Disgaea is worth twice as much as 70 dollar titles like Prototype and RE5 (though RE5 finally dropped to like 35 dollars) because you get like quadruple the play-time from it. I know I exceeded 200 hours. I didn't even buy the second-storyline DLC. idk I don't like Raspberyl. Though, apparently Flonne gets up to some antics, I imagine it's only for like half a chapter.

For some reason I've been using the Onyx Roses on both arms and legs all the time now while going through hard. I didn't even use them on my first playthrough really. Damage isn't even all that stellar, but popping up next to an enemy in Witch Time, shotgunning them in the face, and watching them shoot into the air is way satisfying. And Kilgore is so OP I feel dirty using them.
I'll get the saifung today and see how they are.

Machine gun hit rate with a Sniper range, she is insane, you'll get used to it soon.

I'm seriously considering getting Star Ocean 4 now. I've got shit-all else to play right now until FFXIII comes out.
I got Star Ocean for the 360. It was good, somewhat similar to the one PS2. I stopped playing because my xbox froze after about 4 hours of none saved gameplay. damn scarce saves. It doesn't even save when you change the disc. wtf is that?

Difficulties in an RPG are okay so long as they don't make you unlock them. Given that the learning curve in RPGs tends to be much lower than in other games, someone who catches on quick is probably safe to step up the difficulty early on.

Yeah, it might be fine if you could just skip to the hardest one and get it over with, but there's two extra difficulties in SO4 and you have to unlock them both. 3 playthroughs minimum if you wanna beat the hardest.awp wrote:

Skip cutscenes. It's really not that bad. I beat Star Ocean 3 four times or so, everything goes by pretty quick once you skip all the dialogue and know what you're doing.

That RE5 DLC was hecka sweet. They don't let you use your earned guns and definitely no rocket launcher, so you're stuck with what very, very little they give you. And on Pro, they throw even more guys at you and it's just impossible to kill them all. Which is unsarcastically awesome. Got gangbanged so many times. It was hella scarier than the main game, too. They finally got some survival and some horror parts right in their "survival horror" game.

Oh man, I had a pretty hilarious glitch with the hooker. You know how when you first walk in, she's at her nightstand setting the alarm or whatever? Well, I don't know what I did, but for the entire time after that, whenever she'd try to move into position for a cutscene, she'd fly back to the nightstand after a couple of seconds. It's hard to get into a game that treats using an inhaler as a dramatic scene.
I played that God of War III demo and it just reminded me of how much it is exactly like God of War 1 and 2. I don't know if I can even go back to that after playing Bayonetta.

The new Borderlands DLC's pretty awesome. The monster is awesome with the epic rocket launcher. But the Racer when I heard about sounded pretty awesome, but it turns out it's just a Runner with more speed and a spoiler. But the best part is that it's almost another fullblown game, there are enough missions to call it that.
The odd thing is though, I'm playing on my second playthrough but all the lance are showing the 1st playthrough names and the bandits are a mix 1st playthrough and 3rd playthrough names. Course the new level cap is amazing. And Chemical Troopers are my bane, makes my Defiler useless.

I promise you, man, we got no Pearlescent. He drops a fucking shitload of weapons (like 50 or something), but there were only 3 oranges or so and no Pearlescent. We scoured it for a good long while to make sure we didn't miss anything, but he didn't really drop anything of any use at all. I mean, he probably dropped some good stuff, but we'd already gotten some pretty good weapons. I was as surprised as you are that there wasn't at least one guaranteed Pearlescent.
Well hopefully when we finally beat him we get something. 50 weapons probably won't even make up for the amount of money we had to pay for all the deaths.

You. Need. Lilith. I can't imagine anyone else being able to hide long enough with her and her Phasewalking. I was using Lilith and my friend was using Roland. He was basically acting as the decoy cause everytime he popped up, Crawmerax was distracted and I could do assloads of damage from behind, then hide until Roland got back up. There were at least 3 close calls with two of those Second Winds happening within a split second of death. It was heart attack inducing to be sure. Oh, Lilith is also good cause of her Team Shield Capacity mod and if you can get one, a +2 Team Rare Item mod, so you can throw that on before he dies and get a better chance at a Cyan weapon. I didn't do that cause I didn't think about it and would've been too scared to do that anyway.

Just went through the new RE5 DLC on Pro. Holy fucking shit, that is the hardest shit to do in RE5. Nonstop intensity, man. Especially at the end where you have to deal with waves of zombies including 2 gatling guns and 3 chainsaw guys for 7 minutes with no checkpoints. Pretty sweet though, but now let's never ever do that again.
