K I'm here. Uni kicked in again. I will post my thoughts later when I'm fully awake.

Character: Byakuren Hijiri
Ability Name:Multiple different abilities over the range of 5 nights.

Basically every night my ability changes to a stronger one for 5 nights in a row. If I don't use the ability at a certain night, I can't use it anymore.

N1: 1-Shot Flavor Cop
N2: 1-Shot Cop
N3: 1-Shot Weak Doctor
N4: 1-Shot Doctor
N5: 1-Shot Strong-willed Vigilante

N1 targeted Nyquill, got Ran Yakumo result.
N2 targeted Dake but he died :<

Weak Doctor is a pretty tricky ability though. If I target non-scum and I'm alive, he's confirmed Town since if I target scum I die. Basically a Cop and Doctor alltogether, but with a risk of me dying at night :P

Best case scenario is if he shot scum. But if he happened to shoot a townie then we lost two townies. I don't expect you guys to confirm me as townie when he shoots, but at least we wouldn't lose two townies to confirm one townie.

That's a vague argument. Doublevoters are as often Town as scum, at least from my experience.

Actually I do recall there being a doublevoter scum in Multiball as a hidden ability, but IIRC weren't doublevoters generally town-sided?

hmm originally, I was going to say no, but it seem possible. D1, DD was probably a strong town read by GiF but in D2, his read on DD resetted. p/2789237/

Another possibility is Dake hiding behind farto. p/2784995/

@Mod, does hider die if she hides behind scum?

Final possibility is Dake hiding behind GiF, perhaps to not get shot by him. though I don't see any posts that can see that happening.

hider always dies when it hides behind scum. it's the basic mechanic of the role.

I jailed bmin N2, because he was a most likely town and had no immediate power I could interfere with my block.
Also, GiF wasn't likely going to shoot bmin. If I tried going for blocking scum, I may have protected them by mistake.

Yeah, the flavor is blatantly saying that Dake hid behind GiF. That's probably what happened.

GiF probably wasted his shot on Dake because I doubt he would risk not shooting again.

But if you potentially blocked scum, you might have also prevented a kill. Killing bmin would have made no sense anyways since essentially bmin would be confirmed and can be saved for lylo or in any case where scum can be found.

I doubt that mafia would have shot me. Though, there aren't much point talking about this anymore I guess.

I'm also doubtful that GiF would shoot me. I mean, sure my death wouldn't be the biggest lost and people wanted to confirm me through death, but I'm sure he would have considered the lynch result. I doubt that he would think a mafia would vote a second vote on a fellow mafia buddy.

GiF being RB + shot is definitely possible, since the pool was small enough for him to shoot a scum. Though, having both RB and RS on the same team is another matter.

All claims sounds fine flavor-wise. One minor concern is that Tanz claimed in actual full name (Shiki Eiki Yamaxanadu), while the first post is in just standard full name (Shiki Eiki). Though, the name is also different for farto as well (Byakuren Hijiri vs Hijiri Byakuren), so it's very likely that Jinxy just typed out each time for those role PMs and the first post. Or you guys know the name good enough to not copy paste from role PM >_>

I've also considered DD hiding behind a mafia, thinking he was hiding behind a townie that is not likely to get shot. Though, this didn't change the fact that Nyquil, Tanz, and farto are our suspects.

well, he didn't do his best to convince anyone if you're honest. on day 1, especially without many scumreads, lynching a guy who obviously doesn't give a fuck about the game is always an option.

also agree with gif, there is obviously a busser on that wagon. mafia somehow needs to salvage this, and a bus is a gamble that might work out for them.

This post pinged me a bit. I don't think Tanz voted for anyone D1 or seemed suspicious of anyone. But then when oni was hammered, it seemed like his opinion changed despite the fact oni was consistently not playing. Tanz could have had the opportunity to vote already instead of oni being hammered.

at that point, i thought oni was scum, because he said so, and it was more like a "well killing the inactive is also an valid option" thing. like, if you have nothing better to do anyway, then go after people who are not helping town or hurting town.

Back then when I was sending in my decision, I was thinking what would happen if there was only one kill.
If GiF shot town and there would only be one kill, GiF would probably be drawn for the lynch.

Basically I wanted to confirm GiF's role, though that didn't end up well did it.
If the flavor implies that GiF and Dake died together because of hider, then I should have just targeted GiF instead.

nue was scum, and some of gensokyo's more typical scum suspects (flandre, remilia) were town.

would be way to easy to judge it solely on flavour.
if anything, yakumo is one of those "mor elikely to be scum" suspects i'd say.

ok let's talk about doublevoter role

we recently had a game where there was a town doublevoter (rEdo) and a scum doublevoter (CalignoBot) (multiball)

there were 2 big differences between these 2 roles:
1. town dv has to post his second vote on topic, as if it was a normal vote, while scum dv could post it by pm to the mod
2. town dv appeared with his name in the votecount for both his votes, while the second vote of scum dv was anonymous

I looked for Yakumo Ran on some touhou wiki, and the name of Chen appears immediately, so i feel pretty safe to consider Nyquill town, at least for now

Tanz - Auto Coroner (nothing revealed)(Perhaps mafia has a method of knowing a coroner exists which has made them withhold janitor kills)
Nyquill - Double Voter via Chen
Farto - Weird JOAT that has a different ability each night. Targeted me n1 to confirm yakumo, targeted Dake n2 revealed nothing. N3 will be weak doctor, then doctor N4, then Strong Willed Vig.

I think this question is trivial. you claim that you are town, nh, and thus if there is a role blocker he should be scum. in your hypothetical scenario, only if gif targeted the role blocker you jailkept could've made this a relevant question.

but, we don't know who or even if gif targeted anyone. we don't know if there are 2 role blocking roles in the game. the question has no point at all.

I'm sure he didn't shoot Raging Bull AKA our BP. He didn't claim to be shot and BP usually gets notified when he gets shot. Also, it's just less likely then GiF shooting me or Dake anyway.

Assuming we have a mafia RB, that makes them having Ninja + RS, RB, and a Janitor as a possible mafia composition. Does this sounds balanced enough against our line up? I don't have any experience with balancing, so...

I'm not too sure what made the mafia to not Janitor kill the first night, nor the second night. I guess it is a fare assumption for them to expect a Coroner, but outright not using it just because of a possibility seems extreme. Though, claiming Coroner as a mafia while there aren't any Janitor kills is equally (or more) extreme, so this is really a big WIFOM.

I think he was scum reading dake at the end? I wasnt shot. Also what nh said about not jking scum, if there was only one death and gif shot town, im sure he would immediately claim.

But any thoughts on this post?

And is there usually a janitor with coroner or vice versa? Or sometimes it can be a dud role?

Janitor could exist without a coroner (though, with limited amount of shots for balance reason), but I haven't heard of coroner without janitor-like roles.

Even if GiF claimed, it would still be up to as on rather if we would believe him or not. Though, his vote on rEdo and all will pretty much make him look like a townie no matter what. After all, he was the first one to switch his vote to rEdo.

i'm pretty certain that mafia has some method of knowing a coroner is alive then (like nohitter did with censor mafia), and their janitor is limited so has been witholding kills.
