Be more careful when using repeating sliders. You're really killing the flow. A majority of the time stacks are better than just putting a 3 repeat slider.(or in my eyes, stacks are always better, unless you're trying to make an easy or normal but even then I wish I never did that for some of my maps. Mysterious Mountain for one.) I prefer only stacking to confuse the heck out of players, and if I made more streams, I'd prefer calling the diff insane and making the whole thing harde. Plus my hards are mostly about confusing stuff if I made the notes large![]()
00:20:26 (1) - ends in the opposite direction the map is moving the slider direction from the note before was heading down, so this is heading down, but I'll change it >_> not that it really matters much
00:24:76 (4) - be careful of increasing repeats like this. due to music~ and its not hard, why would you let go sooner anyways?
00:31:13 (3) - These two sliders(3 and 7) are why cuz I don't want streams or stacks
00:32:26 (7) - ^ Honestly a stream would be less disorienting, I broke here and I did the stream after with all 300s. watch the next approach circle, don't just let go...
00:45:01 (1) - well since you already got me scared shitless of repeating sliders this just feels odd since it ends way early before the beat is even close. It felt odd when the repeat was longer (cuz of the pace..?)
00:56:26 (3) - seriously, just use stacks. JUST USE STACKS. rawr, style conflict
00:59:26 (2) - this one doesn't even really follow a beat Think of it as my own beat for the combo before the break
01:38:45 (7) - hnnnngggggggg arg?
01:41:26 (2,3) - Ok 3 repeats, OH SHIT IT'S 5 You let go too soon >_>
01:46:70 (1,2,3) - These don't even go with the song :I -looks at insane's streams-
01:48:57 (2,3,4) - It's all cool and all but I don't even feel it's hitting with the important notes. there are two guitars to follow in this part... I just made own beats instead (one was too slow to follow, and other was too fast

I don't really understand how the spinner can be too fast for a Normal. For an Easy, I can understand. But whatever, I just removed it and added a break. Yay, no spinners in my map.

I am not criticizing the song. What I mean is that the map is not particularly enjoyable to play, nor does it seem to particularly flow with the song. My honest opinion of the song is that it sounds professionally done, but what I'm judging here is the MAP, hence my being on the beatMAP approval team, rather than the SONG approval team. For that matter, your star priority argument is fairly flawed based on the fact that the priority system favors popularity more than rankability.Ketchup wrote:

I personally spent the last two weeks working with each of the mappers to ensure a quality mapping project.
I wrote the music (it took me over 2 weeks to perfect it before the mapping ever began).
I have spent hours upon hours arguing with myself over which notes most fit the feeling I wanted to convey with this music.
I take great offense to "this is soulless".
I appreciate your opinion of the maps but that is all I see. I am confident that after so many stars (8 now from bats, and 1 from YOU), this map is ready to be ranked. Why would you star a map and then say "I wouldn't want to rank this"??.
I see mostly objective bias with no real constructive criticism, and I do not appreciate that, but otherwise I hope you enjoyed the song.
