It's not the liking both part; Beta admitted to basically trying out everything and getting bored with pretty much everything to and thus she can't keep committed to anything. Personally I wouldn't mind, but she kinda brought Taiko in the picture and... yeah.

At the time I am writing this, half of my screen is a Finance assignment due within one week consisting of 10 long-ass question.
But that can wait (a little). This is more important.

At that time I wasn't this into Taiko, I was just going to get the Kantan/Futsuu charts and get out of here and making my Future Lab mapset ranked.
Not sure why I stayed until now, but I did stay until now and that's what matters more.

In fact at the very beginning (4 years ago we're talking) I got into Taiko only because of the dress-up in DS1.
I always liked dress-up and costume and stuff, and music game are possibly the only genre I am appealed to and actually good at
(I had played through Ouendan1/E/2 and Rhythm Tengoku then. Also all the further exposure in the osu! community)
So Taiko quickly rose to one of my favourites along the DS softwares. I even bought DS2 and DS3 legit.
A bit later I started searching YouTube for more Taiko gameplay, but mostly sticking to the current era (Wii1 and Wii2)
At that time I play Taiko only casually. I can play easier Oni charts, but not aiming to train hard to raise the bar

But then there is this one thing about me liking certain games - it quickly cools down and I kinda rarely touch them anymore.
That cycle usually won't last more than half a year. Just ask Picross 3D, Grand Chase, Ouendan and... erm... yeah.
Taiko was almost going down the drain given I have reached my natural best at clearing 8* Oni (gen2 level)

Until now. For 7 months straight I have been growing fonder and fonder of Taiko.
At the beginning I was only working on my favourite maps for myself to play, to now a fully-fledged workable site of maps
I wouldn't have done it without you guys encouraging ("mapping machine" etc. Also my OCD of not liking things incomplete)
Also I actually train for getting better now. From that sad point of I cannot see 5-hit mixed cluster readily to now I can deal with medium-speed longer streams.
I even started to go regularly to arcades for Taiko now.
I gotta say, as far as I go, you guys did a great job converting me to Taiko
Well you guys did also convert me to bemani somehow but still

OK so much for the sappy post. Now to totally forget the finance assignment and map some stuff

With my previous obsessions (Rockman EXE,Hetalia,etc),I can mostly put them aside and focus on other stuff without much trouble
(except for pokemon,but then I'm not planning to put THAT aside,dammit!)

With Taiko and Bemani?
If I ever chose to put them aside,I had the feeling that I'll feel very VERY lost,since those two took up one hell of a place in my fandoms.
Once I put those two aside,filling in the empty space left behind will be very difficult to me.

Even though I do have more recent obsessions *coughDoctorWhocough*coughDiscworldcough*coughPIABcough*,they don't really give as much of an impact as Taiko and Bemani do.


Oh and again,Taiko was the game that got me into Rhythm Games in the first place

I'm still playing rhythm games, and I still love Taiko~ Rhythm games are one of the things I'm forever passionate about~
Just went for a Taiko session, actually. I find myself going weekly now, even though I must have cleared every song in that 11Asia (under 10*) several times by now...

I guess I just want to say I really love rhythm games, since I'm a very music-oriented person and I enjoy the process of becoming better at them.
So that's my 2-cents worth.

On a side note, my local arcade suddenly has GFDM V8! I was so surprised when I saw it.
There's another game I'll be sinking money into (damnit Wangan Midnight)

Just now when aqua chose yokuderu (excuse me singing along to it and missing notes) to play at the arcade, I got reminded of the days I went to the arcade to play Taiko 7 and 9 regularly, all by myself, those days when I played a song just because I liked it and not because I was trying to beat someone's highscore/ catch up to somebody. And I miss those times

It's also one of the reason I like older version cabs than 14.5, if only their maintenance for older machines wasn't so damn bad (the taiko 7, 9, 10 back in my hometown is pretty much destroyed now)

I don't wanna feel like a "desperate symaphetic guy" like One Piece's Franky, but by reading that wall of text of yours I think I've heard the passion you put in your argument, as always. About 70% of what I post usually here is for brainless joes or 'Loid moaning...

If there is something that lead me to Taiko games at the point I am today, that is this wonderful group of people around here. It's very satisfying to talk about something you just discovered with someone, no matter how far is the knowledge/skill distance between us, as well as the "intensity of passion" for the subject by each of us (this applies for almost everything, even outside rhythm games range!). And by sharing thought and feelings (and gibberish) about Taiko, Bemani and the rest we are slowly growing in number here, as well as landing in different music scenarios. But hey, most important, we've made it without "forcing the passions" in sorta contrived ways! (at least, that's what I think about)

And besides, if it wasn't for this gigantic thread, I would probably stuck with Wii 2, passing the days by clearing early Oni modes and thinking about how awesome is Akuukan Yuuei ac12.5, haha

Nope the artbook is with tricoro OST only if you bought it from konamistyle. I'm waiting on my orders, and I have a spare copy so if nobody picks up the spare copy before it gets shipped to me I'll upload HQ scans of the artbook. If someone picks it up I guess you guys will be getting pictures instead.

I can also get you guys the two remix downloads from that 3CD set, again once the thing ships to me (probably sometime within the next two weeks).
