It may be so, but I'm fine with it, somehow. I know that now I feel much better about myself than a couple years ago when I just copied everything. I don't need to think too hard about it: whatever works works. You might say it's a bit of "ignorance is bliss", but today I'm just happy about life in general, and I would never trade that for anything else.
I don't want to claim that I don't want to be part of the masses; that would only enlarge the mass of people who don't want to be part of the masses.

I wasn't talking about genetic defects.

It's just that you end up increasing allele frequency within your own family, I think this is called genetic drift or some shit. This isn't bad by itself but if it happens population-wide over many generations, you can see some weird effects in the gene pool.

Basically as far as genetics are concerned, we are instinctively oriented toward finding people different from ourselves (Opposites attract) because people are stronger genetically when their dna does not match. This goes for medical and emotional stuffs. The ones you are the most similar to is naturally your family because you share so much your body automatically is not attracted because of that fact coupled with the morality factor we have been taught to know. So to people incest is seen as wrong because it defies the natural order.

That's why most organisms don't prefer to reproduce with relatives. The whole "finding a mate" business.

Yeah, well I'm not so much worried about that genetics shit because it's not like most of the time when incest happens, a baby is born. Or at least I don't force myself to believe it that way. All it matters is that you love who you love in my opinion.

Supposedly you become attracted to people that resemble parental figures you lacked. If your mother was wonderful but your dad is bad then you apparently become attracted to people that resemble your father (not physically) because your mind still craves that attention. At least that is what I've read. Psychology is such a grey area.
