think kiai spacing could be improved quite a bit
current spacing is pretty monotonous with little proper emphasis outside of the very large jumps every other downbeat like 00:57:037 (1) - 00:59:461 (1) - etc
you're obviously emphasising vocals but many like 00:55:219 (3) - are very underspaced and feel super underwhelming, and while that may be ok on patterns that utilize wide angle movement like 00:55:825 (1,2,3) - things like my previous example dont get any other form of emphasis and feel very weak
some more are 01:05:522 (1) - 01:07:189 (2) - 01:07:643 (4) - 01:08:855 (5) - etc ;
01:10:370 (1,2,3,4,5) - this very high spacing jump chain is completely unnecessary there isn't any strong sounds to emphasize here and its not high point of the chorus
01:06:734 (1) - this jump is really overspaced and feels pretty jarring, this definitely needs a nerf
Some of questionable spacing logic in kiai sections.
The idea of a pattern isn't a bad one, but the map would be improved with more detailed emphasis.
The kiai can be improved in general to represent the section more accurately.
Rhythm-wise: There are multiple instances where it barely follows the melody/vocal of the song which do not contrast between different vocal phrases. For example, 00:55:825 (1,2,3,4) vs. 00:58:855 (3,4,5,6) where former has no vocals and latter has vocals but they are given the same rhythms and spacing (which will be explained later). The same goes for 01:01:279 (3,4,5,6) vs 01:04:916 (3,4,5,6) vs 01:08:552 (4,5,6,7) vs 01:10:370 (6,1,2,3) they have different melodies but given same rhythm which is really monotonous to play.
Additionally, there can be more variety to the rhythms (where the issue above also persists), an example is how 00:55:219 (3,4) two 1/2 sliders are abused throughout the map for different melodies as well when compared to 00:57:643 (3,4) 01:00:673 (1,2) 01:04:310 (1,2) so on.. a lot of these could be changed to 3/4 slider + 1/2 slider on 00:58:249 (1,2) or 1/1 slider + circle on 01:04:310 (1,2) to better emphasize the melody while giving it a less boring rhythm
Spacing-wise: There are barely any contrast between stronger and weaker vocal phrases due to how the whole kiai is similarly spaced, which leads to most parts being similarly emphasized. For example, 00:54:613 the song is at highest intensity here indicated by the high-pitched vocals, then the vocals weaken momentarily on 00:55:825 (1,2,3,4) to build up for another drop on 00:57:037 but its spacing is still maintained high ,which made the drop on the new downbeat pretty much weaker or the same. The same could be applied to 00:58:855 (3,4,5,6,1) 01:08:552 (4,5,6,7,1) 01:09:764 (4,5,6,1,2,3). The spacings here has to be nerfed in order to achieve a more correct emphasis with more variety for better gameplay.
There are a lot of examples that I would mention but it would make the post longer, so I hope this mod can at least send its message and hope that you would understand. if there's anything you dont understand feel free to dm.
00:15:825 - the spacing of this section is pretty much over the place, so the pacing of the section feels really random trying to represent this section properly.
00:15:825 (1,2,3,4,5) - initially it started off with low spacing
00:17:340 (6,7,8) - when vocals gets more intense, the spacing increases. This idea is applied similarly to the part 00:18:173 (2,3,4,5,6) and 00:19:461 (1,2,3,4,5,6) respectively.
The same idea is expected on 00:20:522 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1) but it does the opposite by having a jump on 3-4-5-6-1. The song barely changes but the intensity here increases noticeably and is maintained throughout.
00:23:098 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - also suffers from the same issue ^. The spacing increases the intensity so the doubles on 00:24:916 (1,2,1,2) that should be showing the song change didnt stand out much. On top of that 00:25:522 would play more underwhelmingly because of how similar they almost are
tldr; the map is supposed to change on 00:25:522 but the change is felt at 00:20:522 in the middle of the calm section instead, leading to a small misrepresentation of the song.
A solution would be to map the latter half of 00:20:522 with lower spacing to follow the idea consistently and show that it belonged to the calmer section. As long as it is not as big as 00:24:916 (1,2,1,2) to make this stand out, it would be fine.
