Been fiddling around with Gangplank builds all season.
I'll definitly consider all this, thanks! =DDaddyCoolVipper wrote:

You want to rush tier 2 boots to compensate for the lack of an escape spell and then go into frozen heart, generally. Then get a zeal, hold it, and go into sword of the occult or hexdrinker. Finish your zeal item then get the item you didn't buy earlier. 6th item can be whatever you want, but black cleaver is nice.
I said finish the zeal into whatever because the runes are minmaxed for 34% crit chance with PD. PD gives better stats too, so it's a good buy a lot of the time.
Playstyle: Max WEQ. In the early levels you just want to last hit with Q and AAs. At level 6 you can start getting assists by coordinating your ult with the jungler's ganks. You can generally with 1v1s against your lane opponent from level 6 onwards- Plankman is great at extended trades.
Your goal is to teamfight and bait a lot. With barrier, exhaust, hexdrinker and a maxed W you can bait people really easily into fighting you when you have the advantage. You're a tanky autoattacker so get up in your enemies' faces and apply your passive to chase hard. You survive and get assists super easily so sword of the occult charges aren't hard to come by.
The build is a lot more reliable than crit plank since you don't get behind nearly as hard (still useful with less items), and a lot of the time you'll put out very good damage despite only having a couple of damage items.
Also, don't be afraid to 1v1 their AD champions. He's really strong at that, including killing ADCs that are ahead.

On Nocturne/Udyr i use AS reds and Lifesteal quints. You can clean all your jungle + skuttle crab / one enemy camp if you have information on enemy jungler.
On eve i run hybrid pen reds, 1 hybrid pen quint and 2 movespeed quints. Just clean your blue jungle side, buy the purple smite, go to your red side, do golems then red, smite red for the regen and you're ok to gank. Just keep ganking. You may want some early armor or a Botrk if you get underleveled and want to farm to keep up.
On J4 / Lee sin (if you're playing lee), you can win the game in the first minutes of the game. Run armor pen reds, 5% cd and the rest in MR for the blues, and full ad quints. Start on the opposite side of your most gankable lane (start botside if your top is Riven vs Fiora for exemple). Just get lvl3 and gank the opposite lane, you may want your red and avoid the raptors because they do tons of damages. You can also gank lvl2 with J4 or Lee, but you have to start at your red buff side otherwise it's better to get lvl3 before ganking.
These are very helpful, thank you, but I also would like to know your preferred smite items, because I love using the one where you can smite champs.BrokenArrow wrote:
Don't feel bad if you can't take both buffs before going back to base for the first time, most junglers (except Warwick and some others with stupid sustain) have to b after taking the first buff + 1-2 small camps depending on which side you start
Not sure if it's the most optimal route but I found most success with starting bottom lane - get a leash at golems/gromp - buff camp - wraiths/wolves - b - second buff camp
I don't play Eve but I guess you would start blue with her
You can also 3 buff people really easily if they go the route above (unless they warded their buff :^))
If your bot lane is greedy and wants your first small camp for an early level 2 you probably wanna start on the opposite side

Does the new season start as soon as preseason ends? Or is there gonna be some downtime?
The ELO system was amazingly fun,the only possible way to climb was by winning more than losing, right now, situations exist where people get to diamond with a 51%~ win rate or even lower than 50,I agree that I do not like this system at all but there is still the hidden MMR thing so people who win a lot do not get matched with people who lose as much as they win, most of the times,at least.Vulf wrote:
It's been like that since the beginning of season 3 or whenever they added the shitty ladder system. (for exmaple) If you were mid-high of a certain tier the previous season extremely high chances are you are going to be put back into a close area after placements (or higher) unless you go 0/10 which would probably still put you in mid-high of a single tier lower than you. You just need to have MMR from the previous season otherwise you will most likely end up in bronze or very high silver (gold on rare cases if you get matched with a bunch of high MMR players every game).
This was the crap I was bitching about in this thread two years ago. This system does not reflect skill unless you are very low bronze/silver or extremely high diamond/master/challenger and was basically implemented to make ranked more noob friendly and more rewarding the more you play ranked and also to get people to play ranked more. The previous ranked system was a failure to Riot because hardly anyone wanted to play it because it was "too hard" to climb. You get rewarded for winning games (which is fine) but you barely get punished for losing games. Basically if you were bad you fell and if you were good you climbed with the old elo system.
As for how I'm doing in ranked.. Probably not playing it at all this season haven't logged in for over a month on my main account and have only played a few arams on my smurf since then. Might actually be able to FINALLY quit this game since a very large number of my friends moved to something else.
As long as you kept the receipt, you should be able to get the RP to your account through a support ticket pretty easily.Neku okazaki wrote:

offtopic I won just now, yay.
That is the issue with this current system it's way too damn easy to climb. I never said it wasn't at all. LOLTamirko wrote:
Yeah, they might have made it a little friendly to the "bad" players, but if you're above the skill level of those who made that climb only because of the new system, you will surely surpass them,I had my EUNE smurf get placed in Silver I after a 8-2 placement,it took me about 80 games to get to Diamond V (just setting an example) which is really NOT THAT MUCH when you think about it,so yeah, what I'm basically trying to say is-even if you get placed at the same tier you finished the season at (or around that tier),that never means you can't climb up!,you just have to get better and play on.

Golems - Red Buff - Crows - Gank, otherwise Wolves - Toads or Blue Buff - that what lefts from the previous step
This always works for me at the begin. Just make sure if you feel like you're getting counter-jungled then don't risk anything here. If suddenly a Lee Sin scrub jumps to you then don't try to fight him. He probably kills you unless he is low life or you got a strong early jungler like J4 or Kha.
I can pretty much understand the clearing phase of the jungle especially with the toad but after that I don't know where to go, like for example I finished my clear on the toad than blues than wolves, than what? pretty much after the clear I don't know where to gank often leading my team to flame me because I roam to much or don't gank as often I should be... or them getting rekt by the enemy jungler which I could probably have prevented :">Stefan wrote:
