Also, do you think I should make my own maps TaikOsu? I've been thinking a lot on that. By just making Taiko authentics, I think I'm alienating a huge portion of osu! which doesn't play Taiko well(unless Taiko-specific can be ranked at some point). But at the same time, I'm completely out of touch with the Ouendan style of play, and getting even one map ranked, as you all know, is pretty freaking hard. And some Taiko maps just aren't worth the effort to be made into TaikOsu.

Can anyone tell me what I should do?

You'll have to wait. My camera isn't coming fast enough, and I still can't preorder the game yet(this is an early leaked version). I probably won't get the game until I finish my STPM exam (starts Nov. 19, also day of Taiko Wii 2 release, ironic as hell)

From the blog arken gave, unlocking Oni is simpler than in previous games, 15 crowns on Muzukashii.

I think I'll record Lalala Happiness first. Once I finish the game I'll probably record Rotter Inner, Hikari no Kanata e, Senpuu no Mai and 練習曲Op.10-4(if I can clear it )

The BPM at the beginning and the middle are different for some reason. Don't think it's supposed to be like that.

Anpanman no March differs in the arcade from the DS version, maybe in the arcade non-standard velocities are now used to make the map seem harder. I do not know arcade versions too well, but this is most likely a reworked map.

That's the same velocity used in the arcade. I was of the impression that they changed the speed from arcade in the transition to DS1, since it's the only game that has that speed for both songs

For DS1, the BPM stays constant, abt 112 BPM on average. For the 170 BPM, I figured it out in the arcade. I recorded it and compared for 150-180. It seems that 170 is quite accurate, so I used them

I guess I was wrong... I mostly find it baffling from a game design standpoint. The "harder" part (the middle) is slower than the easier, faster intro. Well, what do I know? I'm not a game designer.

Kinda funny that we already have a good chunk of Taiko Wii 2 on osu! already lol.

This songlist drives me nuts in many ways. It has a lot of songs I like, but at the same time missing a lot of songs as well. The addition of Ura notes is awesome, but I think more songs should go into the game since it's Nidaime already.

The PS2 versions had more songs for each increasing -daime.

The giant burst note was introduced in Taiko Wii 1. If you get a 可、 less notes will burst out of it than if you get a 良. It definitely wasn't where I expected it to be. What a weird place in the song.

Also, here's a protip in checking timing: place notes on all white ticks, change them all to Katsus, then listen from there. Keep adjusting according to how the notes sound

Don't do that >.> Use the metronome ticks - that's what they're for! Using hitsounds as markers for timing can be bad, since the sound effects for the katsu may have a few ms of silence or other noise before the main "kat" sounds, throwing off the timing

@mattyu: Currently, at the exact moment the timing point switches to a new one, you hear two ticks very close to one another. The 2nd tick is correct, but the first tick will throw your timing off pretty badly. Even if you map at 25%
