Pasonia could feel the game change a little more as the days go by, but so does everyone. He took the trouble to personally inspect all the sleeping men and women, taking care to only look only enough to verify their lifeforce.

And then, he noticed that the one boy with a permanent snarl on his face felt different.

"Grr..."

Pasonia watched on.

"Go before they spot you."

The wolves took their cue fast, and scampered away.

"I knew it," said SFG.
"I knew it," said Wojjan.
"I knew it too," muttered Derekku Chan.

Not quite right. Pasonia dragged out 0_o for show. Dead.

(I don't know what possessed you guys to think you hadn't got a kill, wolfies.)

Pasonia looked on. He knew something was wrong the moment the day broke.
"This is bad. This is becoming really bad now... I think some of you guys have realised what's going on for now, but for those who don't know it,

I can barely feel my power being intact," growled Pasonia. "Yukari, why don't you just go away!"
"Chasing an unidentified object, mate. It's giving us here a problem."
"Oh yea? Now the special people here are also having their problems! You're practically disturbing my game!

Pasonia growled, against the heavy rocking of the table. There goes the remains of the breakfast.

Pasonia was aware that the siege had dragged on for a tag too long, and that his initial agreement with the government was starting to wear out.
"Ugh, if only it didn't have to come to this..."

But the military wouldn't take no for an answer, and around 5:00AM the forces - consisting of two Abram tanks, 3 battalions (exactly the size that almost took down Pasonia on his last trip) and a single element of commandos were knocking at the doors of the Mall.

"Pasonia, what's AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUGH!!!!!!"

Pasonia swore the wolves really didn't know where to pick a spot to kill someone, and promptly gave the wolf a major kick in the ass.

"Jeez!" He looked over to Wojjan's slumped body, now apparently dead. Not unlike some time ago, Wojjan was also stabbed clean in the heart, but this one was pretty violent; Pasonia's clothing were all splattered with the kid's blood.

"...General Traynor, I thought we had a deal? Oh fuck you, I--- what? Uh-huh. You better make sure this is right, or I will personally come over and raise hell in the Pentagon if anything fucks up around here. Yes. Sure thing. You better be sure this is only for the day."

Pasonia clicked the tone off button.

"What's this," foulcoon snickered. "Someone died before me?"
"Yea, someone died before you," blurted Pasonia lazily. Wojjan's a slump on the floor now with his life force oozing out slowly.
"Damned. I was thinking maybe I'd die a tad--- OOOOOF!"
"You shut it and listen," Pasonia wrangled foulcoon and choked him high up on a wall again. "And the same is for you guys. I've just received word from Commander of the Army, GEN Traynor Baxter. He wants me to nominate more than one person to lynch, so I have only two choices for you guys today.

Never mind Phantom Votes today. If you do not vote, you will die and you will be out of the game immediately. Any Priest resurrection will NOT work on you if this is the case.

In other news...

Two woke up, groggy and wobbly. He remembered everything deathly and clearly.
Now, he has been granted another chance at this game called life, and to announce it he sprang an ambush on a terrified SFG.

That was when he realised that his clothing had rotted away, and basically cops and army boys are pointing their guns at his streakin' ass. He quickly made for the Shopping Center, ransacking the stores for suitable clothing.

Two is now alive and back with voting rights.

um, actually even if youd killed the priest before he rez'd another person we still had a 70% chance of winning with the info i had collected. so yeah the game was won when i broke it with my hax abilities, the priest stuff only increased the odds by the last 30%

Pas broke it by not thinking through the rules of the game beforehand. It's pretty obvious the game breaks if the Priest can revive more than once.

It was never obvious to me. Believe me when I say this. I've always thought of the Priest's role as being rechargable. Besides, I hosted this game with near-zero contextual knowledge of the Priest role, so this is one mistake.

However, stop putting the hate on me already. I've had enough of being jeered because I got the rules wrong; dare you say you don't ever make mistakes? Buzz off on that.

The game wasn't broken from the rules of it, but by the fact that I already knew echo and foulcoon were wolves at the beginning of the game, then SFG found out the rest. You guys are really bad at this.

I have thought long and hard about this, and I have come to the following conclusions.

1. As a result of your whining, foulcoon, which I can no longer tolerate, today's round will only lead to a MODKILL of you by me (every message starting from the last one), even if the vote swings another way by some freak stroke of miracle. Additionally, as you have proven incompetent of STFUing even after repeated warnings by the Host, also public badgering of the Host on #forumshit and here on at least two separate occasions, you will be banned from future Werewolf Games hosted by myself until I find you mature enough to not whine and cry about the game.

Reasoning: If you can't stand losing, don't play the game. The Host is always right, the players are always wrong. This should be the way and will be the way from next game onwards.

