00:02:557 - 00:04:957 - 00:07:357 - since you follow the guitar with 00:00:307 (1,2,3,4) - etc, feels more natural if you add notes there

permalink

sure

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

Beat is on 00:04:507 - it is unlike the off-beat the rest are

permalink

sorry what does this one mean?

permalink

does adding notes at 00:04:507 - and 00:04:957 - help?

permalink

it does help but it also makes it quite a long segment. You can add at those parts and remove on 00:04:357

permalink

ohhhhh i see, I didn't realize the intro was different. applied!

00:09:907 (40) - finisher?

permalink

added, along with 01:21:907 and 03:50:707

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:12:307 (57,58,59) - for consistency with the section, i think you should change it to dkd like you did in 00:21:907 -

permalink

already changed to kdd!

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:13:807 (71,72,73,74) - can be more accurate with the guitar and the drum if you make it k d k k

permalink

applied, although modified to kddk to match beginning of song

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:18:457 - this triplet should be in 00:18:757 - for drums, try to move there and change it to kkd

permalink

im not sure if this makes sense musically, but I made the pattern the way it is (1/2 pattern at 00:18:757 (115,116,117) - ) to emphasize the 5 note pattern 00:19:207 (118,119,120,121,122) - more

permalink

i would shift 00:18:457 (112,113,114) - 00:18:757 - for drum emphasis too, the 1/2 at 00:19:057 - is already "emphasis" for the 5 note pattern

permalink

you are so right actually

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:28:432 (192) - consider remove that note, the long patterns should start in 00:28:507 - to be in accordance with the drums

permalink

removed, thanks!

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:28:507 - 01:40:507 - kkddkkk (reverse colour) for first pattern plays more nicely since its surrounded by dons. for second pattern could do something that ends on kat, like ddddkkk but optional

permalink

ur very right

00:29:032 - 01:41:032 - add note for drum similar like what you did at 00:48:232 - ?

permalink

i like the emphasis it gives, as it doesnt end on a finisher like 00:48:232 -

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:29:107 - from this section i think you make something similar i said in #3986552
try to follow the vocal and the drums addind more notes.
add notes here for example: 00:29:857 -, 00:31:957 -, 00:34:357 - , 00:35:707 - , etc.

permalink

added!

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:42:607 - add k for snare similar like 00:35:407 - , 3/2 break feels off

but fine for vocals

permalink

oops but yes

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:42:607 - can add note here to keep flow

permalink

good idea

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:46:057 - k ride 00:46:357 - d kick add for drum? you omitted some drums earlier to emphasize vocal, but there is no vocal here and its like a filler section for the drum so i think it feels better to follow everything in top diff

same for 01:58:057 - 01:58:357 -

permalink

added the d but not the k, i like the gap before those drums for emphasis

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:48:307 -
in this section feels a bit undermapped in some spots that sounds the drums very noticeable
try to add more notes in 00:50:632 - , 00:51:007 -, etc. following a similar sequence like 00:49:057 (312,313,314,315,316,317,318,319) -

permalink

added the triplets mentioned! although still kept density somewhat low because I wanted to focus vocals there

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

00:50:107 (322) - you kept the offbeat of 00:48:757 - so 00:50:107 should be empty

permalink

add on 00:52:657 or remove 00:52:507 (336) -

permalink

hmm this one I only left 00:48:457 - empty because I wanted to emphasize the finisher, the rest of the patterns are still consistent with each other, unless I'm missing something

00:48:307 (311,312,313) - d [] k d
00:50:407 (323,324,325,326) - d d k d

permalink

00:50:107 is just really extra, it would have been better on 00:50:257 or just not there at all because of the vocals + the guitar emphasis

would also still ask to add on 00:52:657

permalink

ok, i applied all of those ^^

permalink

00:50:107 - 00:52:507 - shift 1/2 later for vocal emphasis?

00:55:807 or 00:55:507 - any of these feel more like finisher parts compared to 00:57:907 (368) - tbh

permalink

00:55:507 (355) - made a finisher, along with other similar patterns in the map
00:57:907 (368) - the vocal's pause justifies the finisher imo

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

01:08:707 -
02:20:707 -
these drum fills could have been mapped more closely, which means increasing the density at the part where the drums pick up. you did something similar in 03:36:307 and i'd say it is something worthy of being highlighted

permalink

hmm i only did the high density pattern at 03:36:307 because that drum section is the highlight of the song basically, its not heard in the other two kiais so i didn't add it

permalink

its clearly hearable in all the kiais for me so consider applying the suggestion to these too

01:19:357 - note here? similar to other kiais

permalink

02:31:507 (1043) -
03:48:307 (228) -

The accompaniment still serves the function of a chorus. Therefore, the sudden drop in density here gives an unnatural impression.

At the very least, it would be better to have this level of density.
Example (1st Chorus)
01:19:807 - add k, 01:19:957 - add k, 01:20:257 - add d, 01:20:557 - add d

permalink

added, thank you!

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

01:19:507 - I don't see much sense in this sv, it would be much better if you keep the same sv value until 01:20:707 -

permalink

sure, removed from all kiais

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

01:20:707 - could shift this sv line to 01:20:857 - , looks cleaner to have the finisher on the same speed as the previous notes imo
same for 02:32:707 - 03:49:507 -

permalink

applied by creating new timing points

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

01:41:107 - section here needs a buff, id recommend improvising some 1/4s to help bump up the density to contrast with the section after

permalink

wait wha it doesn't have many 1/4s because its quieter than the section after which creates the contrast no

permalink

section after referring to 01:50:707 -
01:41:107 - has constant open hihats (?) so it feels a bit more busy
though this is just nitpicking, if you just want to maintain the density between these 2 its ok

permalink

how do you guys hear that stuff..........

permalink

ill just keep it consistent for now, as it is the same for the other diffs. dont think the hihats make a significant difference in the section

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

just kidding i added 2

permalink

01:47:107 - if you map this, then map 01:49:507 - if not map neither of them?

permalink

removed 01:47:107 - and altered patterns near it to fit

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

01:58:657 (811) - shift to 01:58:357 - where snare is vs nothing in song

permalink

applied

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

this section of the song 02:07:507 - repeat the same structure like 00:55:507 - , with the difference there are more instrumental and drums in 02:09:307 -
i would suggest make a similar structure for consistency (you can vary with the notes to follow the vocal) and try to follow the drums in 02:09:307 -

permalink

gotcha! added a 7 note drum roll there and filled in some 1/2 gaps

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

02:11:107 - dont sv the barline and only the notes after

permalink

ok, pushed back that barline by 1 ms

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

just kidding moved to 02:11:407 -

permalink

02:11:407 (894) - remove this finisher? not representing anything

permalink

ye removed, that finisher isnt there for any of the other diffs idk how it got there...

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

02:11:407 - 03:28:207 - really subjective but i think it would be cool if you did a sv transisition with x0.95 -> x1.00 -> x1.05 -> x1.10

permalink

yeah that is really cool! added!

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

02:30:157 - 03:46:957 - add notes to be consistent with 01:18:157 - , with 1/1 break these feel noticebly sparser then 1st kiai

permalink

done

02:45:607 - note for vocal?

permalink

applied, added for muzu as well

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

02:53:107 - can probably shift this sv forward to be a bit more readable

permalink

#4124796/11010327
i like the emphasis it puts on the tick

permalink

ok

03:00:307 (1) - spinner here feels out of place when there really isn't anything it builds on and there isn't anything for it to lead up to or is need for any anticipation. Either map it out or leave it blank

permalink

03:05:107 (1) - also not needed imo

permalink

removed the first spinner, but second spinner still fits the hum sound in the song imo

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:06:307 - add a 0.6x sv for the barlines?
same idea for these 03:25:507 -

permalink

yes, changed to 0.7, also added it for the break at 02:33:907 -

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:09:907 - ~ 03:19:507 -

the 1/3 doublets like 03:10:407 (6,7) - or 03:12:807 (16,17) - feel like they were improvised, but really the first note there is no apparent sound to follow, generating a strange sensation that you are playing something that doesn't sound.
If you listen very clearly the sounds are in these spots 03:11:007 - 03:12:207 - 03:13:407 - 03:13:707 - .
Try to follow the drum better here by listening slowly to the song and you will get it.

permalink

fixed! now consistent with the oni diffs as well

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:13:407 - etc feel u could add notes on the drums

permalink

added

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

hm consider adding on 03:13:707 -
03:23:007 - 03:23:107 - also would add some notes, ik the gap is for vocal emphasis but this is the only place in this section ur doing it so its kinda weird

permalink
Reopened by _gt

added a 1/1, avoided the 1/3 note for emphasis still (also for 03:22:207 (54,55,56,57,58,59) - to match 03:17:407 (35,36,37,38,39,40) - )

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

not sure what you mean by avoiding for emphasis? now it just feels weird that you map 75% of 1/3s

permalink
Reopened by _gt

ill add 03:23:007 (58) - , but i dont like having just a single double 1/3

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:24:307 - can we avoid this sv jump its kinda weird

permalink

uhh i like how it emphasizes the blue note if thats ok

permalink

i mean its ok i just think it doesnt look good

permalink

r

permalink
Marked as resolved by _gt

changed it to have some acceleration in SV on the last quad instead

permalink

also think it looks weird, looks confusing with 1/4 ddd k, if you want higher sv atleast a smooth one with 03:24:107 - x0.8333 03:24:207 - x0.8666?

permalink
Reopened by Zhuosh

fineeeeee

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:24:307 - add break here?

permalink

added oops, not sure why it disappeared

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:25:507 - for effect can lower these barlines to like 0.75x then jump up here 03:28:207 -

permalink

sure

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:28:207 - higher volume like 60%~80% since the vocals are still pretty loud? (louder than the break)

permalink

oh yeah my bad

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:36:457 - maybe have a 3-3-7 instead of a 3-5-5 pattern instead? current rhythm feels a bit unsatisfying in relation to both vocals and drums

permalink

i think 3-5-5 still plays better, but I will keep this open if other modders bring it up

permalink

agree with eyenine here, 3-3-7 sounds better for the drums

permalink

ok changed it to 3-3-7 -w-)b

permalink
Marked as resolved by RedcXca

03:48:457 - can add note here to give contrast to other kiai endings since the drum is slightly diff

permalink

feels weird to have the finisher continued
