I wouldn't say I "hate" the game, rather than I am a critic of it. I find MOBAs boring, like a Uni lecture that drags along longer than it should, and from experience I've noticed that people seem to take these games too seriously, like a life and death matter. 99% of games I was matchmaked into with random strangers eventually presented some sort of abuse, argument, dispute, general lack of sportsmanship or the whole lot. The sole reason why I played LoL on over 100 ping was because my friends played it, and when one of my friends had a go at me for not playing properly and vehemently criticised my gameplay I felt that I was wasting my time.Mr Color wrote:
LoL is best played casually. I like to get in a normal game, pick a champion at random and see how I can do.
It's fun and it's all you need, so why hate it. It's like hating Taiko and say "oh mania is better because it has more keys". Maybe you like it that way. I for one like the simplicity in LoL.
It's not a bad game because of the community either. If that's bothering you so much you can play against bots or friends. Ain't much room to complain there. I wouldn't even say it has a community, just people who play the game.
I quit after playing for about a month then returned last year when I got wind of the news that an Oceanic server was being launched and that it was possible to play at a reasonably ping. All my friends appeared to have quit the game by this time so I played a few games with strangers thinking "couldn't be worse, couldn't be worse". It was the same old pathetic, petulant nonsense that I'd experienced before. I usually don't complain about communities, LoL is the only gaming community that I've come to despise. By community I'm referring to those who regularly play the game.
