Lol cool. And yes, I have my own trusted bachi - been using them WORLDWIDE for two years already. It has hit various Taiko drum machines in Malaysia and Hong Kong. Well, I cut them from two long (semi thick) sticks which have the thickness of a mop stick and made it very smooth with shalet and sand paper. It's very light and the drum machine responds very well to it.

If the new arcade opens with Taiko 12.5/13, guess who will frequently visit them. =_=

And where's Kita Saitama for the 2nd trial???

Edit: oh what the heck, I'll try to map Mori no Kumasan (Oni + Inner Oni) and expect X-DAY2000 and Caramelldansen to come back soon.

Now, I wonder why I forgot that. It feels a bit awkward though, if one-third of the Trials are 2000 songs. I'll put Kita Saitama in somewhere. Maybe ditch DON'T CUT

I want my own set, but I'm terrible at carpentry, and I don't know anyone who is good at it.

If I end up going to a university in KL, I'll be storming that Taiko too :lol:

It's super easy; just cut it with a saw and make it smooth and you're done!

youngdow uses western sticks with sawn off ends. Using these he was able to FC kita saitama2000.

flyboy, would you be able to give me length and diameter (girth) measurements for your sticks?

Just interested if I want to make my own, if I visit one of my sister's in London I plan to hunt down a taiko machine.

Please do -- DON'T CUT is one of the easiest (possibly the second easiest, even) Urahumens. Too easy in fact that it qualifies for Oni :\

...pffft, Wikihouse doesn't even have the Oni entry for Bouken Hyouri. Oh well, guess I have to do it the long way...

Very fun song. I would think it's definitely trial worthy, but I know nothing! I have yet to beat a 9 star song.

Not fun at all, the speed is crazy...

It went up to 720 BPM, that's insane. I can't even read the notes there.

Edit: 3 remade Taiko maps adjusted to proper timing and Kiai mode added!

Maybe it's me. I'll just say that I've played and heard the song being played dozens of times and it feels as though something is off. I appreciate your efforts though :)

And it's about time we get a Doraemon theme in here! We already have Anpanman, so why not Doraemon?

But how did you get A rank with 28 misses? I get anything like that and it's a C for me.

BTW, I loaned a camera from my cousin for a day. Since I didn't have much time with it, I only managed to film me FCing Koibumi and sucking on X-DAY on Taiko Wii

@aqua: How does playing with the wiimote work? I mean for example, PS2 controller = Square-Right=Don, Triangle-Up=Katsu. I just can't imagine how weird it must be to play Taiko using the Wiimote...?

Iunno, I thought it'd just come naturally if you know how to flip-flop between left and right in the first place.

Try practicing first. Shut off the computer or something, and tap D-D-K-D-D-K-D-D-K on your keyboard, first slowly, to get the hang of it, and then faster. Same with controller. Try with any other sequence that needs you to switch hands.

Yeah I think I'll try doing the lessons on TnTPSP2 using proper switching too. Probably gonna start playing maps from Taiko 1 PS2 since back then, Oni was too easy to be called such, and probably might be easy enough for me to practice proper left-right. To demonstrate my right-hand biase, here's a replay of Bouken Hiyori; notice how notes that aren't 1/4 apart are always hit with the right hand:

DKK, huh... well mastering patterns of 3 ain't a problem, but I must admit the 3-note-patterns that I'm having a problem with are DKD, KDK, DKK, and KDD. I mean, I can get them if they're stuck up with other normal patterns, but if a ton of these go together I usually find myself missing soon enough.

Hey I was gonna make it on authentic first :P The 2000 is going to be on Taiko Wii 2 before Taiko 13. Namco will get burned to the ground if it isn't

If I like the song, I will. Hopefully it's more SUKG&*#AWT&(#GOT*G than HayaSai so that I can argh... ahaha...

Also, @aqua: you CAN get a vid of RaRaRaHappiness' charts, right...? The camera you used is clear enough (I guess?)

Zekira: That camera wasn't mine. I borrowed it for a day and had a little extra time to do stuff with it :P Don't worry, I'll get one of my own soon enough. Oh, when you map Lalala Happiness, can I add my own Taiko difficulty to it? :D I like the song a lot.

The opening movie for Bouken Hiyori should be christmas-y enough already. Nanadaime was released close to Christmas itself. But I'll see what I can get.

I'm still waiting for Frionel's difficulty (it should be named Blood Lance, Blood Bow, Blood Sword, I think he'll finish it by tomorrow), but right now there are only 3 difficulties: Grenade Launcher, Laser Cannon, and OP-Intensify, which represent my 3 selves:

Grenade Launcher -- Zeki-Katsu's ace accessory. This difficulty represents note-heaviness of basic note patterns.
Laser Cannon -- Zeki-Don's ace accessory. This difficulty represents sped-up but few notes.
OP-Intensify -- Zekira's internal modification. This difficulty represents the intensification of Zeki-Don and Zeki-Katsu. (and is probably the hardest difficulty I made for this set)

Lol, our titles are different by one '!', which then makes it that we have seperate mapsets. Yey for non-overwriting! Will merge stuff tomorrow.

This sucks. I had just finished my best run of Ware wa Muteki no Dokon Dan, and as soon as I attempt to move my mouse away from the retry button, it clicks and doesn't save it. I haven't been able to replicate it yet :(

I have a feeling that they are authentic -- he said that all of his Onis are 777 combo and have the same score, so I'm thinking it is indeed authentic and dual-playable...

...in other news, I FCd Haya Saitama 6 times in a row. But when I put Flashlight+Hidden, I always at least miss once (best so far was only 517 combo), how annoying is this ._.

Umm...
I made TaikOsu as Original pattern...
And if do that, 7(TaikOsu6+Hell Oni1)+4(Taiko-authentic) diffs on Song...
Anyway...

I'll consider about it.
But It seems hard to do this... :(

Number of diffs shouldn't be a big problem. I've seen maps with contributed difficulties more than 15 of them in a single song. And I can't get the authentics ranked any other way(for the time being, anyway)
