don't even know if the Ura system's going to be on DS or not.

July 1, Rokodo. It could be dumped 1 or 2 days earlier, so I'll keep a watch out. Taiko DS's multiplayer has never worked on ROMs though for some reason >_>
