He had a secret task, which was to assign how many "bullets" will be given to each player. He also knew about the possible exemption. So in the end, your odds may have not been 3/6. How ever many bullets are assigned determines the payout. If you succeed, your earnings would double, then triple.

Zekira was quite lucky there to survive two rounds, which earned him $10,000.
Although $17,000 failed to reach the bank (which is how much money was "lost" or did not even make it due to eliminations), a good $13,000 was made.
That brings your total pot to $28,000.
However, the Mole Bank has $41,000. If you want to Mole to fail their mission, you better start earning cash quick!
