I'm not sure if Ivalset dying kills the point I was making about mafia killing the people they picked roles for.

I doubt they would of picked a Bodyguard over a Role Cop for the kill N1 if they had knew Ivalset was one.

That still doesn't explain why whoever chose Rantai's role didn't want to say who they were.

Two rolecops gone in one day/night period is bad though, and there is still pieguy who is left lingering for a possible kill tonight.

Who did you scan pieguy? Don't say the role unless it's something like roleblocker.

I don't see how Sync being town makes pieguy mafia.

Sync was bad, outed a cop and got himself lynched as a cop.

It's interesting that's you're willing to lynch a cop though, especially after we just lost two and he listed more than just him.

I defended pieguy from Sync's terrible scum logic, and now I'm defending him from yours.

There is no reason why anyone associated with town would want someone who is a confirmed cop lynched at this point.

If the lynch passes through and pieguy is actually town, dkun is next.

I'd also like to point out that dkun has made a whopping 7 posts in this game.

One to join, one to clarify he meant pieguy. So essentially 5 posts. Let's break this down..

1.) Reading "rest assured", nothing to say.
2.) Calling Wojjan scum, asking if not contributing makes him scum?
3.) Respond to prod, offer no insight on anything.
4.) 3 posts at the beginning of D3 trying to get the last known cop lynched.

That's a worse ISO than even Sync had, and now you're trying to push a lynch on a cop too.

Plus rolecop might not be that beneficial anyways if the roles are not correlated with alignments, and scum can just straight-out claim their role and never have it disproved. If I properly understood how this game works.

About the same thing I was going to say. Rolecop is "almost" useless in this game. In addition, someone's role being confirmed has almost nothing to do with keeping them around. I say almost, because there are certain roles which might be good to risk keeping around.


I honestly can't think of a good use for rolecop, aside from minor speculation, or gambits.


I'm still suspicious of Mashley.

Obviously do to potential doctor/watcher that would target pieguy considering he is.. you know, a confirmed cop.

The only way pieguy is mafia is if the person who picked Ivalset's role isn't (or there is ANOTHER cop).

also yes akrolsmir, that's how the game works.

It's true that a Role Cop isn't the most useful role, but I don't see how that implies it's worth lynching him. On the other hand, a role cop is extremely beneficial to Mafia.

At least let him say who he scanned before he gets rushed to a hammer if this is who everyone's deciding to kill.

I still want dkun lynched tomorrow if he's town, especially since he went right for the rolecop and not for Mashley/Foulcoon, then defending "logic" that wasn't even there.

I think that roles were chosen before alignment, but alignment was random.

Really it makes no difference either way if alignment is random.

The first night I checked Wojjan. The second night I checked Mashley.

I agree, dkun just seems like he's looking for an easy lynch at this point, despite not having contributed anything all game. I'm not sure who else is mafia though. :?

That post was made in jest. My next post clearly says that I voted Sync because he targeted pieguy for being a rolecop using some weird logic that pieguy's a rolecop thus he's possible to be mafia. His flip makes it even more retarded, since he's a god damn rolecop himself. Pile that with his actions for the other days and that's my reason.

I feel like now is a good time to bring up two mistakes I've made so that they don't further impact anything later on.

1. Applicable secret santa lists should have read "1-shot targetable Encryptor (1-shot as in it establishes a permanent chat link to another player)"

2. Bodyguard was chosen for Sync instead of Role Cop (he actually was a role cop though that wasn't a typo). It got mixed up somehow, but I am pretty confident there was no collateral damage.

1. "flinches like crazy when called out" - I don't really see where this happened, on either being called out or flinching. Just read the ISO a minute ago. Mind linking me to where this happened?

2. "lists a rolecop as people he'd rather see lynched than himself." - Does this matter? Being a rolecop isn't being confirmed town. I've already stated my opinions on the rolecop role in this setup as well.

Then again, if I read the ISO correctly, he's been on you for a while now, seems to be that you're the most suspicious to him. Then, he votes you since he can't see any other leads. That seems pretty normal play to me.

why would a townie say "don't lynch me lynch a rolecop" either foul is scum and he wants town rolecop cleared up before he dies, or foul is scum bussing a teammate because he knows mafia have another rolecop regardless.

@ninjapost: A townie would say "don't lynch me" because they're town. A townie would provide a rolecop as a lynch target because they think that player is scum. In this game rolecop (as I said) I believe is almost useless. Again, if rolecop isn't confirmed town and (again, in my opinion) virtually useless, how is "I think X is scum." where X is a player who is rolecop, a thing that's anti-town?

Mmk, so there's a flinch, which has nothing to do with being called out. Unless you're implying that lurkers being called out was him being called out, and that's how he flinched to it.

It's scummy when there are two other people with unconfirmed roles and they are ignored like their names weren't listed by Sync.

That's the entire reason I was calling out dkun.

There is a difference between saying "I think X is scum" and "X is scum confirmed by dead rolecop, lynch them".

.. especially when the person saying it has hardly posted the entire game.

I've been gone for like 3 months, but to me LS's post style (wording, frequency) seems different than what I remember. Also coming to foulcoon's defense like that is pretty... flagrant. I mean, going line by line in reply to an accusation not even leveled at you... Granted there really wasn't much reasoning provided for his bandwagon, but even so let him float or sink for himself unless you have some kind of particular reason to defend him. It's not as if he needed another excuse to lurk more.

That being said, if he doesn't show up in another day I wouldn't mind lynching him. Or Mashley or Mara- they've all been floating by without doing much of anything.

I felt that chris was scum (like Wojjan said) when I was doing a read-through yesterday. I can't recall why though.

bmin I'm voting for mostly for kicking off Sync's lynch. If pieguy is scum (not unlikely) I'd be almost certain he is too.

Well, I feel foul's slightly suspicious but he's explained his workload so fine. The fact that he's been focusing on Wojj for almost the whole game now is odd. dkun's still sticking to his weird logic and is kinda defeatist which I find suspicious and Mara... eh. He's still Mara.
