SCREW YOU STAGE 5 BOSS. SCREW YOU AND YOUR LAZERS.

As you might have noticed, I'm a bit irritated at the Stage 5 boss. More specifically, the Spell Card with the rotating green laser. If it weren't for those goddamn rice bullets...

And again, I suck at deathbombing. Haven't gotten to 12.3 yet; I'll cool down with Warning Forever for a bit before I try that.

Also, :cry: at no Stage 4 gimmick.



EDIT: 12.3: It looks like our two new characters have their own gimmicks. (9)'s got a slow fall, and Sanae gets her goddesses. I haven't yet gone up in a real fight against China, but I don't think she got anything new. Also, yay at Dichromatic Butterfly ~ Ancients as Reimu's theme.

EDIT2: Wow. Wasn't expecting Utsuho to be here.

EDIT3: We get Suwako too?!

UFO seems a lot harder than even MoF. I'm at least thankful that the Stage 2 boss' last card is easier than before (at least, it seems that way~).

Aya is so good. even when she gets KO'ed in arcade mode she does not give up. but she doesn't do anything else then jump around and dash in the stage.

Eh keeps fighting even though she's down, and does not afraid of Gabi. LOL.

On a side note, I keep crashing in UNL Arcade mode after defeating Tenshi. Zzz.

i see some of you having trouble to make them playable in UNL

SPOILER

1. put DLed th12.3 to 10.5 folder, make sure your th105.exe and th123.exe in the same folder.
2. use this full line configex123.ini
Download: configex123.rar

then change your th105 path like before.

Right, a few hours ago I decided to try fucking around with Soku using Cheat Engine.
The giant catfish is completely unplayable. The very moment you start the match it crashes.
Same goes for the giant doll.
In arcade and story, the game can be changed to 2P mode, except when player 2 dies, there are no spellcards. The level moves on as if you've defeated the character. This works with Sanae and Cirno, but not China; it crashes when the fish is supposed to appear.
If you change the game type to practice or VS com in story or arcade, you will be controlled by the computer, with the difficulty at the same level as the opponent.
The best part is the character values. If you freeze it on the character you want, you can play through story with everyone except Utsuho and Suwako. It loads the character's SWR story, complete with the old-style dialog. You can play it right up to the end, but when Tenshi uses her spellcards where she makes large rocks appear from the ground, you cannot land on them, you just hover as if falling; if Tenshi manages to catch you in the first one, neither of you will be able to move. If you stay on the ground in the second one, Tenshi will be the only one who is frozen, and you can just hit her with long-range moves.
After defeating EX Tenshi, the game will stop responding (this is what Pasonia may have been referencing), but fortunately, you can still save replays if you die or quit, and they will be viewable by anyone.
HP cannot be hacked. Only that little red afterglow can, and you still die when the bar runs out.
Stages can probably be hacked, but I don't care so I haven't bothered. Same goes for weather.
...maybe I should write a guide for this...

Also SiN, why have you not unlocked Utsuho?

Something I bet many of you haven't noticed:

By moving the UNL files to SWR and deleting the config123.dat, you can transfer over the Spell Cards you have from SWR. Note that this will delete any UNL unlocks you already have, and you can just move UNL back after it hits the title screen.

And Mystical Chain seems to be insanely rare for a Touhou doujin game.

I've already beaten UFO extra stage. Shit's way too easy compared to other extra stages.

And how the heck do you dodge her UFO spams?

And one thing I noticed when looking up the translation: We're in Makai for the last two stages. Wonder where Shinki is.

EDIT: I just watched an Extra replay. The midboss is so freakin' trivial, she should have just brought her last card from her stage appearance. She'd be likely to get a kill then.

and lol @ reisen having all vocaloid colors including gackpoid and megpoid.

so reisen > miku > rin/len > luka > meiko > kaito > gackpoid > megpoid

it's the story about jealousy between Marisa, Alice and Patchy i think..
easy mode clear with Marisa-Patchy and the final boss is Alice.

UFO makes its presence known, with one of the fastest English patches since release.
Oh, and ZUN releases a patch (finally), which fixes the score issue.

these games are really gonna be the reason I lose my voice some day because for some reason in Subterranean Animism there always seems to be 1 *bleep* Bullet that likes to home in on me or the game *bleep* glitches on me and seems to make my hitbox bigger than other times and counts a graze as a death *breathing heavilly*
(I appologise for the swearing but as you can tell, Im very *bleep* right now, so if your offended again I appologise)

Much as I continue to play Touhou titles, I have yet to clear any of them on Normal or above (although I've come pretty damn close a couple times on certain ones).

By the way: Most of you in this thread already have most or all of the games, but for those new to this thread, or for those who've been looking, I have a godsend for you: full-version English-patched Touhou (well, except UNL, anyway):

Well fuck, I think I know your problem. Any long bullet, such as knives, are actually made using a ROUND hitbox. That means you have to go wider around them than you may think.

Er...well, I checked a few pages and didn't see anything pertaining to links (although because I didn't search the whole thread, I probably didn't see a page where someone did say something). hey is the touhou hack and slash have english patch or something? if it isnt well i wont download it because i cant understand japanese for sakes.

also this is the touhou project topic right. so for those who plays team fortress 2 and like touhou you may like these awesome custom touhou character skins.

the final 3 skins that are yet to be made are

mokou as pyro
reimu as soldier
suika as demoman

I'm not very familiar with Touhou, but there's this flash game that I played last week that was very similar.
Ofcourse, it's nowhere as insane, the last levels are same difficulty as easiest touhou levels, but it still was pretty fun.

This bad apple video was featured on GameTrailers.
Of course they don't mention Touhou at all, but still, GameTrailers is so silly. I remember back in the day when they featured that video.

man. i saw a Bad Apple Sillouhete video. and i was like. wtf how they do that.

anyways in touhou related i just got myself imperishable night. beaten easy (dont laugh) with sakuya and remilia. took me 3 tries just to unlock extra stage after i figure it out that i need time to have more time to beat kaguya

there are plenty of sites to find. mostly torrents. but if you like direct downloads i suggest finding it at a website called doujinstyle. google it and you will be on your way.

Here's an .osb and the video bundled, just extract it to your Bad Apple!! song folder and it'll work. There's a bit of a drawback though, I made the beginning sync, the downside is that the song used in the map actually has an extended instrumental intro before going into the vocals, so after Marisa catches the apple, the song won't sync with the video as the original did.

also how do i unlock extra stage for IN. i already unlocked it for sakuya+remilia team. im trying to get extra with malice (marisa +alice). i already unlocked final B but not final A. is there any solution?
