I think Peppy's right, most songs here would probably be better quality if you just re-made the song.

But seriously, I don't know what amount of time you are using for the cutoff, but I'd like Fear Factory preserved if possible. It's in graveyard instead of pending not because it's incomplete but because it uses an unapproveable gimmick that's kind of cool (cool is subjective but other people have told me they like the map so?). If not though it's no big deal.

1. How long is a long time?
2. Can we get a "make this beatmap downloadable for X months?" checkbox and add a reply if we are the beatmap creator?
3. Is there any way you can detect how much a graved beatmap has been downloaded? If so, you can archive ones that have not been downloaded in x months.

umm, peppy, what kind of pc / internet connection speed one needs to, for example, host some/all disabled maps?

As in host as a mirror? It'd probably require around 20mbit and 2+tb/month quota. And a good 200gb disk space.senaya wrote:

There is also a Graveyarded Beatmap Thread with a collection of high quality/special graved maps. If bats can make graved maps (more) permanent (perhaps by resetting the 2 year mark?) that would be awesome. I'm just a bit worried that some of the best graved maps out there like:Beautiful Day - Toccata & Fugue (Darri Mix) and DJ YOSHITAKA - Evans (Jerrysr) might be forgotten, although these will apparently last into 2012.
Would it be possible for something like a Graveyard Archive? The graveyard serves a purpose and does it well, however there are a number of completed/almost completed maps which are graved due to mapmaking issues or frustration/abandonment from the creator. Anything moved to the archive would be subject to the 10 minute download rule, but wouldn't disappear after 2 years. One bat just needs to move it there. It would also do better than the graveyarded beatmap thread, which is just a poorly organized collection of links.
