As far as free games go, osu! is as good as it gets imo.
Though I enjoyed Spiral Knights, I can see it getting old after a little while.

I'm surprised Team Fortress 2 (and possibly others from Steam) isn't on the list. (Correct me if I'm wrong here, I only checked the first page)
Tetroid 2012 is also another good free game I'd recommend, if you wouldn't mind the experimental music (?) and the constant flashes. And no, it was made a few years ago, not in 2012. Airmech is in the beta right now and it is gaining some popularity =] Its free and extremely fun imo the only free game as good as osu

I have to say N+ is really great, i just got around playing it again some weeks ago due to bad internet, and i'm almost finished with it. Surprisingly, i haven't broken anything (yet) while playing it :O
Oh also, another scary game, check out IB. I don't know if this has already been posted but i just played through it and loved the atmosphere and creepiness. Well worth a few hours of your time.
