To end this work with ranking, I advice you to make top 100 shown while playing and return top 400 back to song select ranking panel. Also, making country rank in profile would be interesting, too.

I liked unified ranking much more... I enjoyed being able to compete against both friends and top50 in-game, now I can only see one list at the time while playing and I have to switch tabs each time I want to see how my friends did, because I'd rather have top50. It would be great if it was added back as an option... Unified ranking was perfect for me except for local scores, which make no sense there imo and just spam it.

This is real nice. At least for me it seems more organized since I can choose what I want to see. Liking this much more than original unified ranking. Thanks for the update peppy.

I have to agree with _tear here; it was nice seeing my position among both my friends and the top50 together. However, I can see why people might like the split rankings too. Perhaps make it configurable?_tear wrote:

Peppy you should avoid useless scores sorting both server-side and client-side :
Example: if Im sorting scores by "country" and I add the hidden mod, then it will recalculate scores list, which will be the same.
Since it takes a second or two to render, I bet the server does the sorting and send it to me again (would take a millisecond else, if it were client-side rendering).
Remove those useless calculs, it is not a problem for the client if it still does them, but that could avoid lot of work to the servers.

It's more organised imho, however i think there is a bug, it doesn't refresh the leaderboards every time you change the type of ranking you are viewing...

Please report bugs in Technical Support, not here.

It was always said to post all problems to tech support forum. I don't know what are you arguing about...
Really like the Country implementation, and the addition of your score to the friends ranking list.
I don't think it was worth trading away the notification of how many friends you have in the top50 for one score worth of vertical space though. Maybe a compromise could be to add text to the Global Ranking option in the dropdown. eg "Global Ranking (2 friends)". This would also allow the user to tell if they have friends in the top50 by just dropping down, without explicitly changing to the global ranking list.

I removed it because it was pointless (you can just scroll and check the rank numbers).
Only one real thing has bothered me with all these score display updates. The fact there's no more scoreboard refresh button anymore, any chance of that coming back in?

Rankings not loading is fixed in the latest update.
Really nice changes. Country ranking takes awhile to load but it's great that we can play against those within the same country. It makes it not so hard to at least feel like you're being competitive.

Nice update, but I think that seeing the user avatar on ranking screen is a bit unnecessary.
Maybe it will be bad on slow internet connections. Creating an option allowing the user toggling it or not will be nice.

Quoting these two for my current concern as well. I returned to Indonesia (maybe for a while) and playing under (somewhat slugish) mobile broadband with data limit. Coupled with slow connection, sometimes the leaderboard may not load until I clicked the refresh button.
Otherwise, everything's good.

Avatars ain't going anywhere sorry! I also don't plan on restoring the refresh button, so if you are having issues with loading the rankings please report this as a bug, or just try switching to another difficulty and back again.
Hmm... I found the unified ranking board more useful and less time consuming. Yes, it may not have been very user friendly, for most players, but it was definitely a step in the right direction. Separating it into several different categories felt like more of a downgrade to me so I can't say that I'm fond of the recent changes. Well that's enough of my rambling, I appreciate all of the hard work you put in to this game for us peppy. Thanks!