In lieu of a ban, you may contact me via forum PM with a properly-worded apology. I don't think I'm asking for too much.

2. As a further precaution, I will once again reduce the player size to sixteen on the third game (as in the first game).

3. The third game is slated to enter registration phase in approximately 2 weeks' time (i.e. the week of 20th July), with a full week of registration open and players free to question any of the rules set before the end of the game.

4. Due to point 3, it is painfully obvious that I am enforcing the "Host is right, player is wrong" rule, so any future disputes will be resolved by me, the Host, and my decision is not to be disputed and is regarded as final., carrying the penalty of a modkill on the day any protests occur.

I am hosting this game to the best of my ability, but repeated badgering and questioning me like I'm a convict is beginning to take a toll, both in the way I talk to people on #osu, and my other commitments. While I accept constructive criticism, flaming is out of the question and I should have taken steps to prevent this from occurring in the first place.

5. This game is still a go until the end. I do not accept "this is pointless" remarks and I will kill such messages on sight, starting by locking posts. No public disorder kthx.

Pasonia sighed. Despite his clearly-worded warnings, there were the dissidents and the undecided amidst the remaining survivors. That made it all the more clearer who is found wanting and who will be dead.

Oddly enough, one of them also requested a death, instead of actively trying to avoid it. Pasonia stared on with nonchalance as he finished reading through all the requests; apparently some people just cannot avoid high tension.

In the Town Square, he clearly announced the names of the people who were spared the guns, and those men were later laser-tagged by the soldiers as friendlies.

"Mr. Pasonia, I appreciate your working with the government forces. I'm sorry it had to come to this."

Pasonia returned the stare blankly. Then with rage, he slapped the soldier around with a large trout out of hammerspace.

"If you were sorry, you guys won't develop the serum in the first place."

The gunshots rattled on in the streets. It was a horrible sight to watch five people running for their lives, getting caught in the gunfire, as the Marines clamped down hard on them and viewing them as criminals to the gun instead of civilians.

"Sick bastards," cursed supergarlic.
"I agree with you," replied Pasonia.

At the end of the day, the bodies of m980, Olinad, Agent Spin Here, Saturos-fangirl and the vote-leading foulcoon were all found dead, lying in separate locations all over the Town Square area. The troops marched back, satisfied that they were rid of some menace.

"I thoroughly hate the military for doing this," spat Pasonia. "But, a job to be done is a job to be done, and now...
It's Night 6..
Do the necessary. I'm very tired of talking about this."

Due to a slight, the Night is extended for a bit, until 12AM local time (12 hours from now).

Additionally, since we're left with so little people, Day-Night cycles are shorted to 1 Day and 12 hours respectively.

Pasonia woke up to the sound of the bird chirping on the seventh day of chaos. Then he realised it's been a full week already. By now, most of the remaining seven have gotten over their shock of the death. It's like an evil addiction that grows on people, and Pasonia truly worried for the mental health of everybody.

"It's not even normal to kill like it was an act of 'supposition', jeez..."

"Presumably dead," remarked Two as he casually munched a pretzel on the breakfast table - everyone's perishables were about to go and the pretzels shouldn't stay. "Let's not give this a damn, shall we?"

Pasonia's worries weren't unfounded after all, it seems. He wished the day would end quicker, but it just wouldn't.

Dusk quickly arrived, since the decision was made pretty swiftly by the remaining people on the game.

"Today's kill will be a bit specialised," remarked Pasonia. "The government should know now NEVER to mess with my games."

Quietly, the Host signalled for everyone to stay away from Derekku Chan, who wasn't too sure why everyone was backing away from him. Then he noticed a shimmer in the sky, and thought that to be an answer of heaven.

"Oh..."

KABOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Within the flash of an eye, a beam of light descended on Derekku, obliterating the whole of the town square. Everyone else could only watch, some wide-eyed, at how Derekku was taken.

"Oh fuck, I overdid this," Pasonia cried while slapping his palm on his head. "Now they're going to come after me for utilising too many satellites."

(Derekku Chan is dead and out of the game.)

"Additionally, guess what?
It's night time now. Night 7 has arrived.
The next day will come as soon as the wolf kill is confirmed."

Somewhere in the rubbish dump

Pasonia stared on at Two, who fell down into the rubbish dump in an exceptional manner. Apparently, he was killed before he was thrown off, but this is just plain ridiculous.

"Legs in the air, head in the rubbish, sticking out like a sore thumb," went a descriptive by Pasonia. "Now we have, uhh... five left."

(Two is dead, out of the game.)

Everyone began looking left and right of themselves, trying not to meet Pasonia's gaze directly.

"Day 8 begins now.
Put your votes down asap.
The day ends at 12AM Sunday local time (14 hours from this post) since we only have five four people left."

