I haven't even beaten SO3 once. I doubt I'm even a fifth of the way done. I think I left off around level 20 something. So yeah, I'm not hardcore with Star Ocean.

Yeah, I played the demo and I wasn't the biggest fan of all the "Push Button to do Simple Task" commands. And for some reason the frame rate was messed up for me and the characters models were flashing in and out.Seibei4211 wrote:
Then you're not gonna like Heavy Rain. At least you can still walk when you're not holding R2 in Prototype.
Oh man, I had a pretty hilarious glitch with the hooker. You know how when you first walk in, she's at her nightstand setting the alarm or whatever? Well, I don't know what I did, but for the entire time after that, whenever she'd try to move into position for a cutscene, she'd fly back to the nightstand after a couple of seconds. She just went back and forth like that the entire time until I was the FBI dude.rust45 wrote:

The thing I'm wondering about a "patch" is how are we supposed to download it if we can't connect to the PSN anyway? Is everyone going to have to do the USB method or something?lukewarmholiday wrote:
patch for this is coming out within 24 hours sony confirmed.
THIS IS AS BAD AS RROD'S GUYS HOLY SHIT.
Right. A PC that you have to upgrade with more frequency than a console with access to infinitely more bugs than a console, but without access to sweet console exclusives. But the games are cheaper and can be moved from computer to computer and it doesn't cost as much as a console to upgrade an existing computer to a gaming computer (in some cases).lukewarmholiday wrote:
Heh, consoles shouldn't exist anymore in my opinion but dumbfucks still would rather spend large sums of money to buy multiple consoles instead of an all in one PC.
Seriously? Nothing? My brother and I spent two hours trying to beat him with no success and there's a chance he won't even drop them?Seibei4211 wrote:
Holy shit. Holy holy shit. A friend and I actually went and beat Crawmerax. Done with that crap. No Pearlescent weapons though. Gyp.

Yes, and I want to only play games that look pretty.Seibei4211 wrote:

Prototype was like that too. Great fun in just fucking around.Seibei4211 wrote:
The whole point of that game (I believe) is not to be good with awesome physics and graphics and stuff (although the draw distance in that game is pretty fucking amazing). It's just to be an actual sandbox game. You're supposed to use your imagination and have fun in sandboxes, yes? That game totally lets you do that. Combat is shit, there's no question there. Hasn't anyone ever played Spider-man 2 and just swung around the city and gone to the highest skyscraper to jump off and catch yourself at the bottom and stuff? It's like that, except with way more stuff to do.
I was thinking that, too. Co-op would be holy shit balls to the wall fun. I hecka like flying to the top of the map in a helicopter, jumping out, and trying to hookshot back into it. That one video made it look so easy. I hecka like flying around with the parachute, too. Zippin' along, going faster than a parachute should go. And hookshotting two people together is always fun.awp wrote:
If you could play multiplayer, even just two people, oh that'd be amazing.
You do not jump into the overworld right away. You spend a lot of time early-game in Cocoon (i think) until eventually moving to some other big world thing with freedom to travel anywhere.Atmey wrote:
Been playing FFXIII in the last couple of days, I got into 12 hours or so, love it so far, I only have one complaint TOO LINEAR! You start the chapter from the beginning of the dungeon/area, chapter finishes you directly go next area (after a cut scene), shoping and upgrading in save points, there is no city or world map yet.
There are no cities in this one, so don't hold your breath. And you don't get the "freeroaming" kind of sidequests until chapter 11 out of 14, I think. The only thing that is kind of bullshit about this is that the completely have you by the balls when it comes to character development. Your characters can only upgrade the roles the game lets you upgrade for most of them game and you can't even level up beyond some stupid limit they have until you progress in the game. It's such a dick move.Atmey wrote:
