@Ephemeral: speaker amp is under desk to the right on a little shelf (yamaha AV amp). Desk is custom-made pine (and actually runs across the whole room).
@strager: yes it is a mamba. swapped from g7 a few weeks back due to a horribly broken scroll wheel. it works great, but battery life is questionable. i've never really considered lighting actually. i mostly just use ceiling lights (fluorescent).

Oh, that's not clear from the pic. (It's pretty dark in the pic, which is why I was concerned.)

No, osu!'s more of a purple-ish pink and purple, not desaturated bright pink and baby blue. :3

Samsung monitor, Razer kb/mouse. 30w speakers.
In terms of the keyboard and mouse, they were offering them on amazon UK as a package with the mat, and I liked the look of the flat keys as I'm a taiko player on osu! - I had also been previously using a laptop to play, so I'm used to using flat keys.



Tower unit. Contained within i7-920 (Bloomfield) & 260 GTX.


It would seem to be through hours of research that basically Intel is better than AMD for general use and multitasking... vice versa for gaming. Since what I use my computer for is mostly osu! and video rendering, I went for Intel.

The VCR is for video capture.

The Gamecube is there as it is played on the small CRT television. If I wish to record something it goes onto tape via the combi VCR of the TV... after this I would play it through the seperate VCR and capture on computer.

Yeah, a friend in process of moving left bunch of old stuff in our cellar. Since it seemed that almost busted-looking CRT's did not serve a real purpose to the original owner Anymore, I swiped it for my use... If i'd play real nolife and want to snap my desk i'd go get the third monitor from cellar but meh.

Also the idea is from friend who first had two CRT dual setup but now widescren LCD + CRT. I also love CRT because I can keep figurines on it nicely. I need to take them out there though If i open In The groove and get my pad - My dance gaming tends to not be ninja enough and CRT shakes that much that figurines fall. Happened twice already - good that everyone is alive still.

Yes, She is only reason I started getting figurines. Clannad is my favorite anime and through any endeavor I had to get her.place where my figurines are kinda changes though

I recently moved to the other dorm available to freshmen. I got a smaller desk as a result, but it's worth it.

Behold the dishes I have yet to wash, the art history reading for Thursday I'm finishing up, the post-it notes that make up my to-do-by-Friday list, and my entire desk in general. Woo.

(yes the maneki neko is hiding behind the clock, it's a little camera shy)

My movie collection also got bigger when I went to college. I only had Pushing Daisies, Play Misty For Me, Suicide Club, and Coraline before college. I've still got two more movies on the way. >>

My setup is a laptop on a kitchen table next to a PS2 hooked into a 13" CRT TV. It looks a lot like what you'd expect it to look like.

IMO your desk lamp is too intense. Could be the camera though. I personally prefer ambienty light from behind (toward the monitor).

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I've never seen a theming program that was a spyware. Even stylexp or windowblinds that are horrible programs still aren't spywares.

Well sure yes, but it took me less than 3 minutes so can't really say I wasted my time.

I actually found myself two new useful tools I'll be surely using in the future (color naming and color average finder)
There's often debates about what color it is between me and my friends. This sure will be handy ;)

and strager, there actually is blur > average filter :P
gave me c09eb6, still is lily.

I have a cell phone, but I don't see how it's a relevant statistic. My phone doesn't take pictures. That's what my camera's for. My phone is for talking to people. Or texting them, I guess.

Well yes, but nonetheless a 5mp camera would take better images than any of those 1-2mp cheap cellphones, at the same resolution ofcourse.

Anything seem odd here? (Inb4 hats)

Empty desk is for a Iiyama 19" (omfg monster) CRT which I have yet to purchase, and in the future an apple keyboard. Bye-bye any spare USB ports! (Unless of course the CRT has a decent hub in it, I don't know the exact model I'm buying since I haven't seen it.)

Current USB use is as follows:

Main computer:
x2 keyboard input (x1 keyboard)
x1 Primary mouse
x2 External HDD
x1 Printer
x1 WiFi dongle
x1 USB capture box
x1 USB hub (I hate using hubs...)
x1 spare input (expecting to use for keyboard or CRT monitor hub)

Keyboard hub:
x1 Secondary mouse

Hub:
Hurrdurr nothing connecting. I should probably just do away with it and have one useful port.

I could probably do with having a small, separate media server and linking that to the computer. Might free up the HDD slots provided I could have plenty of space on the server (thinking ~10TB so it's fully future proof).

my guns are in my bedroom closet they are not visible in this picture what are you talking about

also baseboard heating can't set anything on fire, I'm guessing. For a year I had over a dozen cables running along my baseboard-heated room and 0 problems
