I have to say nerfing in Dota is nowhere near the level of LoL. Here is a summary of all balancing changes to Dota heroes over the past few years http://www.playdota.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1349921 buffs are green, nerfs are pink. As you can see there are WAY more buffs than nerfs.Ceph23 wrote:
I've been playing both DOTA ang LOL for along time now and both has had some extreme nerfs over the years. (Don't know about HON though since I don't play it) Only thing is League's nerfs affects the game heavily because of it's simplicity. When nerfs are done in DOTA or DOTA 2 it Isn't much of a big deal since there are tons of ways to counter said nerf. But I do agree that Riot nerfs and overpowers champs too often. They should take a lesson from Icefrog and balance champs as best as they can and not keep rotating OPs and Nefrs.
Edit: also Dota 2 has also used the "nerf one guy and buff the other" tactic (I.E. Alchemist ult nerf and blood seeker movement speed exeeding max buff in the same patch).
Seems both MOBA tycoons use this tactic. We may not understand it but there is probably a reason to why they do this.
C9 played well, Fnatic was not even close to the level they played at last split and at worlds. Sad to see, cyanide says a part is having Rekkles now which doesn't play TF carries like Puszu and forces him to make early plays. In my opinion xpeke doesn't shine anymore and gets so much behind every time in lane, in combination with some questionable team setups.Kanye West wrote:

Yeah most of the matchups for BotA were really bad. Should have been C9 vs Gambit and TSM vs Alliance/Fnatic imo. But yeah I agree EU as a whole seems to have many really good teams. 7/8 EU LCS teams look really damn good while only C9 and TSM can really compete internationally from NA. And I think Fnatic just needs some time to adapt to the current meta and they'll be top tier againSiFly wrote:

Think this tournament mainly showed how much EU is stronger in general and how NA mainly consists out of TSM and C9. Vulcun didn't really look promising and played really sloppy.
I hope LD does fine this LCS split, I think they can do decently and only being together for 2 weeks allowed TSM to stomp them, though they played the 2nd game not too bad.

That was actually an experiment for Pantheon which went quite okay more than once. Been using those quints on Akali for the past week as well, but hybrid pen marks.those wrote:

I guess that is the dumbest and simplest solution, huh? lol.TKiller wrote:
The dumbest yet simpliest solution would be to use main monitor for games and secondary for applications.
Dunno, I just drag windows back and forth depending on if I'm playing something or not, my use of second monitor consist of watching streams/movies in the background anyway.
Well that and I don't use desctop shortcuts.
That was actually an experiment for Pantheon which went quite okay more than once. Been using those quints on Akali for the past week as well, but hybrid pen marks.Do you really see the effect of them? Still figuring out what the optimal runes are for my jungle morgana. I only get out with ~60-70% hp after full clear, would like to have that higher.
I feel like spellvamp quints are highly underrated overall. With WotA being weird as it is now, Akali sustain nerfed really hard back when Lich Bane became magic on-hit, and still no spellvamp items for AD champions Gunblade AD part being nerfed long ago, I find them worth using myself, especially over AD quints which I pretty much only use for stuff like level 1-2 kills.

If you're really trying to jungle morgana, AP quints would do you more benefit. Actually same for laning.SiFly wrote:

Most anoying is when they nerf something to death. Fine if that happens and you make a mistakes, but revert the nerfs partially to make it have less of an impact (for example mf). (Except from some obvious champs they want to keep weak).Vulf wrote:
Rengar has been disabled in most competitive play tournies because of the triple/quadra Q bug which has existed since that champions release. Riot so good at fixing bugs lelelelel. Ferocity is probably the dumbest thing they have ever added to this game. Rengar needs a resource rework since Riot will never be able to balance that champion with the current one as ferocity.
Nasus doesn't need anymore nerfs after the current ones on PBE. They need to actually BUFF stuff for once instead of nerfing everything to shit which in itself is making this game boring and frustrating to play. The only reason Nasus is so stupid now is because everything has been nerfed around him (preseason masteries kinda helped him too). You can't just nerf stuff constantly for 2 years and expect good things to happen.

Where's the problem? Having a hard time sustaining in the jungle or at ganking? I usually solve those by getting an early vamp cepter and evolve E at level 6, I guess that makes him a pretty decent jungler overallHika wrote:

I'm sure they nerfed the crap out of his W too, amirite
I find him super fitting for the mid lane however

Like BA i usually evolve E first ,_, evolve Q first is ofc way better to clear camps faster but i think it depends on your playstyle (more jungle or more ganks?), with E at lvl 6 you can gank pretty easily but i guess you won't really need it if your mate(s) got something to cc the one(s) you'r ganking (so it also depends on your team é_è...).tyrael6192 wrote:
