My point is this:
You are 5th and get the blue shell, you shoot it and it hits the 1st but you don't get anything. It only helps people on 2nd or 3rd place.
It only helps you if you are lucky enough to hit the 2nd and 3rd (maybe 4th) with the explosion of the shell.
I don't know if it is possible to get the blue shell as 4th but i guess 5th is the best position for that.
Even worse if you get BS as 8th.
It is my opinion and i have no problems with yours but i guess it is impossible to convince me that the BS is useful.
It is just a passive item which only helps people a few places behind the 1st but not the guy who gets it.

Well atleast you can abuse the bullet bill in the "Wii Mushroom idk the english name ^^" if you using it in the right moment before the end of the track where all the many mushrooms you have to jump/glide other, it won't end until the final curve before the goal :3

I'm too lazy to get that many coins, and I can't do that "other" way to unlock everything... I also can't be bothered to play MK7 unless there's a kartparty going on, and Worldwide isn't as fun for me since I can't chat against my opponents...
I've already achieved 10 000 Coins and got the Golden Glider, now I just need 10 000 VR to get the Gold Kart and I believe i'm complete.
I'm sitting on a little over 5000 so I have all the non-golden parts. Which is enough for me. I'll leave the driving the gaudy blingmobiles to you guys.
And I only generally race Worldwide when a friend or two is around racing too. I will very occasionally go solo though and just hope someone hooks on.

I have the gold wheels from getting a star rank on all the cups but trying to unlock all the parts seems like it would take too long. The 10 coin limit in a single race and the fact that coins collected in Time Trial don't add to your coin total certainly doesn't make things any quicker either.

It is kind of crazy how much work is required to unlock everything. I have something like 60-70 hours logged on the game yet there are parts I don't have (golden parts)... I only hit 5000 coins recently.

I think the whole mirror thing is based on the relative VR of the contestants. For instance, if the majority of people have like, 2000 VR or something, it might bump it up to a higher level, like 150cc, or mirrored or something.

When I first saw it it only happened rarely, but now it seems like it happens every other race. o.o I'm trying to climb up to 9999 VR and it's happened more and more, so perhaps it does happen depending on VR
Recently tried the Grand Prix of the Miis I got via StreetPass and discovered that beating the cup earns you a kart part if the Mii you're racing against is using a part you don't have. I'm not sure if this applies to the gold parts as well though.
Yeah, I read about that. I doubt it'd apply to the Gold parts, or else I'd probably see just about everyone on Worldwide with less than 10k VR have them.

Steering the glider with gyro controls is a pain in the ass.
I can't figure out if we use the circle pad or gyro controls to ascend or descend... They both look the same (not that I can tell since I can't see behind me >_>).
