You're pretty decent with values, so I say keep at it and worry about rendering later.
Is it an OC? If not, what character did you base it on? Doesn't matter...tyrael6192 wrote:

I don't really care whether you're good at creating or managing concepts, but you can still pull out such a technique!tyrael6192 wrote:

CS4 doesn't have a transfer tickbox, but i'm assuming it's the same as opacity jitter?boat wrote:
Tick "transfer" and choose "pen pressure" in the drop down menu for "control" in the brush preferences.
Assuming you're using potatoshop.

When you don't cel-shade or vector, then blend in the linework. Use a darker value of the respective sections color where it's in shadow, and vice versa with highlights. You did this right at some parts, but should keep it consistent throughout the entire piece.![]()
This is good, but don't only do it for a few details.

Most of the times I use the Staedtler set which has more colours but felt more comfortable using the small Faber-Castell creative set this timehikari_eniza wrote:

i always draw from reference, so my ability to do purely conceptual and unreferenced art is really quite lacking.. having said that, it is a skill i'd like to learn ^^Numii wrote:
