I have watched an animated version of a series, the comic version and am now reading the light novel version of it only because the ending didn't please me.
Also when I read or watch fiction, I have a tendency to hate popular characters only to not feel like "everyone else" and know it is a very stupid philosophy to go by. It's one of the reasons why I wouldn't admit that I like Skrillex's music. I think that originates from my youth when I used to copy everything my brother would do and one day realized that I had no personality. That is also the reason why I sport an hexagon I made myself as an avatar instead of "generic anime girl": I feel horrible if my stuff isn't original.
If anyone knows a remedy for hipsterisis, I'll gladly take it.
