I'm contemplating on buying skyrim right now. My luck the game will go 50% off sometime during the sale so i'm going to wait till the last day. =\
This is my first steam sale since I got an account. And I have to say, I'm rather overwhelmed. Most of the stuff they have on sale I really want. But I'm trying to control myself and not buying all the things that I'm even remotely interested in.

It's an entertaining game for sure, worth the $10. I personally haven't 'finished' it yet but as far as I can tell it goes on for as long as you want (ie sandbox).

New deals are pretty meh imo... I got Star Wars KotOR since everyone loves it and it's crazy cheap. Also wanted Sam & Max 3 and Dead Island, but they're not cheap enough for me right now.
I was going to buy Ys: Origin at full price, but completely forgot until it popped up on sale. Now I feel bad about buying it at that price.

Got Sam and Max complete and I'm contemplating getting KoTOR as well. Not sure if I would want to play it though. And I heard from someone that it has trouble on Windows 7.
Orcs Must Die is $3.74 today (or $4.99 with the DLCs). I bought when it was on sale last year, and I definitely recommend it.
I've actually managed to restrain myself much better than previous sales this time around; all I've bought so far is the Binding of Isaac DLC (it was like $0.70).

Isn't Orcs Must Die 2 coming out on the 30th? Last I checked that one actually had co-op. Seems silly to buy the first game now.

£9.11 left in my wallet now after buying Dragon Age Origins this morning. Just a few more games I'm still waiting for, even though I don't have enough to afford them all.
Didn't even notice the DA Origins flash sale this afternoon. Thankfully I made it with an hour and a bit left haha

DA:O is a great game, enjoy. Be sure to check out the available mods first. Things like breakable locks (with a chance to lose the containing loot) and auto-looting are must-haves.

Killing Floor is like L4D2 but goofier, faster paced, and more about stupid fun. imo it's more fun
and I'd say yeah it's more fun multiplayer but still holds its own solo

Yeah KF is the better game by far, though I disagree with how you described it, Killing Floor is much slower paced than Left 4 Dead.
I never got the KF hype. It's boring as shit, especially compared L4D(2).
Imagine UT2004, change the weapons with ones that shoot actual bullets. Make everything slow and sluggish. Add scary monsters. Bam, you have KF.

It was 75% off earlier, you missed your chance to get it cheaper. But keep in mind that you failed in the demo, now that you know the game better, if you actually get it, you'll probably do better. That's what happened to me.
