I just tried downloading with a different browser, and it works fine now. I also tried changing my wine prefix, whatever that is, and I don't know if that helped or anything. But I've got it working now, hope it works for the rest of everybody that is having this problem!
Is this version of osu! for Mac OS X compatible with Leopard (10.5.8)?

I can't tell you how happy i'm when i see osu! runing on my retina macbook pro.
But the fps is limited to 60(and it works perfect at 60).But I can't get used to it anyway.
I 've tried options in game but it dosen't work.
And the mouse's movement is so wired.

Mouse movement being weird, and frame rate being limited is something that is unavoidable in OS X. The input latency on OS X and general mouse acceleration curve is inherently bad.
Is it possible to upload beatmaps on this version? There's no file header :L
what about the new chrome book can it run osu!
Hi peppy, I have a problem running Osu! Everytime I open it up, after the update screen, i click the "start osu!' button and then nothing happens. I waited for about 20 minutes and nothing happened, so i rebooted osu! and the same thing happened. Help Please.
:< everytime I play, my mouse cursor icon for the Mac is below the osu cursor so in order to play i have to go lower as the point of focus in playing should be the osu cursor. Can you please fix this and also when I play maps the mouse speed gets slower.
This is the second time this has happened that my osu just suddenly stops working, I click to open it the light appears and it bounces one on the dock h=then just turns off the light then just goes back as though I never tried to start it

I've seen that site. They have promiosed the fix for many months and have yet to present anything tangible. I don't have any faith in the short-term - especially as they are looking to commercialise on it.

Hi all my mac keeps crashing for OSu everytime i launch a song. Please help keeps saying osu encountered an error
Osu! worked fine the first time I opened it, but now it doesn't open at all and doesn't give me any messaged.

I had the same problem and wrote a topic about it which I got no answer on, BUT I found out what was the cause:
First upgrade your Mac to the latest version. After you've done that you update X11 on your computer, when you've done that It should be working like a charm again. I tried everything and that solved the trick.

And a question to PEPPY while we're at it 
Is it so that you can, basically, only play Osu! with Mouseacc set to 1,0? Because when I try any different mouseacc it glitches massively. It goes REALLY fast one sec, and the other sec REALLY slow, and keeps on doing that all the time in a rythm. But when you set it to 1,0 it has the same acc all the time.
Should it be like that?

osu doesnt work for me >.< it always says the application wine quit unexpectedly.. >.< how to fix this ??
I want my friends to play osu with me but their using mac and they always get this problem: They cant import beatmaps.They use OS X 10.8 and they cant find the winePrefix file and they only have the tutorial song.
You need to find the "Songs" folder in your directory, it doesn't really matter how you get therezzblackangelzz wrote:

usually its in the 'osu' folder (Go to applications, right click on the osu icon, then click on 'show package contents').. the picture is just an example
I changed the circle skin in the mac version and it doesnt play now, I have re downloaded but now i have to re dl my songs 
Yes you just need to drag them into the game but you need to restart it for them to work
Is anyone else having trouble getting the background to appear for some songs? I'm having that issue as well as problems loading skins.
I did not have a wine prefix i did have a song folder in an osu folder that was listed below the contents folder when i put the beatmaps there it shows up on the song list but it does not play
Yeah, the storyboarding for the tutor, OR ANY OTHER SONG WITH VIDEO OF STORYBOARDING doesn't work.

I play this on my 15in macbook pro and it works great sometimes, however the recent update/patches have made it to where it likes to freeze VERY often.. im not sure what happened but i have to open the force quit the app and start it over again. it still plays and runs fine, but the freezing is ridiculous
I have the same problem and after i force quit to get out i end up breaking the game and need to download and reinstall it again
So I completely deleted everything on osu and removed the replays and song so i can just insert them all back in instead of re-downloading them,I uninstalled osu because it was having problems and then I am trying to re-download it through this,thank you so freakn much it worked perfectly now osu is back to it's normal self! Well I'd say the only difference is that jumps seem to be easier.
If anyone else is or experiencing accuracy problems i would suggest changing the universal offset to 5ms, maybe 7
It bug out 2/3 of the time on my mac, why? And most of the time it just quit itself before it even open completely! Is there any way that I may fix this or this is one of the bug?
i tried to intall here in my osx 10.6.8 and was slow to open than appeared a crash AND dont launched anymore T_T