"Real right there, boss," quipped YellowYoshi1.
"So what happens next?"

Pasonia cocked a handgun at thepianist, then fires it, point blank.

"This," Pasonia blurted. We're into the eight night, the night of truth.

"I hope you guys know this. If someone dies tonight, the wolf will kill. If nobody dies tonight, then hoorah.
It's Night 8 now, so I hope you DON'T sleep for your own sake."

For Night 8, it's a tad special. All of the remaining players will have to reply here for Night 8 in order to trigger the Results post, which will appear in 8 hours' time or until everyone has responded, whichever is slower.

"So, the humans have won."
"Indeed, sir, although it seems forced."
"It didn't matter anymore. Key in the records into the system. I'd like to see how this system continues."

"Go ahead."

"Sir, based on this game I have discovered a few matters.

One, the Host did not ensure that the Seer role was covered. This resulted in confusion for the human team, which I feel was unnecessary.

Two, the Priest that "happened" to be in this round of lynching... is too powerful. Perhaps we should find a Miracle-Worker instead, one who can't summon their powers as often as they think they'd like.

Three, all who go against the Host should be banished immediately. Problems one of the wolf gave severely derailed the game's momentum and caused a huge loss of interest, and I believe that while the wolf is solely to blame for matters degrading to such a situation, the Host should have prevented it from occuring."

"Is that all? They're valid points you raised, though. I will see to that."
"Yes, sir."

Okay, that's a wrap.

We've reached the end of the game.

A few things to note from me.

I am thoroughly dissatisfied at the dissent raised at me throughout the game. I do believe I've done my best to rescue the game, but ultimately the interest waned partly because players weren't interested in a broken game and I wasn't interested in players who weren't interested. I weeded out the players because of that reason.

I do hope that you guys realise that while I would like more than anybody to Host well, I am human too. Perhaps it is my fault for not considering what Ace considered before, but I am not a robot and I am capable of making mistakes. I am also intolerant to repeated jabs that question my intelligence, as per what a certain player had kept doing to me on two different platforms.

Last word: Despite the shit, I'm still going to host WW4, slated for next week. The ball's in the courts of you guise now.

This thread will be locked for posterity next week when the Official Rules Discussion Phase begins, so you guys who've played this game (or at least knew it) may speak your mind here until then.

I didn't actually think there was much wrong with the game. I liked the fast pace of it because it doesn't feel like it's being dragged out with really long day and night sessions.

Concerning the Priest, it does seem a tad unfair to let them revive a person once every day/night cycle. I'd either suggest just making it the "one time only deal" or finding a happy medium, maybe giving a large "cooldown" time to the ability, perhaps 2 days? It would add a lot to the strategy and the priest would have to think a fair bit more than just "lets revive someone yay".

That's really my only concern, everything else has been fine, other than the lack of participation from a number of people. I don't disagree with you killing them off though, there's no point in there being phantom votes for so many people so often. It was rather ridiculous that even after you sent everyone a PM about the game that there were still so many people that just didn't even post. Mmm...

I will say that I'm probably too dumb for this game, it's good that SFG took me under her group for the majority of it.

I like the fast pace, but people need to ACTUALLY participate in discussion. The first couple days were fine, but after that it went downhill. lrn2discusspeopleplz

Not sure whether I'll join WWG4 or not. I'd like to, but I'm getting behind in working on maps and other real life obligations so I dunno :<

Contrary to what you might think SFG, the cause of the drama wasn't you to begin with.

Let me comment about some of our players here.

SFG probably had the best analytical skills out of all the humankind players here, and to that end I thought Echo should've been able to find a way to stop the tide that is obviously headed his way. On the other hand, Larto only ever hit a handful of unimportant aux roles before his death (FYI, Larto, you hit the guy-with-a-shotgun), and the apathy to the game suffered by his team due to the fucking up of foulcoon was totally unnecessary and only served to kill the wolf team. In fact, what foulcoon did was what Singaporeans would call "sabo'ing the entire team", sabo being a shortening of the word "sabotage".

I am determined to not let this happen again in any games I host.

I'm gonna disagree and say that while it was not entirely her fault, she did cause some drama because she was too fucking good at the game. She managed to wrangle the rules in her favor before the wolves were really able to raise a protest and by the time the wolves (and some of the humans) DID protest, it was too late to reverse your decision. I'm not trying to be rude or offensive but you did make a mistake in changing the rules based on one person's words, and while the wolves had a variety of factors against them, this was one of them.

to be fair, the people modkilled on Day...5 was it? at least was partly set up to neatly counter the multiple resurrections.

that said im still more than a little upset about being called a cheater (mostly) for being too good at this game ESPECIALLY considering that said "cheating" was both later cancelled out and would have done little to affect the outcome of the game anyways.
